Wi-Fi Talkie FREE

I have an android phone and an android tablet. Got this just to be able to quickly move text and files back and forth beween devices. Works great for that. Could have used a little documentation on how to move files. Took a while to figure it out. But it works very slick. Sending the file just queues it up until you go to the other device and go to "file transfers" from the drop down menu, select file and destination folder, and save. Would be nice if you could set up a default folder.

Absolutely love the app. We don't have internet where we live and this lets us share files and talk to each other when home but in different areas of the farm. The only things it needs is the notifications for photos and files to be inside the app instead of only in the notification bar. And if there was an easier way to know if a call was still connected if you leave the app. Otherwise we are very happy with the app. Giving 5 stars because I'm sure these minor issues can be corrected soon.

This app works well for what it's supposed to be doing. It is supposed to connect you to people on the same WiFi network. There were some trouble sometimes as we were in a rural area with a lot of trees using a hotspot connection, but it was overall a nice experience. And all that even tough the app told us that the android version is a bit too new and that there might be problems.

One of the best offline calling app for Android which works on WiFi hotspot too, without internet. Have good voice clarity and latency maintenance. It also supports chats and sending files, but with some additional steps. Call ringing is definitely useful. But it would have been much better, if it supported auto call resuming after a connection break.

Very Extraordinary app.I really like it. But one thing I noticed It's working range should be increased.It usually work in about 20 meters but this distance is too much less. Another thing is that it's file transferer should be improved, it is very slow!!! Thirdly, the feature of audio messages should also be included in this app. Plz improve these things in the next update!!! Then it's a five star app ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

The app worked really well to connect my phone to my wife's phone using local wi-fi hotspot on the bike trail. It's easy to communicate with the full duplex VOX mode which is like talking on the phone without having to push-to-talk. I don't have to be concerned about cell connection by setting up a local wi-fi network for the 2nd phone to connect to. The only problem I had was really with the wi-fi hotspot. If the other phone goes outside the range of the wi-fi hotpot, the connection gets broken and I have to initiate the call again. My setup: * Google Nexus 5 and Moto G (3rd Gen) * Bluetooth headsets with boom mics * Airplane mode with wi-fi hotspot

Great app! I wish it could use wifi direct. It doesn't. It would have been much simpler than waiting for your peers to connect to your hotspot. Its good that it uses internet for far distances but I wish messages sent to offline peers could get to them when they log on to the internet like all normal chat apps. And please make the UI colorful. It may be my favourite app.

App hasn't been updated for 4 years, and no user guide. Doesn't work on my home network (messages never go thru, not all devices even show up in the list) unless both sender and receiver have recently opened the app and done something on it.

Great app for intra network communication but there are few things missing. 1. There should be a group calling feature. 2. There should be a quick calling widget. 3. There should be a push-to-talk option apart from calling. 4. The UI is smooth but needs update. Looks quite outdated. 5. There should be a message/call history option. 6. No dark mode!

Excellent developer, easily the best LAN voice communication & file sharing app for Android. (Edit) 😡 Appears broken by (even more) nutty Android 11 changes; eg dropped calls, unanswerable calls and awful feedback screeching, hope the creator can fix things.

Brilliant, works, file transfer is super simple and clean, just needs access to sd card to be able to transfer files from and save to SD card not only internal memory and it will be perfect. Thanks Dev!

Must install app. It's all in one app because It provide free unlimited nearby (connected on one Wi-Fi) file sharing, Message conversation and even calling without having any SIM in the mobile. I never seen such free app in my life. I think developers will start charging money soon or they may delete this version so Guys download this app immediately. Now no need of other apps like Xender or Share It.

This is good I can used this app while playing music. Its better put some group voice chat and mic volume for people individual too much loud volume. For now we can use this for group voice chat but you need to call 2 or more every user. So can group voice chat. This is good for sena and cardo or other intercoms. Using over wifi no need internet connection as long LAN network. Better bring pocket wifi and all your friends connect or on your hotspot.

this app breaks the connection. it worked one time. and when I had 4 phones connected, it started showing network problems. I have a main router and a access point. this app shows everyone online but gives this error while trying to make call " network problem" any solution??

Good app. Exactly what i look for. Should be included into android core system as an emergency commuication alternative. But i really hope the developer to add another feature which is Sending Voice clip like whatsapp will be handy too. Thx for this app

MotoG6. Can't use Bluetooth headset. Can't connect with old HTC Wildfire, even though it installed there and all phones show up. It says "outgoing call declined" from HTC. No message from others but no call.

Not working on Android 10, I use 2 phone one us based on Android 7 and other one android 10 . On Android 7 phone has everything works great with all my network phone. But android 10 phone not working even i try another my friend phone, there mic not working i can hear properly but outgoing mic not working at all. Please resolve fast.

This works really good for people to communicate through the WiFi, however, they have to be on the same wifi. It does not work if you are on different WiFi or hotspot connections, even if you are sitting right next to the other person they will not show up in your contacts.

no Bluetooth. no option to switch to headset. Looks like you guys put more work into your eula nag screen than your actual software. The world already has one Microsoft. We don't need another.

At first i dont know how to connect my bluetooth device, but theres an option on the upper right side which enables it. This is a good talkie app. Works with hotspot.

AT LAST, one wifi phone that works. No complicated sip server to setup, no feature bloat. The fifth star is for when it includes autoanswer (elderly relatives) and contact homescreen shortcut

Suggestion for improvement: Chat message should not be sent when out of the WiFi/ hotspot range. This is misleading that the message is already sent to other parties but actually not. Thank you.

The aap is very good. I have some suggestions if u Please add them. 1. Auto answering i.e. The option for automatically answer, accept/connect call, even joining for group call, unattendantly. 2. To send audio message. Thaks a lot for your aap.

Kindly add the support for Bluetooth Headset and Earphones attached. This is the most important feature required, as it would remove the Bluetooth based Helmet Walkie Talkie.

Very useful app for moto communication in tandem with cheap bluetooth headset in helmets. I will buy this app in PRO/ads_free version, if "auto answer enable" function will be added. Thank you.

Worked the first time I used it, which was nice for a household chat system. But EVERY time I have tried to use it since, it reboots my phone (Moto G6). It still works on my wife & kid's phones & tablets, so I don't know if it hates my phone or Android 8 (they have 7) or the combo of both?

The app does not work when its minimized or the the screen is lock or off. You have to keep the app open and the screen on to work, otherwise it wont work.

dear dev, this works perfect when under the same access point of the lan network, but shos 'network problems' when other phone is in a different access point of the same lan network. what would be the possibile reasons? what layer of the network this app is working, any reason that the other access point blocks the udp broadcast

I love this app. But few things need to be added. Audio chat (not call). Then preview of file sent to the recipient. Live on the chat box, when picture is sent is should be displayed on the chat box
