very useful and relaxing. able to save combinations. highly recommend. there are ads, but unobtrusive. --Edit-- The ads became intrusive. Have to watch an ad when opening and when setting a timer. Additionally, it seems as if all my phone's audio is occasionally being muted upon timer end. Could be user error or coincidence. But it's rough to see money ruin an otherwise good app.

Easy timer and mixing functionalities are overshadowed by aggressive ad placements. Want to set a timer? Watch an ad. Want to adjust the timer you just set? Watch an ad. Want to press play? Sometimes you've got to watch an ad. Don't want ads? You can pay them $4.99 a month. There are other good white noise apps that are ad supported but less intrusive, or cheaply available for a one time fee. I'd recommend those over this even if it does have nice mixing and selection capabilities.

Used app for years but recently completely ruined itself with nonstop ads. Let me tell you, when I'm finally tired enough to fall asleep and try to turn on my white noise with a timer, the last thing I want is a 30 second ad. Would consider paying for the full app if it wasn't such a huge battery drain. Will be looking into new white noise apps

This app was wonderful, I have used it for years. But now the advert placements have really ruined it. When I want to add additional time, usually when I'm half asleep and trying to stay sleepy (the whole point of the app is to aid sleep) an ad now appears when it never used to. And every time you go to use the app.

There are a good variety of sounds that you can mix and match but since the last update there are not only there normal banner ads (that don't bother me) but they have now added video ads when you set a timer AND when you start the sounds. It's pretty obnoxious and I'm going to try out new apps when I get a chance

Good sound choices with easy mixing. The sounds are steady with no noticeable looping, and they play until you pause it. I put this on every device. Great app! === UPDATE === With the latest update, forced ad-watching is required when you start and stop it. I usually get it ready to play right before bed.. Then, I start it in the middle of the night with one click if I wake up. But now I'm forced to watch ads and navigate buttons while half asleep in a dark room. This is terrible. I downgrade to 3 stars from 5, and I will be looking for something else. Too bad, this was a perfect App.

this app was better before it constantly shoved ads in your face. Nothing helps me sleep better than a great big white screen of an advert suddenly popping up without announcement! Also a subscription based model for an app like this is really... strange. I wouldn't mind making a one off payment for a premium version but a subscription seems a little eager. Just an example of a developer who had something awesome then got overcome by greed. Shame, really.

The inescapable ads are infuriating, and you can't avoid them unless you pay $25/year for the premium version. That's a lot to pay for a simple white noise app. They ruined a good product with these ads. Paying $25 once to permanently remove the ads might be something I'd consider, but I'm not doing that every year.

Horrible, invasive ads have completely ruined what was once a great, simple app that I've used for years. You need to watch/engage with an ad to do basically everything now & it's beyond frustrating. I refuse to pay yearly to remove the ads (would consider a one time fee), so I'll be finding a new white noise app.

Legitimately upset by the updated ad experience. This was/is the only white noise app I would use to help me sleep for the past 4 years. Now? The ads are overwhelming and in your face. All of my sleep routines are disrupted (when you're a very sensitive sleeper, this is big). Cannot recommend this app after whatever updates just got pushed out over the past week or so. Hopefully it gets reverted.

I've been using this for years - it was a five-star app until now. In fact, I will continue using it on the tablet that doesn't connect to the internet and therefore can't upgrade. But long and difficult-to-escape ads, repeatedly whenever I open the app, make this version useless. And while I would have been willing to pay for the app, I'm _not_ willing to pay an expensive subscription. $25/year is waaaay too much. I like the brown noise, but I'll find it in another app now.

Another promising app ruined by greed. I used to get one ad on opening the app and one every now and then when changing sounds. Reasonable enough. Now it's constant. Every time I press a button on the app an ad pops up, plus random ones all the time. Who wants that on an app to help you sleep?

Was five stars even with ads but now the ads have become intrusive. VERY intrusive. In an app designed to be soothing and help me sleep i start the white noise and set a timer only to be forced into a full screen video ad for call of duty mobile! LOUD gunfire and music wake my partner and i can't exit out of the ad for at least 30 seconds!!! This happens every single time i use the app. I'm officially done, the last thing i need before bed is a late night fight with a now angry wife.

I used to love this app, bit recently they put full screen ads in when you try to start the noise. Nothing like getting blasted with a full screen ad with sound while you're trying to fall back asleep. And they want $3/mo or $25/yr to make them go away. Pure greed - you're a noise app!

Opened an inescapable ad, only option to continue was to go to the download page for that app, even reopening this app would just bring up the inescapable ad, so I had to shut off this app and start it again. Second issue, I literally just wanted white noise like staticky white noise like a white noise maker would make. For some reason this app that's called white noise generator doesn't have any of that. It's all relaxing. Noise isn't sounds which is all well and good but it's not what I want

Recently they've started pushing full screen ads(in addition to the banner ones) that even after they are closed they follow up with a "2nd part" or the same ad(to be honest that's a cool trick to force feed 2 ads in a row, however not so cool for the viewer). I guess greed is limitless si it's time to move to another app.

This was my favorite app, then they ruined it! Forced ads, and the timer no longer works. Its just shuts off and restarts randomly so even if you manage to fall asleep it starts up again and wakes you up. Looking for a replacement app now.

I have loved this app for years, but now the ads have become intrusive and infuriating - and there is no way to stop them, other than restart my phone. The sounds are excellent, but the ads have ruined the while purpose of the app.

Edit: Ads are even more annoying with recent updates. You now must watch an ad to start the noise! Ads are annoying and jarring (especially for a calming white noise app), and it is far too expensive to remove them. This app is not worth 1/4 of a Netflix subscription...

Obnoxious ads that take you to the app store if you touch your screen in any way. Only way to make the app usable again is to close it out completely and re-enter. This just isn't the way to implement ads.

I use to really enjoy this app until they started to have video ads that would go blasting off at a high volumes. I will not be using the app anymore because I can no longer use it to keep my children asleep, it just wakes them up from with the ads.

The forced ad at 3am cause i wanted to remove a sound is just the kind of experience I came for. Please fix having to see one with every single tap, its probably the stupidest decision I've seen done in an app recently. Like how stupid do you have to be to force an ad with every tap IN AN APP USED FOR SLEEPING BRO. Stupid.

I bought this app previously as a one time purchase, but this is no longer an option. They require a monthly purchase now to remove the ads and gain full functionality. I simply can't recommend this app to anyone anymore. If the developers weren't so greedy, this would be a great app. This was previously given 5 stars, now 2

The new update forces you to deal with obnoxious ads and cuts off the sound abruptly after the timer instead of fading out. Not cool. This is supposed to be an app for relaxation.

The ads really ruin it, incredibly intrusive and the expensive subscription to remove is just not worth it. Otherwise the app is great, I would have been happy to pay a smaller one-time payment like similar services to keep add free

Simple, effective design, user-friendly and intuitive interface... And an agreeable level of advertisements displayed... Nothing more that I could ask for! Thank you and keep it up :)
