Wholesome Cats

I love this game and the developer, the design is adorable yet the battles and game play it's self is so frustrating, which is unfortunate since I believe this game has a lot of potential. A lot of the encounters you make are so hard to beat, most times your hits don't count and the opponent wins, the characters seem to bump into eachother making in impossible for your players to damage the opponents health. An over all great concept, adorable design, yet not so great functions.

can you please add "Are you sure you want to purchase (ITEM)?" I spent 8 COINS!!! on more storage for cats by mistake. Please add it so people don't waste coins. It's gonna take me forever to get more...! And I don't see why it's so many ads for a coin. Edit: Also, 90% of the time when I use a cat with something to throw it misses... I try to level up but still no.

It's a great idea except there's no tutorial on how anything works, plus the battle is very confusing and often is annoying, especially when your cat misses for almost the entire round. Plus if your stuck on a level there's only one other way to level up your cat and there doesn't seem to be an in-between with the enemies. They're etheir really hard or super easy.

One of the best games I have ever played. It's adorable in every aspect possible. The background music is perfect, the plot is fascinating, and the characters are all loveable and have their own uniqueness. The battle system is kind of sideways, and it would be splendid if the developer made adjustments to it. For the meantime, I recommend having only two cats in your team. (preferably shooters to knock back enemies and give you time to damage their health) I would easily give this a 9.5/10

I love the game,it's lots of fun but there are some big flaws. 1. "Fleeing" My big problem with the flee mechanic is I will accidentally press it and there's no "are you sure" message so I lose in the middle of the game. This is worse when I'm ABOUT TO WIN but I accidentally flee. 2. Attacking. Really my big issue is that the enemy with NEVER MISS and I'll miss 6 out of every 10 shots. This makes the game really unfair. I have more but there's not enough space here. Thank you!

While in concept this game is lovely and adorable, the battle system is very unintuitive, frustrating, and at many times you just kind of have to force your way through after failing a LOT. Couldn't get past the first few levels. It's pretty much unplayable. But on the upside, the characters are adorable and playing this game made me feel really happy and calm for a bit, so it still gets 2 stars instead of just one :^)

Cute, but very poorly constructed. The battling is not very turn based. When I choose the Fight option, most times my cat will just walk forward and stand, then he gets hit and that was his move. Perhaps that was the intention of the developers, because they are unaware of how to create a real challenge? It is unfortunate as the rest of the game is not bad. However I can't paly this because of the said issue, which appears to be everyones problem and it is still not being updated or fixed at all.

This game is amazing! I love everything from it! I love the artstyle, the concept, everything! But there are few problems tho.. First of all, sometimes the game freezes and I have to go out of the app! Second of all, When I try to hit the enemy a lot of the time it misses, but the enemies just have a good aim! And the last and third problem, is that, coins are hard to get! But overall this is an amazing and perfect game!

This was really cute! It's a more laidback kind of game you could play every once in a while for a few minutes. But I think adding more features could add to the gameplay. Maybe something engaging that could possibly make us want to go back again amd again. Also, love your art! (Btw! Hopefully, someday you could also put your other games from itch.io available for mobile users as well. The visuals are just stunning along with the emotional stories.)

I really liked it! It's an awesome game! But I rate it four cause some of the level are kinda hard (for me) like the last level at the computer, I know this is a stupid reason but can you make it easier? But after all of that the graphics is nice, the cats are cute, the music really fits, but some of the cats are impossible to fight (for me) like the angel cat....

Beautiful art design on concept, and an adorable cat collecting game with flavorful lines and quirky characters. Unfortunately, the game itself needs some major polish. Everything constantly misses while the opponent always hits, the actions work in the first two levels and then never again anywhere else making them utterly useless, and the game bogs down and freezes when running for awhile. I want to love this game as the art and aesthetics are amazing, but the gameplay is downright awful.

This game is really cute and visually appealing along with the cats desgins, but it seems like no matter how many times I level up and try to fight the other cats, I CANNOT WIN!! that's the most annoying part. Not only that, but it would be nice if we weren't forced to fight other cats every single level. I got so annoyed with this game that I uninstalled.

The games design is adorable and I love the art style. The first few levels are simple but as I continue it gets weird. You can't use a cats Act multiple times in a level, it brags about using Acts but the acts often never work, and some battles in the farther areas are impossible to beat without fighting. Its a fun game but gets frusterating after a while. 3/5

it's a cute game! the art is adorable and the plot is amazing, but the battle system is messed up. id move the flee button to the top of the screen, I've accidentally flee and lost silver too many times. my cats miss monumentally compared to the opponents, and are blocked wayyy more often. on the other hand, the character's are amazing, the art is fabulous and the story is excellent! overall, a few (major) battle updates are mandatory, but otherwise id highly reccomend it. well done ♡☆

I love the cute art, but as others have mentioned, battling is super confusing and doesn't make much sense. There's not much explanation on how it works, and when playing with a team of 4, they run into each other. I think this game would be better off focused on collecting the cats, but overhauling the combat system or removing it completely.

Super cute game! Really nice storyline, the graphics and sfx are really uwu. But.. Extremely clunky gameplay, and it seems that some battles are unwinnable unless you grind for hours on lower levels. And, the 'flee' button is super easy to misclick. And, halfway through the game, I softlocked myself. I was trying to get the act win out of one of the hard levels, & i kept selling my cats to try to get the right ones. Well.. i lost all my cats and couldnt get more. Cute game, not great execution.

Amazing game but could use some improvements. For example, when choosing a cat to fight from behind another cat, they can push the cat closer to the opponent making the opponent hit my cats faster. and becuase of that I miss my chance to hit them because they hit first. really annoying I can't fight properly.Kinda ruins the enjoyment. also fish is a little hard to earn and levels get kind of hard fast.I have most cats 10+ and one 18+ level and still can't pass city level. please fix somehow :(
