Super Awesome, seriously. Beset with Tinnitus, this is the ONLY WAY that I can sleep or read, or rest without all THE NOISE OF THE QUIET overwhelming me (fellow sufferers will understand). And unlike some Major Commercial Apps, you don't need a subscription to keep it open all the time, and the people "contributing" are also awesome. The variety, scope, and depth of content is frankly amazing.
Absolutely amazing and affordable. The chirping crickets have given me a peace of mind that I haven't experienced in a very long time. My tinnitus virtually disappears while listening. And I can watch TV without the crickets bothering me because they sound real as if I had a window open on a warm summer night. Thanks!!
Why is there no way of seeing only the favorites list? We already can't delete certain sounds we don't want (why??), but why can't the favorites list be viewed by itself at the same time? Why am I being forced to see sounds I'll never be using in my list every time? I actually paid for this app but this is very annoying.
Skipping or noise interference is causing me to dislike the app. If it's a repeating stream it should be downloaded vs using a coonection to avoid static or problems during play. Every stream gets noise and it's very irritating. Might as well go with Alexa noise.
Simply can't sleep without the pink nose sound generated by this app. Simple interface that's easy to use. The night clock is not bright which is ideal for sleeping and can be set to on or off.
I have one of the latest flagships, and yet the sounds are laggy...with tiny pauses every quarter second or so. It's really disruptive. The app used to work great, but now it's hardly worth using. Edit: scratch that, not worth using. And somehow the one that I didn't give you my money for—the lite version, the one with ads—works fine? Shady.
Great app, but somehow the sound settings are only applied in the edit mode. They are stored but not applied, at least the volume setting. Really sad.
Exactly what I was looking for. Great selection of sounds, and even more user created sounds available free through the market app. Can also set a time for the sounds to stop. Perfect app for sleep
Surprising amount of features to really dial in the sounds you want. Even has a community of people who upload custom sounds and music. The tools to mix and edit the sounds are robust and very creative. Excellent app.
Great app for helping you sleep. Wish I could cast the audio to my google smart speakers and not just chromecast displays. I hope to see it in a future update.
I love this app. I use it literally every night with a little Bluetooth speaker. I especially like that I can create mixes. I like to layer rain sounds with something like Huge Waterfall for the bassy sound. I find that if I use only one sound, my brain will start to find patterns in it when it repeats, and that prevents me from sleeping. But with layered sounds, since they don't have the same duration, they rarely overlap each other in the same way, so my brain never finds any patterns.
Really helpful for replacing my white noise machine when I travel. The only issue is when I set it to play a song as the alarm, I have to double-check that a song is selected. Even though it's a saved alarm and I had the song selected the last time, sometimes it wipes it out and the alarm plays nothing. Obviously a problem bc I don't wake up!
I love this app and have used it for many years now. The only reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because the app doesn't have native Chromecast audio streaming. You can stream it to a tv, for whatever reason, but not to an actual speaker. You have to go through the Google Home app and mirror your device to your speaker to get that to work, which is a bit of a pain if your phone isn't "optimized" for screen mirroring. As soon as they can get native audio casting, I'll bump it up to 5 stars!
Just the best for sleeping. I used the lite version for two years to sleep and it has only failed to put me to sleep instantly a handful of times. Now I use it at work to help me concentrate and it, again, it just awesome. I know there's others out there, my the thing I like about this is the ability to customize the entire experience for listening. At the very least try the lite version and see what you think.
I've really enjoyed using the app, it's easy to download new sounds and has a wide variety. I've been using it for a while now. My one complaint is I've had it completely wipe out my sounds and mixes about 4 times now. It's really annoying, I create mixes I like and it will be fine for months, then all of a sudden I go in one night and it's all gone. No idea why this happens and I have to redo all the mixes. Edit: dropping a star because it deleted my stuff again. Emailed developer.
