WiFi File Transfer - IPMsg
- IP Messenger ( IPMSG ) is an app which can share messages/files/folders to other IPMSG devices(computers/tablets/smart phones) on the same local(WiFi) network. You no longer need Wires to transfer your music or videos across your devices.

FEATURES

NOTE
• In order to use this app, your phone and other IP Message devices(Phones,Computers or tablets) need to be on the same local area (or wlan) network.
• IPMSG uses port 2425 for TCP and UDP Communication. If this port is already in use by some other application, then IPMSG would fail.
• Make sure that you have read the IPMSG tutorial(http://coderplus.com/2012/12/ipmsg-for-android/) before you report any issues.
****Important****If you get Save Failed error, check if the sender's Firewall is blocking the TCP connection.

Doesn't work after updating.. Update as soon as possible. Doesn't receive or send file

small, simple, but failed to save at sdcard.
Not working on Oreo. Otherwise this application is very useful

Not working properly
This app is what I have been looking for. Simple and small. Today I came across a limitation in the app. Android 5.1 does not grant write access on sd card unless the app asks for it and the user confirms. But while trying to save the received file to sd card, ipmsg doesn't ask for access and simply fails the write operation. So there is no way of saving the file directly to the card. Please fix.
This app is broken. I can't see the users connected to the network after minimising the application and switching it back again.
U can't cancel receiving of a file from within the application.. U hv to close the app itself for tat.. Secondly d transfer speed is not even close to wat d original app did on pc and in lan settings. The protocols used r not promising. Ftp would hv been better
I tried fee clients for IPmsg and didn't like them. This one is quite smooth. And properly built. Good work..

I like the app so much that I can't explain.I was using it on my PC for years.Now searching the same for my iPhone ,so that I will have in one LAN
Poor, it only shows the ip of the device itself, no other connected client were showed.
Love the clean and simple UI. Very functional and an effective anti dote to bloatware like whatsapp and other messengers. A n update with manageable chat history would be most welcome. Thanks to the developer.
i was finding this app for a years .. a good file transfer but there is no Ip messenger app which is work in condition . i found Feem which was cool but this app is really damn cool You guys are rocking \m/
Appreciate the developer... Anyway can you set this up and connext to other lan messeger seem that it only connext to ipmessenger... If you can manage that then it will be good
I am using ip msg on my laptop from last 4 years. Ip msg for my phone its really cool. It really deserve 5 rating. Its too small. A suggestion please add some features like whatsup you guys can really beat such apps.
You should be able to see & reply to past messages (besides ignored notifications). Otherwise it works good.
Great App although, there is no options to cancel a receiving file. Hope you can add a cancel feature and I'll make it 5 stars ^^v
Tried sending a 60k file to another device, stopped at 71%. It's free, I appreciate the effort, but it didn't work for me.
The other ipmsg app gave transfer speed of 1.6Mbps and that too in internal storage and couldn't detect external memory. This app detected the external storage and gave 2.22 Mbps speed.
After few days wonderful work, now computer to mobile is not transferring file.
However I found one bug , file transfer fails when the screen gets locked
This app is amazing! Allows my children to play with private messaging without being exposed to the dangers of "social" apps. Love the ability to transfer files between tablets without attaching them to my PC.
Please clear me, when it uses wi fi hotspot, does it uses my internet to transfer files
Nice work. But still some network sync problem
It doesn't work sometimes. It can find itself only. Can not find my desktop. My wireless network is good. I don't know why.
No complains except app design. App feels too old. Need some material touch. Keep it up devs.
Not work for reciving msg for samsung phones. Devloper team should work on it. Kindly relove the bug and relese update. Or suggest any settings in phone.
