I purchased the photo recognition upgrade. Unfortunately it wasn't very useful in identifying flowers. had it not been an in-app purchase I would have returned it for a refund. The upgrade was not worth the cost. The disclosure that the upgrade is experimental was not forthcoming prior to the purchase.
Photo/picture recognition facility is actually surprisingly good and often gets good results. ID via selecting attributes is a bit more hit and miss and seems to have a fairly limited library behind it. In summary.. unobtrusive little app thats quite good at photo plant ID.
Paid for this app, still doesn't do any more than the free version. Can't upload a picture etc. Constantly goes to a screen that wants me to see the video on how to use it even though it doesn't work. Very disappointing glad it was cheap.
You're looking at a flower in a garden, somewhere. It could be from just about anywhere... but you have little chance of identifying it, because you have to pick a region. This app needs a reverse lookup, so that when you eventually learn the name of the flower from another human, you can learn what answers you should have entered into the app to get the right flower.
It's fairly good to use. When using the search by image option, all of the names in the result list are not accessible. Only one or two matches randomly selected by the app are accessible for description and taxonomy.
Sends annoying notifications about random flowers to your phone without opting in for this and there does not appear to be any way to opt out. I just wanted something to occasionally identify a flower. Uninstalling.
I am uninstalling this app. You have to pay $2.99 to identify by photo. This is after paying $.99 for no ads. After paying to identify by photo it doesn't work by selecting an existing photo. This app and figuring out how to use it isn't worth my time and money. If only I could get my money back.
It seems like it would be very useful, but I have this one specific flower I'm looking for but I don't know where it grows or what kind of plant it is, just what the flower itself looks like. I gave it three stars because I don't really know if the app works well or not, but it did give me a lot of suggestions, just none of them matched the flower I'm looking for. I've already gone through a few of these apps and none of them could find the type of flower. It didn't give me any problems though
While not a complete catalog, I have found this app helpful for additional pics and info when narrowing down the possible ids of many wildflowers. I use it as a supplement to my Audoban guide or occassionally on its' own when in the field.
Superior color, artistry vibrant Photos truly capture the quality of the flower and or plants This app is very helpful whether in a store, a field, a class or back yard. Well done! 🌻😊❤Thank you!
Very informative. Fairly easy to navigate. So many plants I have never even heard of. Could spend hours just scrolling. Thankyou.
Awesome app! Simple to use and very user friendly! I've tried 3 or 4 others but always end up coming back to this one. LOVE that so many new flowers are being added regularly.
The best wildflower app I know. Unsurprisingly sometimes but rarely crashes mid season cuz everyone is using it. No problem. Take photo. Research later.
Can find most flowers after digging around a bit. Using the free version so I don't know how well image recognition works.
Added the search function, which was extremely reasonably priced, and now use this app on a daily basis in the garden and out on walks. Love it!
Easy to use. Identifies flowers, plants, trees, weeds, and also gives likely symptoms and fixes if your plant is not healthy. Great for a novice gardener!
Sends notifications without permission. The app itself has no settings to turnoff notifications. Why such annoying behavior?
Almost every flower I've looked up I've found. And if I couldn't it usually turned out to be my descriptions that I didnt get right.
I can't always find the name of the flower I'm looking at, it needs more info and more flowers to be added, but still it's a good app.
99.99% SUCCESS - so easy to use when you're out and want a logical user friendly way of working out what that flower you keep seeing is.
very limited, there are only 69 white flowers in the whole of northern Europe? only get to select the colour and petal number. very little substance.
Maybe I don't know how to use the app properly. I'd love to be able to scroll through all the flowers of a colour. Often that is all one knows.
I really like this app. It is very easy to use, and contains a great selection of flowers. Hope they continue adding to them!
I love all the information. I use your photos and drawings as inspiration for my own.
Really enjoy it, entertaining and educational, plus the variety of languages is such a cool way yo expand knowledge
Usuful app but I would like greater content as I have been unable to find some flowers that grow locally.
hi there. i saw your map showing Malesia. but what you are showing are most of it are Indonesia. so please fix the map. thank you
The app is generally useful, I appreciate regular updates and improvements. That's why I decided to upgrade it. What I don't like is that when you purchase an upgrade you get only one freature. This is quite unfair because on the app webpage, there are only two versions advertised - "free" and "plus". I would expect that if I buy a more expensive feature, I'll get the cheaper ones included. But this is not the case and it's misleading. Either make it clearer or change the way of charging.
