It has a running process and uses memory even when not needed. Also there's a constant notification, even when off. For an app people would use occasionally, this is horrible user experience. Otherwise works as advertised. That isn't something I want from an app I use occasionally and I don't see why it is necessary. (reason for edit: removed speculation that it uses cpu – I haven't done any testing)
This hands down has been one of the best apps I found when it comes to being able to develop on the go I even tend to use it at my desk so I'm not having to scrounge around with have to get to usb cord and plug it all in to tweak any bugs found so much faster and easier than all other debugging tools that I have used this far I'm getting 3x as much done with this app. AWESOME JOB CANT WAIT TO SEE WHAT YOU COME UP WITH NEXT. This app could be better if it can function properly with wireless tethering/portable hotspot to connect to the computer. For now, it just won't function and complain about the device is not connected to local network even when my device is providing a local network access via portable hotspot. ADB should work without any problem when accessed via portable hotspot connection and I can make it function properly if I set it up manually via terminal.
:( can't t stop the app. app is always in memory... Force stop don't help... UP: I use the app a few times in year... I don't want the app to be runed all the time in memory... The possibility of app to reopen port on reconnecting to WiFi is realy greate... but only if switch is ON... When switch is OFF and app is closed I expected full exit from app (no process in memory)... Now I must uninstall the and to install it when will need. PS: Thenks you for great app...
Best app ever! My tablet has an issue where the micro usb port is extremely buggy, which makes it very hard to use adb and develop apps. This app works flawlessly and I would recomend it to anyone who is looking for a way to use adb debuging over wifi.
This new update keeps the app notification always showing, even when not needed, you want me to turn off it myself? But it will still keep the app awake, and disabling the whole notification means no notification even when connected, anyways I created one app for me, similar to the last update 😁, Thank you
It works well but it has a permanently running service that never turns off, even when you're not using it. It effectively is always consuming memory when installed. The devs should disable the service when it's not in use.
i have 2 Bugs to Report, 1. we have to manually start the app if the battery dies when the app is active, this is ok if you power it down / restart the device. 2. also the auto enable on known Wifi not working
I'm running LineageOS and magisk. The app works for me but I have to explicitly run it after a reboot. Is there any way it can run and enable adb over network at boot time without my intervention please?
My main use of this app is scrcpy. And it works wonders. I have a rooted S8+ (Exynos) using custom ROM. No problem so far. The app works as inteded, incisive features and does what is promised.
Please give the option to disable the application when it's turned off. There's no reason for it to be running in the background if the service is off to begin with. I have to go in and force kill it every time to get rid of the notification.
Works great and exactly how expected with root. Able to communicate easily with development computer running Android Studio (with plugin) on my network.
I was able to use this app in non rooted devices very efficiently , and then suddenly it stops and says that this app require rooted permission. I have no idea whats going on this app.
Very good app. Makes Android app development very convenient. I can run apps without connecting via USB. Works great even on Android 11
Has High battery usage when not in use. Otherwise, it's a great app. You NEED ROOT when using this app. If you aren't rooted it won't work.
Helped me a lot, was looking for some time. Also donated a very tiny amount, so if you think it really helps you please support our fellow developer.
Great expectations I put on new apps that I install and this one hasn't let me down one bit " BIG THUMBS UP" I wish that half of the 3700 plus apps Ive downloaded and tried and kicked the tires on would have even carried a spare tire for this one...... This is 5he whole reason I felt compelled to start writing reviews try to give back to the people that spend there time making us products we can use then, save 5he time of others like myself that have downloaded thousands of apps 🙏
The quick settings WiFi ADB toggle should require unlocking the device before turning WiFi ADB on/off. Right now, you can toggle it without unlocking the device which poses a minuscule security risk.
Does the job where my phone manufacturer does not. No thanks to OnePlus for hiding adb wifi debugging from the developer settings, big thanks to this app for giving me back the functionality!
Just installed it but it won't turn on. Instead it throws up an error saying this app requires rooted device and superuser permissions.
Great App. Does exactly what it says. Makes debugging and deployment for mobile VR a breeze. (Pixel 2 Rooted)
Great app; 4 stars because there's no exit button. I have to force stop the app everytime I've finished using it. I'd have contributed if it was Open Source
It was very useful for me. I lost my usb slot so I used it to debug apps for a good while. Thank you.
Well, it just works! Great for debugging my apps when the USB cable is too wobbly.
I apologize, you have to initiate the command from adb (NOT cmd). Works like a charm, sorry was just frustrated that it "didn't work", please be more specific, users are idiots.
Great app. Works exactly as it says. I'm never going back to usb debugging again.
I love this.It works great no problems at all. It's a very good app, some apps are not good at all. This is it right here, thank you so much for making it and the others as well.
Well honestly I have no idea how this app works. Really wish sum 1 would please text me and explain it to me. There is a lot been happening with my phone I don't quite understand
WiFi adb is now in the habit of notifying when NOT in use. I may have to uninstall it when not in use as I require a notification when it is actually in use.
After update, the notification is displayed even when inactive. I know it can be disabled via global OS settings, but that is just an annoying workaround. When you migrate Android apps after a backup or anything similar, you lose OS settings. There's no way to backup this configuration! I'll probably have to look for an older apk backup. //EDIT: Well do you know any way how one can bulk backup those global settings, if you consider it to be a correct way? Google usually makes bad decisions there
