Search bar is not working. I didn't used an app for a few months so I don't know since when precisely. Restarting phone didn't solve problem

This app is great. More detailed than I thought. Not only do samples come up it tells you if other artists have used the instrumental as well. Very underated. It give multiple results as well as time stamps so you not searching through the entire song. And something else, you don't have to type the exact name of the song which is very nice, whereas other apps may come up with another result just because you didn't put in an apostrophe. I am also a massive advert hater and they rarely come up.

It could be better because its not 100% accurate. For the most part the information is reliable but some songs that i know use samples, there is no information for and some songs just have incorrect information. But to leave on a positive note it is fun and cool to learn about and be able to compare a song to the sample used in it.

Dang this app is Amazing. Sometimes I just can't believe how they gain access to certain samples used. This app has expanded my music knowledge and enjoyment Sooo much over the years. I recommend this ANYONE who loves music. And if your just a casual listener. Look up your favorite artist and I guarantee this app will take you on a journey you'll never regret. Get it!!!! I only wish I could discover some of People Under The Stairs samples as this app has only like 3. Maybe the People won't let t

Great app, only thing holding it back is the poor Ad integration. I keep getting full screen advertisements that refuse to go away and have no timer. I get Devs rely on in app purchases and adverts, but please make it so that the ads go away and don't take away from the user experience. Cannot fault the rest of the app or the database functionality, top notch.

I use the app a lot. Very useful and informative. The ads do pop up a lot but thats not what bothers me. The app is kinda glitchy when you try and type stuff into the search bar. And minor bugs here and there, could use some work but overall decent.

Maybe I'm missing something. After searching an artist, I can't scroll the results for the samples. For example, let's say a band has been sampled 100 times. There's no way to view those; just band member info and discussion. That's it. Can I get some assistance with this matter before I uninstall this app? The website is far better.

LOVE this app! Used to constantly just go into the website years ago. The app gives you same great experience just easier access is all. Damn if you love music. Especially Hip Hop, or really any genre.. F***ing get it! I'm a hip hop head so finding out all the original samples.. Which this app basically has all of them, truly broadened my musical horizons and experience. Get it! I mean it's free!

I wanna be clear that I'm rating JUST the app, NOT the service provided. Their website and services provided are 10/10, but the app is a 0. I get that you need to make money and letting anyone use the scan music feature would be costly. However, forcing people to have that subscription to remove ads, which are full screen and intrusive? No thank you. I'd gladly pay a 1 time $5 purchase to remove ads and then lower the subscription to $5 to $8/yr. Until then, I'm sticking to the website.

I'm a frequent user of Whosampled and I find the app very helpful when I want to look up songs. Occasionally, the ads are annoying, but I want to support the site so it's OK.

App does not scan device's music and gives a network error message. Did not used to do that. What changed? Can't view past saved songs either. FAIL

I think the price of $10/year for music identification is a bit expensive from a consumer perspective. Lots of apps already do that for free. On top of that the user interface leaves much to be desired, it feels very dated. I appreciate the website but this app is not so good.

This app is the best!!!!!! I was able to find a specific cover of a song that has a hundred covers I was unable to identify the one I preferred before. Also, I've been obsessed with looking up all my favorite songs and artists and finding their influences

Only reason to use this app is the Music ID, but you have to pay for that, something which is not made apparent until you try to use it and is a ridiculous price at $10. If you're only using the text search, might as well save space on your device since you can do the same through a browser.

The app is frustrating to use. You're better off using the website on your phone's browser. It's also extremely easy to accidentally subscribe yourself to their useless song identification service. In short, just use the website and not this pathetic app.

Eli. B. Sep 8, 2021

It is a cool idea but unless you want to pay 10 bucks you can't use the actually useful functions like going through Spotify or identifying a song you are hearing. Since it doesn't have a huge library, finding a niche song you wanted to know about is hopeless.

Ash. C. Jul 31, 2020

The app is a mine of information, but whereas you used to be able to select whether you wanted to see songs by an artist which had been sampled or covered or whatever - as you still can online - the app now doesn't seem to offer that functionality, rendering it incredibly difficult to use.

The. Apr 15, 2020

The website is bettwr than the app. I never tried the scan function as i was not in need. Needs landscape mode badly. When you submit sample sources, they aregue against it when i know im right. They will include influences for soongs instead of samples.

App has a deep bank and is user friendly. You can get to the bottom of most any song, even the old and obscure. It's been correct >99% of the time I've used it. The paid version is worth the $.
