What's Cooking? - Mama Recipes

Very cute game with good gameplay premise, but very very buggy. I've had so many issues with it not saving my progress or reverting back to an earlier stage completely randomly. Sometimes it crashes after playing ads. I am really disappointed because I had a lot of fun at the beginning but now I'm losing whole levels with my progress being reset.

Love the art style & concept! Only frustrated w/ how difficult it is to create specific recipes even after they've been discovered; it's not as if a chef doesn't know what they're cooking until it comes out of the oven. This seems to mostly be an issue w/ event requests; so, it is nice that these quests can be declined for alternative ones. Definitely hope to see this game grow!

I love this little game, I consistently come back to it and i havent gotten bored, or overwhelmed with way too many little tasks that tend to come with app games. The character designs are really cute, it has a reasonable ad system, and it always feels rewarding when you FINALLY GET THAT ONE RECIPE. Not to mention, there arent a million popups that get shoved in your face before you can even get started. There's just the one ad, you initiate it when you want, and it's kind of part of the game too (your doggy). Anyways, just perfectly pleased. Love it.

I've been really enjoying this game for months now! my only problem right now is that the "playable ads" that come up for ticket rewards and extra card moves just dont load at all, and then it goes back to my screen and doesnt let me try playing the ad again. So I've been losing out on a lot of rewards because of this glitch. This only happens with playable ads, and I hope it gets fixed soon :( then I'll rate this ap 5 stars.

Very cute! I absolutely love the setting and characters. The only thing making it less fun is the fact that you have to wait a billion hours just for a CHANCE at getting the dish you want. You spend days mechanically repeating the same actions again and again, with very little progress, until you finally complete the tasks... and then start a new quest from scratch. I ended up uninstalling the app because of it... even though it's so adorable... 😰

I've only been playing this for a little while but this game is really addictive! The game has a pretty nice progression, with collectibles and even events to keep players playing. Playing the puzzles to get ingredients in the market is a very interesting mechanic that I really like. You are always given a choice if you'd like to view an ad, and you get rewarded in return. The only problem I have with the ads is that some of them are really inappropriate like the sexualizing of women.

Super cute graphics! This game is fun and easy. You can play briefly by just putting in dishes that take longer to cook, or spend more time if you keep making pan dishes. Even though procuring ingredients is based on a timer, I've had no issues being stuck and waiting around. There are ads but you're in control of them. Also, there was a recent bug and the support team responded to my email super quick and nice, even though I'm sure they had plenty of the exact same email. Very happy so far and would definitely recommend this game! Only suggestion I would make is options for your pet to be a cat instead of a dog 😊

I think the game is doing a lot of things right. The cutesy art style is great and the gameplay is nice for short sessions. My biggest issue with the game is that the progression is fairly forced through the challenges you need to complete to level up, I would have much preferred it if I was able to get experience in general by just experimenting with what I'm given.

I really like this game, bc it's so simple to do, and surprisingly, it's quite informative! The graphic is really cute, and the dishes are really expansive. But I found a bug (?), in the festival, that told me to make a dish using fruit and grill, but whenever I chose fruit as the ingredients, the cooking utensils were only pan, fryer and oven.

Bit of confusion, as there is no "Mama" character and the game's original title in the app is "What's Cooking? Tasty Chef," instead. That detail aside, I love everything about how the game looks and plays, but since installing it again, I've been dealing with endless errors and crashes. They often happen after watching an ad. Please look into the issue, it's really ruining the experience and I didn't have it when I first played the game two years ago. I'd be giving a 5-star review without it.

It's really cute and the concept is fun, but it's one of those games with loads of ways to try and get you to spend money. Cooking a dish takes time, waiting for new recipes to unlock, getting ingredients or upgrades etc. Yes you can watch an ad, but it's still kind of annoying. It is definitely a game that values pay to win.

One of my favorite non-scramble cooking games. Slow paced at most times, but you can pick it up whenever you like. Light hearted with simple but alluring graphics, hilarious parodies (Gordon Ramsey with a mustache), and you get to make food from all around the world in a stress-free environment. It's based on luck mostly, running out of a particular ingredient can get annoying, and I wish there was just a little bit more to do in the game, but that's all part of it.

Really fun way to learn about cuisines from around the world! The graphic is so cute and simple. The plot... there is no plot, actually. We're just fulfilling requests from your mentor, your friend, and a blogger to reach next level. That aside, this is really a creative way to introduce cuisines around the world.

I've only had the game download for a few days and already I'm addicted. I do have some issues regarding my rating. More often then not it tells me I can't have access to events because I do not have the right version downloaded, but there is no option for me to update. And every once in a while the videos don't play even if it says I have wifi. Other than this I love the game! Look forward to further updates, and hopefully getting those issues fixed!

Fun, casual game. There should be a choice in the settings in-game to disable all notifications or select which ones to receive. Being spammed when something finishes cooking or restocked is annoying, especially when I'm cooking with pans. There's also a ridiculous bug where you get 10s of notifications for the daily reward instead of just one.

I'm surprised by how much I genuinely love this game! First of all the style is really cute and all the dishes look adorable. Compliments to artists :) Completing challenges is exciting without being much of a grind due to gradual adding of new recipes. Everything is doable without using premium currency, and its easy enough to obtain one if you really wish to get some of those pro utensils or hats. I bought one bundle (I always do - its my way of paying for free games) and the contents last me FOREVER. Minigames are simple and fun and the abundance of ingredients I can get makes me sometimes cook just to see what will happen :) One thing I would improve - an optional notifications when cooking is done would be so nice, especially for oven or fridge. Other than that it's perfect!

