Wifi Hotspot (oneclick widget)

Great app - exactly what I was looking for. But it would be great if the color change (showing if the function is on or off) could be included in the free version. It takes a little while after touching the icon and before the corresponding text saying 'enabled' or 'disabled' is displayed. If you touch the icon several times you don't know if it's enabled or not in the end. That's annoying.

I wanted an app like this to make it quick and easy to toggle the hotspot, for my car unit to connect and disconnect when I get in and out of the car. It does that, so one touch turns it on and one touch turns it off. Unfortunately it turns the WiFi connection off when the hotspot is enabled but doesn't turn it on again. This means I have to go into the settings to turn it on again each time. Kind of defeats the object of the app, as it's main purpose is to reduce keystrokes!!!

Never heard of an app that kinda acts like a widget. Just press it and viola, it turns on and off with nothing opening, no pop ups, no adds, just a small notification on top of display, it doesn't even appear on recents apps. So really, just what I wanted, and easy way turn on/off hotstop with out going to settings. Great app that works like a widget toggle.

Amazing app! Does exactly what you want. No pop-up, no windows, no distractions. Just run the app and it toggles hotspot 👍🏻. Have it tied to Bixby button to make my life super easy 😬. Only annoyance is that apps you are in that support picture in picture get minimised when you run it, because it's technically running another app. But that is not this apps fault.

Simply perfect. Just a simple button, which is exactly what I wanted! I recently upgraded from a Galazy S5 to an S8 and really missed the easy access to turn on the hotspot. I turn on the hotspot every time I get in my car, and fumbling through the menus was terrible. This fixed it. Finally got around to donating tonight, and the widget changes colours exactly as advertised (and even if that didn't work it's still easily worth the donation!). Thank you!

Hotspot enabled on verizon unlimited data plan, set up all a go, works fine, runs all variety of devices, but there's no toggle or shortcut in samsung s7 for some inexplicable reason. Have to go into settings, etc., which is not convenient. Tried this app and put it on my homepage but when I click on it, it says hotspot is on, only it's not. Tried some troubleshooting, still nothing, so I uninstalled. Don't feel too bad, it's a fate shared with other toggles I've tried so far.

Mmmmmeh. I'm reviewing this for use on a Galaxy NOTE 9. In presentation this is a great idea but in application it is a FAIL. It gives a popup that declares "WIFI enabled" when pressed but NEVER turns it on or off. The widget never changes its appearance as shown in the photos either. This does nothing but take up real estate on my phone.

Unfortunately, I could not get this app to work on my Galaxy S7 Edge through Verizon. I contacted the developer and received a prompt reply. I was told that they could not replicate the error and provided me with an option to help by providing the ability to download another app in order to provide the log files of my phone. Although I would like to help, this was more work than I was willing to put into the app.

Update: Unfortunately this doesnt work with the latest Android version. I really liked the app. I really hope they update it. Prior to Android Pie: So far it works as described, just what I wanted for a simple way to toggle WiFi Hotspot on and off. I made a small donation and the icon changes color to indicate whether the hotspot is on or off, which is a nice addition to the functionality.

Easy to use and works well. The icon doesn't change colour on my phone though, and it asks for usage permission even when it is automatically switched on upon first use so you have to turn it off then on and close the app. It's ok afterwards. Could you pretty please make the icon change colour as it will help an elderly relative? 🙏

What a great app! No ads! Move it to your home screen and one touch to turn hotspot on or off rather than going into settings all the time. The new update allows the widget to turn green or red depending if it is activated or not (dependent on small donation and Android version I think) I am very happy to have supported this dev.

Does it exactly what it says, provides a button to turn your hotspot on and off. This saves me multiple clicks through menus to turn my hotspot on and off, which i do multiple times a day. Not sure where people got the idea that this app could magically bypass your data plan.

Works perfectly for my device(android KitKat) which does not provide easy access to hotspot,or feature of quick on/off by default.Thanks to this app I can quickly turn hotspot on and off with a single click.Ideal for users who tether their computer devices frequently, for internet.Only Improvement which is required is, the app shortcut gets deleted from the home screen automatically after I reboot my device(htc).

