Wi-Fi Now by U.S.Cellular

Useless. This app was recommended as an app to use for wifi calling, however, it doesn't allow the phone to make calls over a wifi connection without an additional app.

this app some how automatically downloaded on to my phone and i did not no it in tell it poped up a notification

can u change it back to wear it tells u if your logged into the wifi or not

I would just like to know, what the worst case scenario is if I remove the application?.I neither need nor like it and yet it renders WiFi connection at my house, the only place I use WiFi, useless because it only forms an "Unverified connection" to my home router. And yes I've read that it isn't intended for home use and as that is the case it shouldn't interfere or block use of my home connection, in my opinion.

It does NOT automatically connect to WiFi ANYWHERE. Not even at my house! So pissed at US Cellular for dropping WiFi connection

I might as well go without because I can't get it to work inside my house. Only in public.

Simple app. Install it and forget it and behind the scenes it gets me connected to list of public Wi-Fi, saving my data plan and often giving me better speeds when in large stores where my LTE is slooow.

Wi-Fi now is a pretty useless piece of bloatware that usually accomplishes nothing except for disconnecting you from saved Wi-Fi networks. Most phones will automatically connect to open Wi-Fi networks anyway. Its a pain to try and uninstall, as it is built into the system and will remind you every week to reinstall to "enhance your mobile experience." What a joke. Uninstalled as soon as possible. Shame on you US Cellular.

This app doesn't even deserve one star. It won't connect to any open WiFi networks, including my home WiFi, causing my data to go way past the limit. The updates don't help one bit. Once my contract is up I'm done with U.S. Cellular.

This is consistently causing wi-fi disconnects no matter where I am. It is a special pain at home, constantly having to reboot to get the thing up and running. What is disappointing, like other things such as Tone Room Deluxe, you can't uninstall it. What a joke!

It keeps crashing and says failed connection so I have to go in and forget my WiFi then go in and re add and put my password in. It also started doing this thing where it says that my WiFi is out of range which I know isn't true because my room has the most internet connection in the house. Overall bad app but still have to use it because I go over on my data monthly.

I have this installed on my Galaxy S5 and never had any issues until recently. It will randomly stop working and when I try to access the app or my phone settings, the phone freezes. After multiple reboots it still freezes and locks the phone. It takes removing the battery and letting it sit for an hour or so then it will kick back on and works as it should... until it decides to stop working again. It's becoming more and more often that it happens. Very frustrating to say the least.

This app sux drains your battery and ups your data usage. Fortunately my other note2 broke n the new one doesn't have this app installed on it, guess us . cellular read some of these reviews-even squirrels fall out of trees. ...

I am suddenly having issues with this app. It started with constantly disconnecting from my home Wi-Fi and yesterday it just flat out wouldn't connect and still won't connect. Thank you US Cellular for for forcing broken worthless battery draining bloatware on my phone that I cannot remove. FIX THIS WORTHLESS APP OR COMPLETELY REMOVE IT PERMANENTLY REMOVE. I would much rather have my battery last longer than this sad excuse for an app.

This needs to b updated badly. First the app itself looks horrible and outdated. Secondly it don't work right. Turns on when have asked to forget connections. Turns on when there isn't even WiFi I can connect to. And also randomly shuts WiFi off at places it shouldn't right when I'm doing things. Its annoying. I'd rather turn my WiFi on and off manually through widget or settings then even deal with its look and less then stellar performance. Please kill this app cause its a total waste of my phone space.

Since the update, this app makes it impossible for me to connect to open Wi-Fi Networks that have been existing hotspots for me for almost a year. I cleared all of my data, started over, and still can't connect. I KNOW it's the app update because the wifi networks are available, but wifi-now won't authenticate and the connection always fails. I've really just about had it. I use Wi-Fi hotspots because my 4G connection is slow & always has issues, and prevents me from using apps or multitasking on my Note 2.

Useless bloatware that doesn't work, it's only purpose is to make you angry. Why do you need an app to take 5x longer to connect to Wi-Fi (and it only works about .00001% of the time) when you can do it quicker and with less hassle? Just another app that US Cellular half assed. Wish I could uninstall.

Wi-Fi Now constantly shuts off when I'm at home sitting next to my wireless router. I have now come very close to going over my data this month because I've not been connected to my home internet. I delete this app, installed a different one for Wi-Fi and have had no problems. I'm pretty sure this is US Cellular's way of getting customers to go over their data plans.

Since it's been update it doesn't really work I'm maybe 5ft from my wifi router and all I ever get if failed for mwireless. Please fix this app so it works like before because it was great before the update. Why try to fix something when it isn't broke. when you do that you just break it

Since the latest few updates, I've had constant issues connecting to Wifi. Although my phone displays full wifi bars, i readily receive the message under my notifications bar that this app "failed for [wifi name]." It's beyond irritating to be disconnected seemingly at any moment, and then spontaneously re-connected X Minutes later. Fix, and easily a 5 star app.

Just got a Galaxy S7 and downloaded WIFI Now. When I tried to open it, I got a window that says my software is not compatable with the app, or either my phone is not recognized as a US Cellular phone. Both reasons are completely in your hands. What are you going to do to fix it. Awaiting your reply.

Worked ok when I first got my galaxy s4, then somewhere along the way an update changed that. Now barely works when out and about and not at all with my home wifi network. Complete fail! US Cellular retail rep said to delete the app as it has been nothing but problems with galaxy phones. When your own people call it garbage it might be time to do something about it.

When I walk down the street the app is constantly connecting and disconnecting from wifi as I go by. Same thing happens in the car when at a stop light app connects to wifi within range and then have to disconnect when the light turns green. This clogs up my phone and slows download browser and searching. There should be a 5 minute buy in. Where the app does not connect to a wifi source until it has been in range for 5 minutes. This will eliminate the frequent connects and disconnects.

This app does nothing but constantly turn off & on, preventing you from doing anything because if it shuts down halfway thru something, you have to back up & start all over again. I have turned this thing off, yet it still turns itself back on.