I found this game difficult to pick up and enjoy. It seems very paywall-esque from the get go. For example, you cannot customize your character, but when you unlock a new outfit, you have to purchase it with in-game currency. It is not a reward. I was confused by the second cooking task, as I was asked to cook a vegetarian meal and I was forced to use meat as an ingredient. Doesn't that go against logic? I am uninstalling. Thank you for your time.

Great game, I like how dishes focuses on two main ingredients from different countries which makes it easier to remember and learn! My suggestion is adding a way where you can preview the ingredients you put together while it's cooking (would be a great update if possible!) (I tend to forget what I throw together sometimes)

I don't know why this app doesn't have a higher rating! The graphics are so cute and pastel, and the music gives me Disney Pixar vibes. It's such an easy, soothing, sweet game that always makes me smile! Plus there's no hassles, time crunches or failing, which makes it really calming and fun, and it helps me relax. Definitely 5/5 stars!

game constantly crashes and always after watching ads or during the ingredients game. Just now i went to watch an ad and the ad played so i got my extra five chances but now as usual the game freezes meaning I've just wasted the energy to play along with the ingredients I had earned. this happens a lot and it also crashes after the ad plays when watching one for the ingredients. there's also times when I'm connected to the internet but i get a message saying I'm not connected and to check the connection causing me to lose out on my only source of getting tickets. the event is hard to do as well as sometimes I'll do a dish but it doesn't register even though I met the dish conditions. the prices go up too high in the ingredient store too. i mean it goes from 15 to 300 coins after level 6 or 7. but the thing that really bothers me is the price goes way up on the ingredients but the dishes cooked are random and it's the low price foods almost all the time making earning money very difficult. i may be uninstalling soon if the prices and in game food randomizer isn't fixed.

Hiya, I am having problems with the new festival. When cooking with poultry the ovens disappear when you exit the game and come back but it takes the ingredients with it. Also when clicking on the festival to see what to cook the page freezes and you have to exit the game and reload. With us losing out on the poultry ingredients because of a bug can you reduce the 1 hour timer before we can get more ingredients. Thanks

Having a blast with this game, it's perfectly balanced so you can progress often and unlock new ingredients and ways of cooking. Also the support team was fantastic when I sent them an email about a bug in their festival (and they fixed it within 2 days and extended the festival and offered free gems to compensate!). The only thing I'd love would be a brief description of the dishes! But there's always Google ;)

I got bored pretty quickly, the game UI is beautiful but I feel more effort should be put on the gameplay. I spent 30mins making the same dishes, to make them is just choosing a category of ingredients and clicking 'Cook'. I feel for a cooking game, there should be more elements of cooking, ie. chopping the veg, prepping the meat, stirring the sauce. Making the game more of a challenge and varied. Even adding restaurant like tasks too could expand the game more. Defo got potential!

The game is fun and cute, it's very good but I didn't give it the best rating because it's based on luck way too much. You have to cook a certain meal to level up but you keep mixing the correct ingredients and waiting for a long time but at the end you don't get the dish you need to win. So you try and try and try and try... I don't like that it's based so much on luck and it makes the game experience less enjoyable.

The game is very cute, I love the concept and the gameplay, but I have a huge complaint: the waiting times are insane! I was baffled when it went from 20sec for the pan to 7 minutes for the fryer and then 25 minutes for the pot. It makes the game feel limited and it becomes boring very quickly, unless you can afford to pay for in-game currency.

I love this game, it's fairly simple and very relaxing to play. The animations and graphics are adorable! I also love that you can play pretty much as much as you want - many free-to-play games artificially gate what you can do with timed energy meters and whatnot, this has just a tiny bit of that in obtaining free ingredients, but for the most part I can just cook Pan dishes 24/7 to my heart's content if I feel like it, and you get enough chances to get ingredients to keep going :) The Halloween event is also very fun!

Really great game with cute graphics. Learned names of a lot of food from around the world. It's not pay to win. I've enjoyed playing this more than I expected from an idle game to be honest. Loved those puns in the game xD. My only issue is if I could save my progress by connecting to my Google or FB account. There's option for Fb but it doesn't work. Hopefully you guys are working on it. But please include the option to save with Google account too please.

I love this game so much! I've been playing every single day since downloading and I'm totally addicted. The art is super cute, the dishes look amazing, and I've learned a lot about different kinds of food. The ads are integrated nicely with the gameplay and I don't mind watching a ton of them. Questions for the developers, will there be more features and will past events make a return? I'd love to participate in them since I missed out on them initially. Thank you for such an amazing game! 💖

I want to rate this game five stars, because it is overall very good, but i want the game to have a save game option, so that i can keep my progress when i don't feel like playing anymore. When i uninstall the game, i lose all of my hard earned progress and i have to start all over again. Please add a save game option.

I absolutely love the game. Cute characters, delicious recipes, entertaining quizzes. I don't mind watching the commercials or how long some tools take but it does bother me the amount of tries and ingredients it takes to get the correct recipes. 5 star game but I have to give 4 stars.
