For the year 2013 its good. But it's now 2020. Would be understandable if this was just in its beginnings. Yet there isn't anything per say wrong with it. It is very light on storage & if I was to create an app I sure wouldn't mind keeping it going on Google Play store even if its outdated.
UPDATE: Fixed 3-29-19.....The app itself works OK, does what it is supposed to. Unfortunately, the ads cover the channel numbers in the bottom of the graph & never go away! I understand the need for ads, but don't block a critical part of the app!
Heatmap is the big draw here. Camera icon does nothing. you are not even able to set the camera manually. Edit based on dev reply: I would like to see the camera app functional, especially with the button there. the app is otherwise excellent. I've bumped my rating up, to be fair and honest with this dev. I'll go up more with the camera. wink wink, nudge nudge
Good but heatmap doesn't work. The app doesn't request camera and storage permissions, which are required for heatmap to work by what I could figure out. The contrast in overview section's graph could be improved to make them easier to read when using low brightness setting.
This app helped me to find a clearer channel for my WiFi and solved my interference issues. The graphics are top of the line and made my job much easier. It even graphically showed me a clearer channel suggestion and this proved to work, verified by my much improved performance of my WiFi now. I highly recommend this app for analysis of your system too. Good job!!!
Unable to use the heat map. I took the time to hand draw a floorplan for my house and the app will not take a picture of it, nor import one?!?! App is still in development, definitely not worth paying for the Pro version, yet...
Clear and user friendly UI that gives very useful information. The information could be updated faster when moving from one AP to another, but it doesn't affect the overall effectiveness of the app.
Very useful for choosing Wifi channel designations in an apartment complex with LOTS of cross-channel RF noise. Helps to find best clear channels available for setting up Wifi links and Wifi devices. Several screens show all relevant data needed in configuring custom Wifi network settings. Highly recommend!
So far it has been a pretty good experience, would like to see more features and a better data. Had an issue with an overlapping stream/signal that I could not figure out.
this app works but doesn't make it easy to save any maps you create. ended up just taking a screenshot of the map. save function only allows to share.
For SOME reason this takes FOREVER to scan the wifi now. NOTHING has changed here. I will PAY for THIS apk IF you fix that please. Am going through the "wifi analyzer" deals. Yours IS good. But that fall asleep waiting to finish initial "scan"...
Excellent for tuning SoHO WiFi for best performance. Automatic channel selection is not great when there are many signals in an Area. WiFI Analyzer allows intelligent selection.
Decided to uninstall, the heat map camera icon doesn't work at all after several reinstallation and reboot, also wasted valuable time searching and preparing my house plan. Further searching the help section is also useless without proper context.
Excellent app. Shows me exactly what I needed to see allowing me to reset my router to a less congested channel. Works much better now. Thanks very much
Works as promised. No ads, at the time of this writing. Its how i like my apps, unobtrusive, ad free and effective.
Seems to work I'm not techie enough to know a good app from a bad one when it comes to analyzing my local cloud of competing Wifi signals, but this one seems to work and is easy to use.
overall a good app with the exception of the ads constantly blocking the bottom the app. the ads need to be in a dedicated space, not an overlay.
Was having problems getting a EAP to function right due to other devices and the channels they were using kept dropping the internet. Wifi Analyzer showed me what Channels and Frequencies were being used so I could configure the EAP to work
excellent product for the price (free), does everything i want except floor plan. I liked it mso much I bought the ad free version, I figure the developer should be rewarded.
Great source of data. However "wifi connection manager" allows you to select and connect strongest signal. Wifi analyzer used to do the same. Android 10 Q
Never realized how many networks were around my home. This is a very useful app to surf where it is less crowded. Thanks! :-)
Gives an excellent indication of signal level of your and neighbours wireless routers, very useful to see if there is any co or adjacent channel interference.
Mainly using it to assess Wi-Fi signal interference around me and see what channel might be better - so far it's worked pretty well. I'm not sure why they removed the channel recommendation for existing AP? 99% of the time I'm looking at my existing router. Would be nice if you could save a record of some current data points for comparison purposes next time you scan.
