WhatWeather Pro - Weather Station

Just what I was looking for when my old weather clock service was discontinued. I would like to see some additions/changes. I would like the direction of the wind included with the wind speed. Would like to be able to moved the display around. Would also like an option to maybe replaced the graph something else. Maybe in the future addition of radar. Love this app lots of great room for improvement but great enough that I bought the Pro version!

Best weather app in existence, especially to make legit use of old tablets or cell phones!!! This guy really has thought of everything and responds to suggestions and comments!! Would love additional color customizations aside from what is available, but as it is, it is as close to perfection as you can get!! To be honest, I may just keep the black option if there were additional color options anyway, because the appearance is sleek and it doesn't overly light the room. Extremely well done!!!

At long last! I've had years of disappointment with other apps trying to do the same thing on old devices but failing. The best part is being able to link to my own weather station. The only request I can think of is to have the option for less information on the screen. I'd like to have the time and temperature in larger font for the smaller devices, and the secondary information is too small to read at that point anyway. I can recommend this app!

Great way to reuse an old, retired tablet. Time, temp, current and upcoming weather at a glance, always on. No more launching and poking around weather apps. It's all here. Very nice display design/layout. Latest version has option to show actual and "feels like" temps at the same time. Very nice! Great value, too.

Nice app and the issue recently where data did not display due to a "app backend temporarily not available" error has been traced to an AccuWeather fault and has been correct. Also, Imperial amounts that had been incorrect due to a rounding problem bug has been researched by this excellent and responsive developer who has found an additional parameter that will provide more data detail. Outstanding!

Excellent app, love it. I have noticed that you have added clock font size which is great the only thing it is missing is the clock font color. I would love to be able to set the color to green. But in any even developer has done great job writing great looking app and provides it ad-free. Thank you.

Great! No need to throw away my old tablet which is in like-new condition, but doesn't receive updates since years anymore. Just bought a stylisch Aluminium holder and 90° Loading cable in addition to these pro Version, now I have a cool weather station and smarthome controller! Just wish a Widget from the app, so that I can use it as an additional fullscreen homescreen on my phone.

I purchased a full version of WhatWeather Pro - Weather Station last week from Google play. I am happy with this weather app at most, however, there is an issue bothering me. This app shows Red warning error message randomly, e.g., ‘Last update 07/08/20 02:03AM’. It looks like this app fail to get the update weather data from the weather sites sometimes. I am sure my internet connection was perfect. I have tried different ‘Weather data provider’ sites, but still getting the same issues. Please provide suggestions how to fix this issue. Thank you.

I've used the free app for a long time, now bought the PRO version to connect with my NetAtmo weather station. This app is perfect for old tablet usage as internet weather station, it has plenty of settings, working full screen and is stable. What I miss now is to see also indoor temperature from my NetAtmo. Is it possible to tune that please?

Great app love the idea, I downloaded for my unused tablet. But I wish there was rain percentage info or text saying something like "light coat today", "rain coat today", or "umbrella today" something like that, And better layout for far away viewing. I can see the time and current forecast easy from far away but wish the hourly forecast bigger, lastly customization for the history bar graph.

I loved this app. But..have experienced frequent *app backend temporarily not available* to where no information is displayed, replaced my tablet and repurchased, same errors. Completely up to date. Messaged developer with no response yet. So disappointed and tired of trying to make it work. Such a shame, nice when it works..

THE best app for displaying weather info. I use it on an old Windows tablet that I converted to Android. Love the look of it, and the developer responds to emails and might even put one of your suggestions in a future update. Well worth the cost!

Developer was awesome to work with. Supporting an app for a older version of Android is definetly an exception and he is a tribute to his craft. Software is extremely useful. Quick updates and well laid out. Only can hope for a radar shortcut or view window :)

I was looking for a replacement for my $300 weather station on our small farm. Prices ranged from $200 up to $1200, then I came across Whatweather. I tried the free version then paid all of $7.24 for this brilliant app. It draws its data from many sources and I need to be aware it's not collected in my backyard. We live in a hilly area so there are microvariations in wind, temperature and precipitation between what is displayed and what we experience . I can live with that. I have a choice of 3 data sources and they reflect minor variations given their separate sources of data. I sought help from Werner the developer and received a full and detailed response within one day... now that's service! So I now have my old Samsung tablet back in service, displaying weather 24/7, including forecasts for 5 days. And I pocketed 100's of $$$ in savings! Thanks Werner.. keep on developing this brilliant app.

Pretty darn good app. Almost everything you need to know is on one page, plus you have info for five days ahead with six time of day options presented in a smaller panel overlay. With so much info presented on screen, information overload may be perceived at first but with a little use it becomes second-nature to extract the data of interest. Works fine on Nexus 10 tablet (Android 5.1.1) and Mi9T (Android 10qkq1).

Excelent app. Only thing that could make it better is weather alerts. For example i would like an alert for a drop in preasure. Until weather alerts are a part of c the app, 4 stars.

Old tablet collecting dust? Mount it to a wall, set the sleep timer to NEVER, now it's a weather station. Perfect! Don't plan on using the tablet ever again, battery will be shot and the weather layout will be burnt into the display within months. Nevertheless, the tablet would remain un-used in my wire-box for the rest of my life. A great last-life for ANY tablet!

Amazing app and extremly responsive coder behind it. I had an issue installing on an older samsung tab and he responded the same day with some instructions. Keep up the good work!

Love this app, only thing is that very often it does not update to current time, red warning pops up and I have to restart the tablet several times per day, despite wifi connection being rather stable.

Excellent app. I use it on my old tablet and phone as a weather station. Wish it included an optional air quality indicator.

Buy an app then pay a subscription for "additional services?" Refunded and will uninstall. Wow talking about cheap! I could understand just a subscription fee but to pay $12.00 for an app that isn't 100% and then pay over 5 dollars for a subscription is dumb!

Best app for full screen weather display. It would be nice to have tides and be able to choose a weather station.

Having a message that says that the "app backend is temporarily not available and to try again later". Not sure what that means but I'm sure that's why the app is not working after latest updates.

Wonderful app!! Works perfect on my bedside table on my old Android Nexus 7 tablet. Owning a David professional weather station will be nice to have Weather Underground as a provider or even PWS.. Also weather alarms will be nice to have them.Dark Sky is good enough though. Black mode is perfect in the bedroom in the night and if you set your brightness to Auto will dim the tablet so is not disturbing the light. A WEATHER GIG MUST HAVE!! The Pro version is worthy even only for having the choice of Dark Sky or Accuweather!

I bought this app to use on an older android 4.1 device -Asus tf201 and it worked great. It's well worth it for lifetime option.. Good job making Whatweather! My opinion, (if anyone cares) 5 stars. It works flawlessly on my old 2012 Asus laptop i was gonna trash. so I repurchased. Dev, Thanks for the quick response!

Awesome! Spent about 6 hours trying to use widgets to create a weather station on a Google Nexus 7 only to have my wife look at it and frown. Discovered Whatweather and haven't looked back. Love it!

Very impressed.bit of a weather buff.but overall cant really fault a thing.tiny point maybe me.would it be feasible to get temperature more accurate to like 9.2 or 9.6 etc.tiny issue.well done

This is brilliant. I've resurrected an old first edition Nexus 7 and installed this app on it. It sits on my mantlepiece, permanently on.
