What are trumps?

Whist is an English card game with NO trump. Teams bid high or low depending on if them think they can take 7 or more tricks. First team to bid high determines which team is going high. HORRIBLE slaughtering of my favorite childhood card game!

A good introduction to no-bid whist, i like the way it highlights playable cards in your hand. Excellent interface, would recommend.

Played this before on IPhone - this Android version is currently missing displaying what is trumps in centre of playing area - you can't tell unless you observe a non player trumping a hand

This game is pitiful. No options to bid and motion of cards is very very slow.

I have always loved the game of whist but whoever developed this game did not know the game. I can put up with not getting any trump for many games in a row, but when my partner cannot play the game correctly, it is very frustrating. When she throws away a king on my ace and has a small card the next lead,it is really aggravting,and other stupid things that happen every hand, I am ready to QUIT!

I know it sounds odd but my partner, Ann's smile genuinely makes me want to smile back. I think I may have to get out more. Good game a bit odd in places, I'm sure our opponents are kicking each other under the table and Ann doesn't seem to be concentrating enough, but I forgive her.

Sadly. What spoils it for me is the size of the cards makes it difficult to select. I don't really need to see the backs of the other 39 cards when dealt. Just had to take off a star. My partner plays like a child, throws away top cards whilst keeping base cards!

I wish for once a developer actually knew how to play the game they develop it is not random like they claim played over 50 games , and 70% of the time I would only 2 or 3 trump and those were low. My partner would always take my trick then lead back with trump or something ridiculous or not take a trick when they could. It is ridiculous that they can't get it right. I have yet to find a card game that is truly random or played correctly I have been playing cards for over forty years. This is even worse than the pinochle games I have tried!! Would give no stars if I could.

About every fourth or fifth hand, the trump suit fails to display, which makes the game essentially unplayable. Otherwise a good game. With that flaw fixed, I'd give it five stars.

Partner plays like she's in the 3rd grade..partner skill level is sick..(literary)** sick...nice game but skill level of computer is SLOW MOTION

Very buggy, won't accept screen touch's off and on.Forces cards to be played.

The instructions were not very clear. Once I figured the game out I noticed that whenever a different suit would play I only received few of the same suit. Or if it was every suit for itself I wouldn't receive any high cards. Plus my computer partner always played dumb moves. The game doesn't seem fair for all. The game itself is cool. I think this app needs to go back and change some things that would make it better though.

The gameplay is generally good, but a few times I have seen two players play the same card (usually nine of clubs) and there is often a no trumps hand which, under my understanding, don't form part of the game of whist traditionally. The partners play unrealistically.

Whist. Have no idea what trump is. Would be helpful if showed what trump is otherwise I like this game.

I love that the game design did not require personal information. My only gripe is that I never know what is trump.

You are supposed to BID for TRUMP.
