Needs work but manageable. Even on my Samsung Galaxy View2, I saw something very embarrassing, but at least I now know why I always have ear problems to include Tinnitus. You have to move really slowly or you'll go right by what you're trying to see. I'm still getting used to it. It takes a steady hand while using this.
Doesn't work on Samsung S9. Connects then locks up within a few seconds. Any attempt to change camera resolution stops video feed and you must restart the app - which doesn't remember the resolution change.
Can't get it to connect to the phone nor my home WiFi,, keeps taking phone to wifi networks. Tried the carrier wifi also and nothing. why ? Add device to my wifi the qr code is invalid format. App has all permissions, will update. What am I missing or am I missing something? Trying laptop next but not expecting good results
At first Wifi check connected without internet. Fixed that by turning modem off for a while. Now this app keeps starting and after about a second stops. Android version 5.02. (Tablet) Tried on both smartphone and tablet. IT DON'T WORK MATE!
Getting only a black screen on my galaxy a51 android version 11. No matter what I try after following instructions it won't work. Verified the cam with a cable direct to phone and other software so I know it works. Phone sees the wifi after selecting it in settings and connecting to it. After that, only black screen. Won't work via wifi on PC and on my wife's I phone. How do I get it to work?
It works. You need to connect to the camera's own wifi network via your phone wifi settings, not the settings in the app - this may confuse some people!
Seems ok although could do with a better camera interface and has some connetion issues. Definitely needs a better App name like the Borescope App as WiFi Check is totally unrelated then it might get 5 stars !
On my iPhone this is not great. However on my Samsung tablet this works a treat, in fact I was able to put my tablet 3m away from the wifi sender moved the scope around the picture remained very stable.
As others have found this app crashes immediately on opening. Thanks to Paul Smith for his review and work around, whereby downloading the WiFi Camera HD app from the same developer, the camera works! And is surprisingly good for the price paid.
Used to work great with my Sony Xperia. I switched to Samsung months back and haven't got this working with my endoscope since. I was hoping a patch or something might come along but I give up. Very disappointing.
This seems a typical app which doesn't work on android. I now have two tools which are wifi and connect to my Android device, but the app to work them doesn't work. "Why"!!!
Rudimentary but works. Worked okay on my galaxy note 20 ultra 5g running android 11 and on my Xperia X-compact running android 8. Oded video and pictures okay however some gain and contrast adjustment would be useful.
I have an oppo fs1 phone running Android 5.1, unfortunately this app (wifi check) just won't stay open not even for a second so what I ended up doing is downloading the Joy Honest (wifi camera hd) app, the endoscope works for me on the wifi camera hd app if I first enable wifi check in my phone wifi settings, it's a bit round about but at least the camera works now 😊
Wi-fi check just doesn't work on Android. Installed the WiFi camera HD app instead and the endoscope works. Don't forget to manually set your WiFi to look at the camera.
Tried using this recommend app with a Draper WiFi endoscope. Rubbish - just kept shutting down on both a Moto e4 and Moto e6. Most I got was about 1 second of video before it stopped working.
Cant see anything....i have another endescope but 1.5m with app HD SEE and work perfect...this is not working...it connect but cant see anything..on 2 PHONES!!! poco f1 and Galaxy note 8...
WHAT BUGS??? Yes, there were bugs and, yes, it is frustrating to use. The What's New section is for you to state what's new. I'm not updating until you have the courtesy to state what you've changed.
Everything works as it should. Set up was easy, but I'm concerned about the privacy of the network you must connect to in order to see the image. Is there a way to add a network password?
Getting it to link up with my Samsung is a nightmare! You end up spending 10-20 minutes turning it off and on until by miracle of god it decides to work. PAINFUL!
It is very basic, but has the features I need. The camera I got for this was insanely cheap so I have no complaints.
Useless on Android - would have been zero stars, but couldn't post with zero. App worked on iphone, but no picture on ANY Android device.
App used to work great but now crashes when I try to use it. Tried reinstalling but still doesn't work.
Rubbish ap, does not work. Using a galaxy J5 and it just crashes before you can connect the camera.
Will not display on Samsung S20. OK on matchbook with QuickTime.
won't connect endoscope to phone. No settings or options to choose from. Totally useless app.
Just crashes Used to work just fine. Now just crashes on opening making it useless.
Very clear video and light adjustment but doesn't weave down kitchen sink with trap
Worked first time with Draper endoscope paired by WiFi to Galaxy S7. Very pleased.
What an incredible little device. Worked the first with my Android phone. Plug the WiFi unit into a charger and press the big silver button to start it. Open the app and select the WiFi network. The live video should appear on your phone. The only improvement I would ask for is an exit or switch off button within the app.