Worked perfectly (otherthan no status icon) until my phone (Samsung Note8) updated to Pie. When will Pie be officially supported? to Cajun: of course it runs off of your own hotspot/data! You want an App that somehow creates a Hotspot & using free data?!? Where's it going to get that from? This is a toggle/switch for devices that hide the hotspot feature deep within the phone's settings, like most Samsungs do & for users that want/need to toggle the feature on & off frequently.

This app does what it should. turns on and off the mobile hotspot. It shares your data plan woth other devices. For those that don't know, here is what it doesn't it do: -It doesn't share a WiFi connection. Why would you share a WiFi connection? Just join the WiFi. -It doesn't magically create data out of thin air. -It doesnt give you a unicorn that farts glitter

Does what it says. Would of been 5 star if the icon changed colour like the picture shown. But the app itself is good. Swaps between wifi and hotspot. Back to wifi. Perfectly good. Just not sure why they shown an icon updating depending on the mode. If it's not part of the app.

After trying to use the app now i cannot turn off the app and I cannot get my phone to stay connected to my home wifi. It says that it is disabled. I would not recommend this app to anyone. I have tried to de-install and my wifi still does not work correctly.

It works great. I use it this way: I simply add the shortcut to the home screen and click it whenever I went my hotspot on. This is a very nice tool, since my phone does not have the hotspot option for the quick settings panel.

It does what it's supposed to do. For phones with no hotspot switch on the pull down menu, this widget is priceless. No more the tedious task of accessing the phone's settings just to turn on/off the hotspot.

As a quick toggle for someone who constantly turns hotspot on and off, this is perfect. Bad ratings seem to be from people trying to use it with carriers that don't support hotspot.

It does not work on the Samsung Galaxy s8 (T-Mobile variant with hotspot already enabled/working). The icon when pressed says the hotspot is turned on but the hotspot is not. I still had to go into my settings to turn my WiFi hotspot on manually. But it seems like they tried to make it do that so I gave them some stars for effort.

Some of y'all really need to get a grip 😂. This app does exactly what it is intended to do and that's turn the hotspot on/off in your phone without having to go through settings upon settings. One damn button. Done well chief 👍👌 she sits right on my home screen

Tap mobile on NFC sticker in car for instant hotspot for passengers! Works flawlessly with nfc tools app. Not sure why it needs to access mobile data for itself though, works on latest Android with this turned off. No ads seen yet, Thanks developer.

The best care free widget for easy on and off switch of my phones wifi hotspot so I don't have to stop what i'm doin, go into the settings, turn on hotspots, then get back out! Plus Its Free + No ads too! What more could u ask for? Its perfect! Great work! And Thanks!

Works very easy. I love it. So simple one touch. Reliable on my Android. I can use four PC's no problem. I tried six other and this is the best. It is better than promised. Just one touch on or off.😄😄😄😄😄

A simple On/Off shortcut icon. My device didn't come with one native and to turn on off hotspot had to go deep into settings to get to it, this app solves that issue. Works perfect with my Solperfect tablet phone.

This app worked great on my old Galaxy S7. Just upgraded tok the S10 and it doesnt work anymore. I can only assume it just hasn't been updated for the lastest os update. Would love it if that happened.

Easy One touch on/off widget with wifi/Bluetooth toggle. Love it!!! I constantly use my laptop and connect to the internet using my smart phone. With is super convenient for me. Thanks DEV, Awesome job!!!! Samsung note 8

Does nothing on Nokia 8 with Android 9. No widget appears on widget list. Creating a shortcut to app also does nothing. Since it doesn't even allow access to its menu there is no way to set up or use it. Uninstalled.

I obviously have something wrong. When I tap the widget icon it doesn't toggle the hotspot on and off. It just tells me the opposite of whatever the hotspot status is. It doesn't seem to control it. Help?
