I've had the premium version for years, and this was byfar the best "find your phone" app I've run across. I only took away a star due to the decreasing functionalities of the app, which is actually not the DEVs fault, it's the new security features of Android. An update is SORELY needed to this app, as it has not stayed in front of such issues. Many bugs are now present due to DEVs lack of interest anymore. This app used to be a favorite but is quickly falling into the "unneeded" category.
I have elite and it doesn't work at all. The only feature that works is that it notes where I am when my phone's dieing and not a single feature more. Support is unresponsive. Has anyone had success with this app on a newer xiaomi phone with an updated OS?
I have lost my phone more times than I ever thought I would have. It's been in some of the dumbest places.. like in the couch, in my refrigerator, and on the dirt trails when I was riding my 4-wheeler. Pay for the pro version of this app because it is worth it!! ...Especially when you consider how much a new phone cost $$
Ironic that this app holds its settings hostage, demanding an upgrade to Elite subscription. "Failed attempt" photo captures are forever sent to the address you give on setup. If you no longer want that person to receive those images, be prepared to pony up. So think ahead, down the road they could become embarrassing weird photos sent to your ex in the middle of the night, and you will only be able to stop it if you pay for Elite or delete the app. Guess which option I'm gonna choose!
Used to be great. Doesn't work consistently anymore, and keeps around features that no longer work. Also, when I try to take a camera shot it says you need pro or elite to use it. But I have pro and have for a long time! For whatever reason it no longer recognizes it. Shame. Looking for alternatives.
I'm going with 2 stars instead of 3 because of the frustrations this app has caused which trumps the usability. I've used this app on an Lg G5, Galaxy S9 and LG Velvet. While the 3 remote functions via the website seem to work, 9 out of 10 of the phone functions do not and I've tried endlessly to figure out why. Functions like "send user e-mail" or " take a picture with front/back camera when stolen" or, "trigger alarm when airplane mode activated" or "three failed lock screen attempts" ALL DO NOT work. In the end, if my phone is stolen, there is really no data recorded unless I request it via the web page, which could be hours later and of little use (assuming the finder/thief resets the phone). On to the next app.
This app works great. Interface is easy to use. The pin option is a good & easy interface for quick access. Overall it has been a useful tool.
Good when I originally install it, however my phone with this new version is doing strange things it didn't do before the installation like modifying the volume...
Won't activate delete and when people turn internet off before leaving a place it's easy to stay on and there's no protection against uninstalling as advertised. Barely works. Subscription still doesn't lock unlock elite with either version of the app. If it matters I'm on an S21 Ultra. LMK when it's fixed plz
I use this most for simply finding my phone when it gets misplaced under a towel or something and I have no idea where it is, so I activate the remote siren and voila, phone found. Brilliant. Note that SMS trigger no longer works because of Android security, not because of this app. So you need to trigger via a browser and your account. When your phone accidentally slides behind your couch cushion, is set to Silent, and you are going bonkers wondering where it is, this app is a HUUUUGE help.
Used to be great. However, under the guise of "Google made changes to how text messages work in new versions of Android" they pulled text message support for all versions of Android. Also, poor design for adding devices means that if you're at your three device limit you cannot even remove a device to swap in your new one, you're forced to find a computer to do it. Commander is so clunky and slow. Still useful when you need it, but no longer great.
I really like this app and have used it for years. The problem is when I ring the phone the found screen not longer available and I can't turn it off. I'm forced to restart the phone just to shut it off. I have a Samsung S8, I wish the company would fix this issue. Everything else is working perfectly fine. Update: Just uninstalled and reinstalled the app and reset all the features. Now at least it gives me a small pop-up notification asking if I found the phone and when I click it it stops.
When I first got this a few years ago, it worked perfect, exactly as described. But after repeated updates, I found it would often ignore the text prompts and would not respond, either with sound activation, or GPS sending. These are the 2 most basic and important features of this app. If they're unreliable, it almost renders it useless.
The app has some really great features. The interface looks kind of crappy. The home screen would look much better, and be more useful, with a map with your devices marked. That big ugly gauge is an eyesore and completely useless once you're all set up. Like I previously stated, a map would be much more useful.
Life saving app!! We have a 2 year old that likes to take my wife's phones and leave it in random places when she isn't looking. We use this app daily to find her phone. It has saved hours of searching for it. Truth be told, we lose our phones on our own quite a bit as well, and this has been extremely helpful.... Like yesterday, when one was left in the backyard... Basically, ratings only go up to 5 stars, but this one should go up to 11.
It was even better when you can send text messages to it and have it ring but it's okay
I just installed it and I hope it helps me next time my phone goes missing in the house. As I always leave it on silent mode I can't ring it when I look for it but this ap makes it ring very loud even on silent mode and also turns the light on it (if you chose that option) I tested it several times and it worked perfectly well. A time and life saving ap ❤
