I just tried to install this app on my new Android phone. It will install, but will not allow me to register the app and use it. A chat with a YouMail rep tells me the app is no longer available and they have nothing to replace it. Is this strange to anyone else? If it isn't available, why is it offered on the Google PlayStore and why can I download and install it, but not use it? The rep just told me YouMail stopped offering it so they can concentrate on the YouMail app. that is fine, but it would have been nice to share that message on the app page instead of allowing me to spend valuable time and effort trying to reinstall. This was such a helpful app. Sorry they have stopped offering it. Feb 20, 2019
Can't even log in. Got a new phone, new number, so it's asking me to register for a new account. Entered all my info. Register button doesn't work. It just does nothing. Was a fan of this service and Youmail for years, but now I can't access it at all. How disappointing.
Great, This app allws you to blacklist unknown callers which means the blacklisted numbers will not be able to call your phone. If they do the caller gets an automated response like, "This number is no longer in service."
Used to be great. Then I did an update; now I can't blacklist, report a spam call, or do anything! I've had this app for so many years. Now uninstalling.
Does not work. Say to register but I already have an account. When I put in info to register nothing happens.
love the Caller ID. can't find any other that show the NAME of the caller.
Works pretty well at IDing spam callers and blocking them.
Been using this app for 4+ years and now it wont let me log in!
Attempted to register but nothing happens when i select register.
Won't work with my Galaxy Note-9
Doesn't work anymore. Thanks for the heads up!
Love seeing when it is a Scammer and Blacklist feature
Been very pleased with results!
Can't register
Does what it supposed to do
I used to like this app because it would give me the name of who was calling, now it only gives me the city and state. Not sure why they changed that. But I'm going to look for another app that will actually identify who is calling me. I'm mobile notary agent and it's nice to know whether to answer the phone or not.
Good foundation and I've used this app for years. Sometimes gets a false positive but what doesn't. I think the pop-up interface can be a little wonky at times. Won't work if you don't have a data connection (e.g. you get a voice call but you're roaming).
Just started using it so I don't have a handle on all the features yet. I do know it's already making my life easier, as I get a phone number with every call and the option to block if I wish.it is also a time saver, as it shows the state a caller's number is from. This gives me the way to get rid of those callers who say they're calling from Illinois, but their phone number is from Texas! I also wish there was a way to back up the app so I don't have to start all over when changing phones! I've used it longer now and it's great. So glad I put it on my phone! I just got Nougat and it's working well with it. Update 2 May 26. The more I use it the happier I am!
Works ok. The main thing I don't like is when you block a number it.gets added to your address book. Not a fan of that as I always have to delete those then. It is helpful to know who is calling but it seems to be having less information about numbers than when I first downloaded it. For a caller ID it is having more and more UNKNOWN numbers. Defeats the purpose oh installing it in the first place.
I like the idea of this app very much, but execution is seriously flawed. The "Add Your Report" feature no longer works at all: I keep getting the error message "To allow you to comment without being signed in, we need to know that you are a real person", even though I see no way to sign in or out, I've properly filled in all fields (including the new "Your name" field), and I see no captcha. Also, WAY too many totally legitimate calls are marked as high-risk.
Unless I'm missing something - this app is pointless. It only gives me the number calling - which I already know. It never shows me what is in the example in the photos. You can maybe look it up after the call but during it provides no other information. I'm disappointed because I LOVE the YouMail app. If I'm missing a feature - please let me know.
Rediculous in the 2nd decade of the 21st century that you cannot edit Contacts in the app. How crazy, nuts is that? Probably like the parent app YouMail they'll tell you to use your PC. Insane! I run a $5 million a year business using the best smartphone and tablet available without going near Any PC. Do I have to find a library and sign up to use the computer after I register for a library card? Crazy, Nut Case Company!
Works for me but a bit slow if I need to look up the number while the phone is still ringing. Good blocker though.
I have had this app for a very long time. However with the update I can't even open it because it crashes every time now. Please fix.
It doesn't block call marked on black list and doesn't identity the caller . Just the area call comes from .It's a waste of data.
It won't let me sign in but I also have new number but my you mail app is ok
No update in 2 years, won't let you log in. Not working. Please remove this app if you aren't going to work on it.
I really like the app and the way it interfaces with Youmail. I CAN NOT, however tolerate the ads. Please make an ad free version.
It does find the address and name registered to caller! I am happy that it was an 11 yrold with a new phone. His father got on the phone and apologized to me. (Called me twice, so I was curious)
Just tried to download to my new phone only to discover it's no longer viable. I'm hoping the current 5* gets the developers attention. I had this app on my last three phones & loved it! They say to use their other app, YouMail, to make up for some of the lost features, like blocking, but I have to create contacts of unwanted numbers to accomplish that. In addition to everything else this did that YM just doesn't, though not optimistic, I'm hopeful the developer has a change of heart. Great app!
