Wicca Herbalism

A guide with all the herbs, descriptions and explanations of Wicca Herbalism

Catnip, Chamomile, Chives, Fennel, Feverfew, Hyssop, Lovage, Marjoram, Marshmallow, Onion, Oregano, Rue, Sage, Salad Burnet, Sorrel, Thyme, Winter Savory, Wormwood... and much more!

Over the centuries the healing properties of plants and herbs has not changed. What was a healing plant or herb five thousand years ago is still a healing plant or herb. Because great confidence was placed in them, Witches and physicians of the ancient world were expected to know their herbs. Plants gave healing powers to those who studied them, worked with them, and respected them. In many lands and in many times, healers spent a good part of their lives in the field and forest gathering green medicines. They remembered and scribed what they learned passing it on.

Today we have the opportunity to benefit from the accumulated herbal wisdom of the ages. This advantage allows us to peer back through history, harvesting for our own benefit only those herbs that have stood the test of time. But even the herbal uses that didn't pan out are fascinating. While the story of healing herbs has it's comic episodes, it is also a dramatic story of human sacrifice, complete with medical hero's, men and women whose work deserves to be recognized. Much of this credit in my opinion should go the the Witches of the past because they are the ones who essentially began the work of learning and understanding herbs and their benefits. However when the male physician arrived on the scene, they essentially benefited from the inquisitions and burnings claiming the right to and credit for this knowledge. The topic of how modern drug companies have distorted this knowledge for profit is an area I probably shouldn't delve into, but what the heck, the truth generally only hurts if it ought to...

The menu is visually appealing, the sections are not. It's simple layout has you scrolling to find any specific information you're seeking. There is no navigation or quick jump links. Appearance and content are amateurish. There are no photos or recipes. Most of the content is filler. I'm not sure this is useful to anyone when you can get more, accurate, and quicker information online. 2 stars because 1 wouldn't be fair, as it clearly has had some care put into it and there is some information.

I've only used this app for one day but noticed the scroll issue immediately. There is a WORKAROUND: When I use two fingers and scroll, instead of one, it does scroll the inner content. Using one finger scrolls the outer container where the back button and advert is. My three stars are because of the scroll issue and because the interface doesn't feel like it flows. This being an app for the mindful and spiritual, the interface shouldn't be such a pain. I'm on the lookout for something better.

With time, the makers can get this app to a better standing. Basic herbs included, none of what I'd use it for though. I don't mind the no search option and scrolling if there were more than just a handful listed.

My review has been removed twice now. Do not remove it again. The app is hard to use. There's no search function and you have to scroll to find information. Plus a third of the page is covered by the back button and logo. All other comments saying the same thing are being ignored and no improvements have been made. Really starting to dislike the developer at this point. One star because I'm highly disappointed with the repeated censorship of my review.

Looks really interesting however I cant scroll through any content on my phone. Attempting to scroll just drags the whole page up, doesn't scroll through the text so I cant get more than a paragraph through any section. Kind of frustrating and I would love to be able to access this info, so I'll keep the app for a while in the hope that you'll be able to fix it soon!

Absolutely despicable. You've been told by virtually EVERYONE, that has made a review of this app, of the particular issue that all have been having and what makes this app's UI so horrible, and for months, yet you do nothing to improve it at all. Fine, keep your app as worthless as possible then. Uninstalling this trash now, don't waste your time downloading, they're not spending their time to make the app worthwhile.

it's almost impossible to scroll in this app. I struggled to look up 3 herbs, took me 15 minutes with the ads scrolling up to the top of the page instead of the actual text box.

Initially visually appealing, but not so easy to use. One third of page is the back button and ads, three really should be a seach button as well. Uninstalling.

When these apps arent being messed with by religious folk they are positive life affirming apps. Having alot of trouble with religious tampering though. All the wicccan apps have been targeted in Mesquite TX

Good for a quick looking up of uses however I noticed that quite a bit of the text is ripped straight from the book "Witch" by Lisa Lister so I would actually recommend buying that book instead as it is far more useful and enlightening. In context too it isn't wholly appropriate to use the term "Wiccan" in the name as herbalism isn't solely reserved for that type of witch.

As someone who's new to herbalism, this app is very useful. I'm very grateful for it. The fact that it's also available in Korean is an added bonus for me since I'm learning Korean. The only way it could improve is if there were some basic instructions for some basic spells (sorry if that's not the right term), but it is still great nonetheless.

Great look. Good info. Need to be able to make font bigger. And it needs a glossary and index with links to the right plants. This apps takes too long to find the info your looking for. I might check out that book someone mentioned so its easier reference.

I am curious why there is a witch reference in a Herbalisim book. the cultivating section is most helpful.
