WHIO

The app will not open at all. It did when I first downloaded it, but for over a week, it won't open. I get notifications, but I only see part of the story. When I click the notification, the app looks like it starting. I get the spinning circle for several minutes, but it never opens.

I use the app every day. I wish they would remove older news in a timely manner. Some stories are on there for weeks.

WHIO doesn't cover Springfield news enough. We have no news source in town and depend on WHIO and yet they only cover Springfield maybe twice a week and do not follow up with the stories. They need to do better.

Thing that that really grabs me with WHIO ANYTHING, is that they still have the same reporters. Something about the familiarity of seeing mostly the same people in our living room every evening always attracts me to choose WHIO news and weather over all the other stations

The app works adequately for getting the daily headlines. The apps inability to auto rotate causes stores with photographs to be cut in half. Reading newly posted stories about events upcoming that have already happened can be a bit frustrating. But, it does continue to be the best app of its kind for the Dayton area. So I can see little incentive for it to change to make better.🤔😎😽

Your typical experience with this apple be horrible. When you click on a news article a picture displays along with a title and then on the bottom towards the bottom there's a whole bunch of white space that takes 30 40 seconds to load several ads. This will refresh and you'll have to wait another 30 or 40 seconds. Completely obnoxious deleting this app. Do not download.

App won't run 80% of the time. When it does its just reruns of the same 20 minute clip of yesterday's news. Also no national or world news! This is a rural area where people like us cannot get satellite TV. It would be nice if we, near Bellefontaine in your viewing area, could depend on this 'local' area station to keep us informed. There is nothing around us that does this.

The problems of the past have been cleared up. This is now a nice app. The only issue I see is a lack of proof reading.

I'm a WHIO fan and like watching the morning crew while getting ready for work. This review is solely based off this app. Unfortunately, I cannot get the app to work as of late. I have uninstalled it several times to no avail. Same message every time I try to open "App Could Not Be Started - The app could not be started. Please check your network connection and try again." I do not have a network connection issue. I am very frustrated by this.

Great app to use in catching up on local and world news.

I like getting up to date information on current events and weather.

I've used this app for about 10+ years now. I have never had any issues at all until 2 days ago. It will not load. AT ALL! Keeps telling me to check my connection. All of that is fine! I uninstalled the app and re-installed it. Reset my phone. Still nothing. Just keeps trying to load. Not ok! I use this app to keep up with the local news as I work 2 jobs and have a family to take care of. Not much time to sit and watch the news on TV. PLEASE FIX THIS!!

Great Love this app. Use it many times a day. Provides news and interesting general update today topics. Sometimes I have problems getting it on Android Wear. I love it when I can get on.

Anytime I open it when I don't have a notification it closes. Someone needs to fix it. I just downloaded it today so it doesn't need updated.

News part is great, but the sports part needs updated daily. Too much is left on the sports page for weeks if not months. I live out of town and keep up with things in Dayton, just tired of seeing the same things in the sports world ,there's things happening everyday in sports and I turn to other apps to find out things. Please fix it.

App loads slowly, then as I scroll down to see the stories it magically takes me back to the top. Does this every time. If I click on a story and read it, and go back to the main page, I find myself back at the top of the page. Very irritating! Ready to uninstall the app!

Easy to use and up-to-date local news.

On Android phones the graphics such as weather outlooks and picture within an article are cut in half right side not viewable. Works fine with iPhone. I have had two iPhones and three Android phones in the last 4 years and this is consistent. Does app need to be updated for Android?

The news headlines are always timely, but the sports updates are several days behind.

This app is okay, when it wants to open. For the past week or so, I have no issues getting push notifications but when I try to open the app, it stays stuck on the loading screen.

Local updates. Many repeats at same time

Used to work but about 2 weeks ago it started to freeze. Said it could not connect with the internet. I uninstalled and then downloaded again. No change. I tried to contact the developer and my email was returned. Dish no longer carries Whio either. Sad. I have been a faithful viewer for over 50 years.

Since my phone updated last week, I have only been able to use the WHIO-TV app on a very spotty basis. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, and have updated the app. Nothing works. The weather app works well. Can you please fix this????? Thank you.

Absolutely awful. Too many ads. Trying to watch a live stream of EMERGENCY weather about tornados in my area and an interrupts it right as it's about to tell me where the warning is for. I get you need ads for revenue, but it should be illegal for them to appear during an emergency alert.

The app has always been enjoyed in the news of course being from Dayton Ohio I enjoy there seems to be a problem with the application right now suddenly it just quit working and yesterday I deleted the application and reinstalled it to see if that was the problem and it is still not working so I don't know what the problem is but whomever reads it if they would pass that on to the higher power so I would appreciate it

I would give this app a better rating because it started off with no problems at all. For the past week I can't even get the app to even load. I have unstalled and restalled about three times now. When I do that it works for maybe an hour then it goes back to not working again. I have had this app for a very long time and I just don't understand why it just stopped working in the past week. I don't know what else to do and it makes me mad bc this is where I get most of my news from. Not happy