I absolutely love this app, it helps me get to sleep every night. My only issue is that yes it has the ability to cast, but only to tv's through chromecast. I wish I could cast it to my Google Home Mini because that's what cast to from your app's Spotify sounds. I don't know if this is for every sound, but for Brown Noise it does this weird fade in thing at the beginning and when it's on repeat, every ten minutes it gets quiet then loud again. I'd either like that to be fixed, be able to cast to my Home Mini, or both. Other than that, I don't use any other app for sounds to help me get to sleep. Keep up the good work! Thanks, guys!
use it every night, favorite sound is a thunderstorm that was recorded by another user just a few miles from my home. Just wished it supported Audio Chromecast/Google Cast. Not sure why the feature has not been added. Putting my whole phone into screen mirroring/casting as the developer recommends really isn't a solution, since it's somewhat buggy and takes up resources. So I just end up using Bluetooth.
Love this app and used it for years until the latest upgrade caused it to randomly stop, causing me to wake up at random times at night. Contacting the vendor about this was also less than helpful. Told me to disable the timer (which had nothing to do with the times the playback stopped) and didn't fix the issue. Reporting that it didn't fix the issue has led to no response now for several days.
Nearly flawless. 2 detractors: The market feature adds unnecessary clutter to the UI. It uses too much battery to display the clock overnight on my Asus tablet. Starting at 100% and plugged in 8 hours, the battery is at 50% in the morning. On my Pixel 3 phone it's fine. The good: the interface is easy to use, it operates flawlessly, the sound selection is perfect and the mixes are fully customizable. Best app of it's type.
A solid white noise app with a lot of options. I used the free app for awhile and decided it deserved my support for the many nights of peaceful sleep and help concentrating in the office. Unfortunately, I can only really use the staticky sounds because the loops for the recorded ones like ocean, rain, etc are too short and I begin to hear the attern of repetition of certain sounds, which is more distracting than restful. Your mileage may vary.
bought this app twice, lost the credentials to first Google account. worth the price both times. loads of free sounds and the ability to mix them gives endless options for meditating, sleeping, focusing, or drowning out idiots arguing in the next room. only complaint is that it doesn't like to stay locked in portrait mode when it's locked. for all the good it does me, who cares?
Drains your battery. I went to sleep with phone in airplane mode at 92% charge. Ran this app for 8 hours, woke with 36% charge. Bummer. Not something I'd want to use regularly, if it's going to drain my battery that much. Others say you can't hear the loops, but I could hear the loops in the heavy rain pouring, so instead I used a mix of heavy rain, extreme rain, white noise, pink noise, & brown noise, which was wonderful; I slept really well. It is disappointing though about the battery drain.
Overall great. The only issue I have is the white noise will randomly stop while I am sleeping. I don't have the settings set up that way. Maybe there's an issue while playing over Bluetooth but my Bluetooth speaker stays plugged in so it doesn't die. More often than not I sleep through the day no problem though.
Using app for many years. Suddenly is draining my battery in the background (App not running) in less than 2 hours from 100%. Samsung Galaxy Note 20. Please fix!
Buy app and find out I I have to buy another app to not get adv. *edit* The postcard is an advertisement, even if it's your own product. It should only show up if I click on the postcard, not on pretty much everything you touch. It's pretty damn annoying, especially since you get at link to the pro version so it doesn't show up. Don't get me wrong I have no problems, paying for my apps. I definitely don't like how you sell this app. And yes I did buy the Pro version so the postcard would go away.*2nd edit*Thanks for the tip on disabling postcard. This should be the default setup and then ask the customer if they want to have the postcard enabled during the first time use. The postcard is definitely an annoying feature. None of your screen shots have this feature in them. If your proud of this feature then show them in your screen shots.
For a reasonable price it has every feature necessary to create ambient and/or white noise. The only other app I've found that provides such seamless layering, and customization choices for how the sounds play over eachother, expects $99 for their service, and then can't even be bothered to remember it charged you and treats the account as lite still (according to a multitude of reviews, I couldn't believe the price tag and had to see what others had said about that). I've paid for this app on mine and my kids devices, we've even recorded and uploaded our own favourite sounds during hikes and camp outs. I just cannot recommend white noise enough. This app does exactly what it promises and then some, and it is 100% affordable. I love it, and it has become my personal choice for background soubd during sleep, meditation, fine motor work, kids homework help, study, and dog training.
this app is very good to release your stress and for those who have trouble to fall asleep. also, for peeps who have problem something like a sound lag with tiny pauses every ¼ second, just set your "Multithreaded playback" to "never" or "always" depend on your device and "buffer size" to maximum.
