This app is good for reading messages... when it works. A lot of the time you have to close the app & reopen it to view messages. The messaging system is sub-par in-app & browser. What really makes me mad is when you type out a large message in-app, have plenty of signal, but for some reason it fails to send. Of course the common sense thing to do is retry it, but wait THERES NO RESEND OPTION! You can't even copy the failed messages text! Fix this!
This app is pretty easy to use once you play around with it a bit. I wish I could see who else is working on the shifts I have, though. It is nice to open it and immediately see your next shift, and easy enough to pick up the shifts you wsnt. I do wish you could swipe through dates instead of having to hit the arrow to go through weeks. Other than that, it isn't too shabby. I don't like needing an app for my schedule, but if I have to have one, this is it.
Scheduling non-repeating work hours and asking for time off is difficult, but confirming shifts is easy. If you work the same days and hours, this is the best app. If you have various hours (classes, multiple jobs) this is frustrating.
Difficult to use... My employer assigned this app to me but it's difficult to login because it doesn't remember my script name and password. The first attempt after several tries was successful but after that it's been difficult to login.
App works good, sometimes it doesn't give me notifications though and whenever clicking on notifications for chat group. It receives an error loading so you have to click back and then click the chat to have it reload
So handy! I can see not only my shifts but everyone that's working working and I can better plan for my shift as a result. The messaging feature is very helpful for shift coverage, planning and discussing changes and improvements inour service and facility.
This app has so much packed into it, I'm still learning as I go. It's pretty cool to have everything in one place. Sometimes it is difficult updating when a wifi signal is unavailable, though.
Used to be amazing but since the latest update, I have shifts showing for the wrong person and people's unavailability doesn't show up. Desktop version is fine though.
Use this for work. Have trouble viewing schedule on Samsung Android. It squishes the calendar. And when I click on a shift, the window doesn't fit the screen.
Crashes sometimes and have to log back in. But overall it's a decent app other than the minor inconvenience of having to log in sometimes more than once.
Since having this app I have noticed that the work chat always has issues. I get the message that says "Work chat isn't working right now. We're working on it." I use this app frequently and I have problems with the chat feature DAILY!!!
Works as intended. Still a few bugs and syncing issues every now and then but a great resource for most companies.
It takes a bit to get used to it, particularly how to drop shifts when you take on too many by mistake, but its fairly straightforward and effective.
I absolutely love When I Work! This has made my life as a business owner so stress free and simple. I was doing spreadsheets and text messages with 20 employees and it was taking way too much of time away from my business. The customer service is impeccable. I am a huge fan and a customer for life.
Great, but would love for it to have at least one or two non-wifi features as when I'm disconnected, I cannot access it at all.
Hey y'all, So this is my 1st time even hearing about this app. Yet alone working for a company that uses it. I was rocky as first because I didn't kno what to do or how to properly use it. Well my Higher Power keeps working in my life an within a matter of time, you would think I've been using it for awhile. Don't give up!!
Great App! Used it in my last three jobs, all made it smooth to set availability, ask for time off and even switch shifts with coworkers
App constantly crashes. Chat, never loads. Feels like this app is held together by paper clips and gum.
I never have to ask management for my schedule.. it's always on the app, it also allows me to contact my job if ever there is a problem.. it's the perfect app for employees and employer.
I've just started at a new job that uses When I Work. So far it has been great! It works just as advertised and is very easy to use.
Availability function is rubbish. It either does work, puts in the wrong range or removes blocks when you try to add/remove one day.
Would be great if everything that is emailed as opportunities for open shifts would appear on the message board of the app also some do some don't.
TNT: I am under the impression that this is all new but still understand how it all works. So as with any app, I start with 5* stars and use that for the bases for evaluating the way the app work's and we will see. So far it has not been clocking me out when I leave work. So I given it sometime for the bugs to be worked out.
This app is great but It would be even greater if you added the calendar sync functionality to it, even if it's just the download link alone. Having to force a login to wheniwork on my mobile browser to get the files is a bummer.
Wow! Great approach to personnel organization. Manager duties were just easier to do and plan, especially in f&b sector.
It should be a great app but it is hardly funtional at the moment. The first thing noticed is that a new shift cannot be created from the app, the form disappears right away before I see it clearly, sometimes it crashes. Besides, I do not understand why we need to provide the edit and delete contacts rights in order to sign in with Google account.
