White Noise for Baby

I was looking for a free white noise app without ads or in-app purchases, but I didn't expect to find one so nicely developed. This has a simple and elegant design and nice sound quality. I like the interesting variety of white noise. The only thing that I would change is having the sound play indefinitely by default instead of using a timer. Overall, an unexpectedly wonderful app. Thanks!

Excellent app and really easy to use. I love the simple layout, nice interface and clear background settings where you can adjust default running times. I've used lots of similar apps but this is easily the best and I wish I'd found it before the others I've been using up until now. I've two young children and they sleep to the sound of the waves. I also use white noise sounds at work to calm the kids I work with. When I'm writing or editing playing ambient sounds helps me concentrate.

Great for getting off to sleep! We use this every time we put our little one down and it soothes her straight away if sleep is what she's looking for. The different noises come in handy if she needs a distraction from lots of crying first. Thank you! Would be great if there was a way to turn down the volume automatically (like the fade out) after a set time as we often need to start with it quite loudly but like to turn it down after she's slept a few minutes.

This app is excellent. Simple and straightforward to use. There are zero adverts or unexpected interruptions. You have a wide selection of white noise options and can do other things on your phone while it goes. There's also a timer so you can manage length of noise and also has this quick and gentle way to turn it off. My baby loves it. I LOVE IT. If you want peace of mind download it.

Love this app! Bought my babies a white noise machine but it times out after an hour stopping suddenly and only does two types of white noise. Cost £30. This app has so many choices of noise, you can set it to go for as long as you want and when it stops it fades out so no suddenly silence to disturb the babies. And it's FREE! 5/5 as I can't see any flaws with what I use it for.

I'm very picky about sound quality and tried several white noise apps before finding this one. We use an actual sound machine ($50) for my toddler so I know what sound quality I'm looking for. We didn't want to spend that much money for a second one for my baby and this app is perfect! The waves sound is great. I generally hate a lot of noise but this sound puts me to sleep too. Easy to use and great customization features. It is the perfect balance of simple and effectiveness.

Works an absolute treat for my 16m old. I've been using the app since she was about 6 months. Its so easy to use. The controls are so simple you can even sort it out in a sleep deprived daze! I have it downloaded on an old phone for her for sleep and on my own phone for just in case. I never notice ads if there are any? But that also helps a lot too. A seamless experience. I also love that there's no light given off as my LO won't sleep unless it's totally dark!

App works with no ads that pop up, except it's missing some crucial features. 1. Cannot schedule a time for the noise to turn on and off. 2. Cannot delay the start time to a future time. 3. The default duration only goes up to 4 hours, but we usually sleep 8 hours. Good potential if it could add these features.

Best of the 11 sleep apps I tested! Most of the critics complaining are either liars or do not know how to read instructions ... or how a volume control works or how media player codecs can affect other apps. I highly recommend the car sound. Worked reliably and quickly. Now I can sleep instead of driving around in the middle of the night.

Easy to use interface, really nice options. I suffer from insomnia and this has really helped me start getting to sleep easier; falling asleep in less than an hour is pretty much a miracle for me. Being able to adjust how long it plays for helps as well, because when I inevitably wake up, I know how much sleep I have (or not) gotten judging by if it's playing or not.

This is one of my most important tools as a new mother. The fan noise is PERFECT at covering up any unexpected noises we or our neighbors make in the night. Even if something startles her awake, the sound quickly calms her back to sleep. Love love love this app, especially thanks to its low impact on battery life and the extra long timer option. The fact that it's free and isn't constantly interrupted with advertising is another big bonus.

This app really helps me get to sleep. There are several sounds that work for me. Being able to set a timer is convenient, and I love that I can turn off the screen of my phone to remove the light without shutting down the app. With no ads to deal with, this is clean and easy to use. Excellent work guys.

It worked for my 8 month old, who fell asleep within ten minutes of selecting the night sound. Also, the dark interface and no ads really helped to not distract the baby. I have uninstalled many baby sleep apps, but am keeping this one.

Absolute lifesaver! At first I only used it to put my toddler to sleep. But I've discovered that if leave it on during the night, she sleeps through the night without any interruptions. Before she slept a maximum of 9 hours each night and would be very moody in the morning. Now she sleeps 12 hours easily and wakes up very joyful and energetic

Not just for infants. This is a great app with clear and simple options to control a good range of sounds which helps me concentrate during the day and sleep at night. Could benefit from some crowd noises, e.g. bus/rail stations, swimming pool, busy office etc. for daytime distractions. then would score 5*

Lovely simple UX. I like the low contrast as baby doesnt get distracted by the screen. Good range of sounds. Things that would improve it would be a "shortcut" that starts a chosen sound playing (eg from home screen) or an option to start a sound as soon as the app is launched.

The best white noise app I have found. I have been using it for almost a year and never had any issues. Such a simple design and easy to use. If there was a premium(which there is not) I would definitely purchase it just to support the developer of this app.

Just perfect. A range of sounds (one baby prefers the car, the other baby likes the vacuum cleaner), easy to use, adjustable play time. Always available wherever you are without needing to take a separate white noise machine. Can still use your phone while it's going. Definitely helps our kids go to sleep, and stay asleep for naps. ETA: just read the author's description and I must commend him for his thoughtful app - no ads and free because some parents might not be able to pay for it 👌

A simply perfect little app. Good choice of sounds and all the settings you need with no unnecessary ads or permissions . The rain noise has worked like an off switch for the boy for all of his 9 months. Calms the crying and helps him get to sleep when he needs to but really doesn't want to . If you're wondering what white noise app to use, it's this one.

Sent from heaven! seriously! when my baby is screaming, fighting a nap that we both know he needs or in some cases when I can't figure out why he is upset, within 10 seconds of turning on one if the several choices, he quiets down and sleeps. I'm so happy this morning 3 new sounds were just added!! You can add time, adjust how much time it added with each tap, adjust how long it will play for before fading out and adjust how long the fade out will take. i use all the sounds, too!

I love this app! I have been using it for a year at least. I love the variety of sounds, and has the loudest options I could find. I hope I never have to endlessly search for good white noise sounds again! I just wish it had a more memorable name, because I always forget when I need to download it on a new device, but it's free, so!

This app is awesome. It helps calm my 3 week old down nearly every time I put it on. I love the fact that it continues to play in the background on my phone so I can use it other apps. Also it plays when the screen is black and locked and doesn't require wifi to operate which doesn't drain my battery. Everything about it is a positive. Do not spend your money on a white noise machine just download this app!

Faultess app. Never crashes (my main criteria for soothing a baby). The sounds loop in a pleasant way so as not to be irritating. It continuously plays for 12 hrs which is amazing, then calmly fades out. The only thing that would make it better would be a womb sounds option.

Great white noise loops. Good dimming of screen. Excellent customizable settings, and simplicity of ui and navigation. Great job developer/s! This app has been an absolute gem for use with putting the little one to sleep.

This app does everything you would want it to do. You have a choice of several sounds; the duration can be customized; it continues to play the sound after the app is closed or the device is locked; you can run other apps while the sound is playing; it's free and it has no ads. What more could you possibly want?

Very simple app that does the trick. Even the most tired parent wont have any issues. 2 min of water & my little one sleeps deeply. I tap "fade away" and the sound gradually disappears. Sudden disappearances as in other apps wake her again. This does not.

Absolute lifesaver at getting our three week old child to sleep after a feed during the night. Before using the app he would be unsettled and usually wake himself up, causing us hours of "work" to get him back to sleep, now the white noise just helps him to drop back off quickly!
