Whizzky Whisky Scanner

Very little updates to this app. Frustrating to use as it's database is not up to date. The add a whiskey function is clunky. The find a friend feature doesn't work, it will say "poor internet connection, try again". It's been saying that for months btw, with full bars. I wrote to the developer long ago and it seemed like it was going to improve but it has not. I'm only using it as a whiskey inventory and even that is limited as it's too hard to get store picks listed, or multiple bottles.

I love the layout, better than some, navigating is a pain and the search for following/ followers doesn't work, that comes back saying poor internet connection. I've emailed the developers and they came with they're working the issue, problem is I've had the app for almost a year and it has not cleared up. I guess what can you expect from a free app.

Created an account on the web site. Saw there is also an app available for Android, so I downloaded it. Tried to login to the app, but the only option I have is to create an account. Tried to create an account using the same email address hoping it would provide me a link to sign in, but only an error came up. Will increase my rating once I can use it both on my PC and mobile device with the same account! Please fix this gap as you guys have a great, easy-to-use platform. Like it more than other apps I've seen.

Somewhat cumbersome and slow. Often takes multiple attempts to locate the correct bottle. I often have to manually add bottles of they're somewhat limited in allocation. Really want to add number of bottles for duplicates. For example, I have multiple bottles yet it only lets me add a single bottle. Can't manage my collection well without true quantities.

Great for keeping tabs of my collection... When it works. More than half the time when I go to add a whiskey to my collection, I get a connection error. I can manually add the whiskey as long as it's already in the database, but if it's not I've got to retry 59 times till it works. Aggravating!

It is a great app to save the experiences and see how people think about the profile. The problem is that the performance is not optimal. Search is very slow. Adding a new item is often not working. Internet connection is often disrupted.

The app helped me, a noob, buy a really nice scotch! The UI seems a tad cluttered, but it's still easy to use. Taking the label picture has a bug, causing the camera to defocus on shutter depress, which may have an effect on label recognition.

I would like to put 5, but: 1. When I send feedback nobody answers!!! 2. It is not possible to sort my collection by rating. 3. It is not possible to filter my collection so I can see only non-empty bottles. Team, I can help You with items 2 and 3 for free. And I'm sure that it will increase popularity and usability of the application.

Pretty decent app. The database is a little lacking with some of the new bottles but adding them to the database is easy. Would be nice if you could add multiples of the same bottle to your collection and needs to have a way to add store picks to your collection.

So far no whiskey from my collection could be found when scanning the label. Tried about 15 mainly Bowmore and Macallan. Search option had a few but when adding a bottle to the collection its adding the previous one as well which has to be deleted. Great idea but so far not very useful.

I can't really recommend this app. Despite the great features, it's pointless because the app is either caught in an infinite loading screen or says there's a poor connection when there clearly isn't.

There are some whiskies it can't easily find in its database, but it's collection feature is amazing. Love it for that, if it could get real bar code scanning it'd be perfect.

I used to love it, but sadly it has deteriorated to the point of being almost useless. The app freezes and stops constantly, and scanner regularly fails to find new bottles. I am now looking for a new collection app.

Works fairly well, I really like being able to scan a label and find the whiskey, hasn't been wrong yet. I do wish it worked faster transitioning between the different views and functions.

Last update broke it. Search function no longer works. Photos no longer work. Just sits there with the rotating circle. Uninstalled and reinstalled still nothing. Pointless if you literally can't look up whiskey lol. Note 10+

Would be amazing if there were some way of filtering or sorting your collection beyond showing only empties. Let me sort by ratings, or hide empties. As it is its a great app that just misses the mark.

App stopped working. It is just showing a blank screen now. I have already completely reinstalled the app and cleared all its data. It seems to be broken right now.

Looked like exactly what I wanted, but would not scan and find anything I tried to. Kept getting a "failed to upload" error message, despite having an in home cell network and broadband wifi.

I cannot find the login screen in the app, only the create new account. So I cannot retrieve my previous notes etc. If I try to leave feedback I cannot because I am not logged in. Apart from that I remember it as being nice.

Love how it finds the whiskey just by scanning a picture of the bottle. If it's not the correct versiin, you can manually search for the correct one and it will find it for you. Awesome job!

The app refuses to recognize that I'm online and repeatedly responds with 'poor internet connection'. This happens with both wifi and 4G. And I have excellent connection.

Cannot add a bottle more than once. I also experienced the white screen issue. Emails sent in are not answered. Looks like I will be uninstalling.

I've never reviewed an app but had to take a second to give this a one-star rating. I'd give it zero if possible since I can't even use it because it doesn't even recognize my email address (I tried 2 legitimate accounts).

Functions awesome! Only issue is I can't find a button to log in, only able to sign up, but I've created an account on in the browser version. Could you please advise?

I've been using the app for around a year without any issues. I always use it for whenever I want to know more on what I buy. They even kindly added a whisky I asked for.
