Wi-Fi DCS
When paired with MTH's DCS App and our new DCS WiFi Module, you no longer have to imagine controlling your model railroad with your phone, you can!
The DCS WiFi Module plugs into any DCS Track Interface Unit (TIU) and provides the user with wifi control over the layout when used with the MTH DCS Mobile App. Setup is simple and quick and the module can be configured as a stand alone unit or easily conneted to an existing wifi network.

The only problem I am having is with the Export function. It will not work on the Android version of the app. I also have the iOS (Apple) version of the app and Export works fine on my Apple devices. The rest of the app works well, and I prefer running my trains with the app instead of the remote.
App is much more user friendly than using the controller. Quilling whistle is much easier than thumb wheel. However on Android 12 it freezes frequently and needs to be restarted.
Works great! update needed for the size of the (+ )& (- ) on the speed indicator. I Keep going to 120 accidently by touching the speed display and not the digitized button. #CostingCouplers
Tried to upgrade to premium. Google took my payment, I have a receipt, but the app didn't upgrade. since Google sees that I did pay for premium it won't let me try again. i don't know what to do to fix it...
What more needs to be said about an MTH product? they all always work as advertised. I am still a bigger fan of the physical remote BUT its cool to have the kids use the trains in a mannor more suited to their electronic expertise lol. Thanks MTH!! YOU NEVER LET ME DOWN!!
I like this app. The DCS remote requires you to guess what the dumb abbreviations mean, while this app has it all spelled out for you. Very quick to scroll from screen to screen.
Doesn't work out for me. I have the TIU that has the ability to plug in the WIU but it wont work even after I refresh it 5-10 times.
app can not export files mth is aware of this from Feb 2019 still no fix.
Sometimes glitches and doesn't let me use my already set up trains but works okay most of the time
you are so limited...keep your remote...if you have more than 3 engines this is useless. save your money
Freezes regularly on Samsung.

Having on hell of a time to get it to work. Nor sure if it Xfinity or what. No matter what I try ain't working 6 hours a d nothing.

Note: BUY A GOOD QUALITY NAME BRAND TABLET! DONT CHEAP OUT with the $50.00 no-name brands or you can expect problems!! Also, keep your TIU updated with the latest version. If you run outdated TIU version it can cause app control issues. The App is excellent and clearly the future of how to control MTH Protosound 2 and 3 engines. I've had this working with two different TIUs, that have two different TIU addresses with WIU connected via ethernet to main router/network and it works excellent. From my experience using the USB port is better than the 9pin serial. I've found using 7inch tablet to be the best device size.

The app is great is makes it easy to run trains. Everything is laid out nicely and easy to get to. My only complaint is that the hitboxes for the rev and boost/brake buttons are small. Even for my small fingers. 4/5

Great App - I use it as my primary means of controlling my DCS system (I don't own a DCS handheld remote). Once it discovers the TIU, I'm able to perform all standard DCS operations and commands. I love the ability to use the app on multiple or different Android devices. My only two "wishes" are better or faster integration with the WIU/TIU (Occasionally it fails to discover a TIU, even after multiple refreshes) and an open RESTFUL or intenful API
Overall app works well. My only complaint is that the Rev Up/Rev Down and Boost/Brake buttons are too small on my Pixel. Seems to be plenty of real estate left over. Button size is fine on the iPhone 6 that I installed on. Apple buttons were twice as big as Android.
Perfect for DCS. Controls for everything on the layout. The premium version is the one to get.
I like the MTH DCS WiFi APP, it is better then the MTH • DCS Handheld Controller. The soft keys are a big improvement over the handheld controller. No more guessing, The APP is very user friendly. This is the best way to control a model train layout.
App works great for me😁 as a note I have the WIU signal set to run through our home router otherwise I've noticed the smart device being used cuts back and forth between regular Wi-Fi and the WIU
Excellent app! The premium version is worth every penny and is the best way to run your layout. Finally, I can put away the old DCS & Legacy remotes.
Simple app that does the job. I find it much more intuitive than the normal DCS remote or TMCC/Legacy remote. It's not perfect, and occasionally have to refresh the app to get running again. Wish TMCC Locos stored their running speed like DCS/Legacy, but I think this is a fault of the TMCC system and not the app.
