Wickr Me - Secure Messenger

I like the app quite a bit, but it's quite buggy. Messages, which were sent successfully, often get a "failed to send, tap to retry" message on them when the next message is sent. the Latest issue is that the app fails to notify me when I receive messages. This is the most frustrating bug because i miss messages too often. Looking into another solution

Overall the app is great. Since last update though I'm having issues with incoming calls not showing up. And having difficulties answering the calls that do. My phone rings that there is a call, but there is no option for me to answer the call once the "incoming call" screen fades out. After conversation, the call doesn't even show up in the app. Fix please!!! Missing tons of calls here!

**Have to say I liked it at first. I respect the privacy but this application needs to update bad. When I send photos sometimes I get stuck sending and it never sends. When this happens I can't receive or send any more messages until it decides to send. I do my business over encrypted apps under the table and because 1 single message has taken 3 days and still hasn't sent, I've lost over $3,000. I'm extremely pissed off about this because that was important, so until a new update I'm deleting.

Seems like a very good app, but I'm rating 3 star only as the message countdown timer should only be activated after the person reads the message, otherwise they never get it!!! Maybe 6 days if enough time for anybody to read a message, and the countdown could continue as normal in this area, but in the minutes, and seconds area of the countdown timer, it should only start it's count after the message has been opened to read or expire after a 24-48 hour period.🤷🏻‍♂️ Thanks for responding. 👍🏼

Used to work very well. Lately incoming messages have no notifications unless you open the app and then the messages comes in. Please solve this issue as am missing important and critical messages. Thank you

This app has quietly become better than almost all the other encrypted communication apps. They're the best American app in my opinion. They take care of everything that should be covered without any additional steps, but a few things that should NOT be automatic, they leave alone so you can make the choice. It's a good app.

2 stars because I never get notification,I have to open the app to check everytime,even with notifications enabled. App keeps calling one of my contacts to the point I can not stop it. It has been calling my contact for over 6 months non stop and no way to stop it. I will change my review to 5 stars if problems are fixed.

I remember when this app offered support. Email or chat, I can't remember which. Now there's no means to contact or get an answer from anyone, and the only help is an FAQ that is grossly insufficient. Furthermore, I havent gotten a message in over a month; I don't use it often, so why is it using more than half my data "syncing new messages? "

Messages take a while to send or load, (I'm on wifi) photos r hit or miss. Media sharing is a joke even w/ size below the 10mgb limit max. I tried the pro but how does that work to have your contacts as your employees??+ says not in your network. Its a gr8 app, came a long way but still has ways to go.

In the past screens shots were protected and now I noticed that's not true when I was telling a friend about this app. I was showing him how it notifies you when someone is trying to screen shot a conversation only to realize I actually could screenshot our conversation. What's the issue? I messed with the setting and still nothing.

Like many others have said, don't get notifications for messages 90% of the time. Very unhelpful and causes issues as your app only notifies me of messages when it feels like it. Surely can't be hard for you to fix such a well known issue.

Great privacy and there's voice notes, but sometimes the notification straight up stopped working and I don't know why.

Pathetic experience. Takes infinite time to upload and doesnt work even in good network areas. Better to use other apps.

I tried activating my phone to function with the app with the code I was sent and resent time over. Every time I typed in the code to connect, I just Kept getting the message: "an error has occured, please try later." This continued until I was automaticaly logged out and was no longer able to use the app. So I uninstall it!

The app is great, great for self-deleting/discreet messaging. The only issue that I currently have with it is that all media is limited to 10 mb. Anytime that I try to upload anything larger it says that it is restricted by the administrator. I have asked the person I'm talking to if they have restricted it and they say no, and I have tried making my own chat rooms and it does not allow me to modify that. It is disappointing. I wish there was a way to change that.

I can't send any stored pictures. It was working fine a few days ago. Pictures sent from the camera deliver fine. I have a Nord N50

'Network issue occurred - try again later' is all I see when I try to sign in every time, I have Android 10 and a good internet connection. I tried clearing the cache and did everything the wickr site could tell me but nothing worked. I also couldn't find a contact in the global contacts. I tried with other accounts and I could find them but not the one I need to find. This app became worse after it became a part of Amazon Web Services. It's unfortunate for this masterpiece to end up like this.

you are talking about security and Me version is missing a basic two step verification, it is available on pro version but still it is highly essential

Occasionally fails to notify me of messages, my only guarantee that I see all necessary messages in this app is by keeping it open to watch the messages. Otherwise it is true to its services offered and I think it's one of the nicer looking social media apps out there.

Can't log in. Endless loop of sign in, choose which phone number, then "your app has been suspended and you have been logged out".

Privacy concern is good . Need more development stickers can be added to make the chat more lively.

I can't find any of the people I search for's pages. Even when I have their exact profile names.

You can't delete people in bulk would rate this zero, reason being 1. Unable to delete chat in bulk, 2, unable to block or remove people in bulk, 3 green active feature in friends list would help instead of individually going to their bio thing to see if they are online

The best secure platform for messaging ever. Privacy is guaranteed by all the options available

It's a great app, but it seems to have a bug with Android. I should be able to reply to individual messages, just like in WhatsApp,, but no update has sorted that out, while my mate with an iPhone has had that for a long time. I can't see when they reply to a particularly message either, which is also quite annoying.

The persistent background connection feature in the new version is a very good thing! Wickr has been restored to be a great way of communication, like it used to be in the early days. I get notified promptly every time I receive a new message, even if the screen lock is on. So no need to keep this app on foreground and peek every other moment to see if a message that is important to receive has arrived yet or not :) Great improvement!
