Wifi Inspector

A useful app and one that didn't want lots of unnecessary permissions I uninstalled Fing because of that). However,, as others have said -way too many adverts,. There are full screen ads, full screen noisy ads, and ads at the bottom of the screen over the button most of the time makes it next to useless. I know that's where the small ads usually appear, but then the app should be designed with that in mind. Apparently, there is a ad-free paid version and it seems that the author is trying to irritate people enough in the hope that they'll buy the ad-free version. It doesn't work this way for me. I, and no doubt others will be looking for a similar less intrusive app, which will means that the author then has no revenue at all, instead of what he would gain by a FEW properly placed ads. Seems a daft way of trying to get revenue to me!

I think it a lovely app, however the ads at the bottom of the screen ruin the experience. The ads cover the buttons at the bottom of the screen. This is highly frustrating, and is a cheap tactic to make people buy the paid version, which doesn't work according to the reviews. I looked at the last date either of these apps were updated. This version was updated 5/8/2016, the Pro version was updated 7/9/2015. I'm going to uninstall and find a newer app that doesn't show ads.

Really helpful but too much ads. That ads keep showing up on the click button and I've got no other option but to exit and then enter and then again have to cautiously wait to click before these ads showing up. I normally don't post any review but It is really irritating and I was fed up by this. Really appreciate if anyone could fix this.

It does work, but it's buggy. The ad at the bottom of the screen covers the button you need to click to scan for devices. Also, there doesn't seem to be a way to change *unrecognized* devices (marked with an X) to known. I typed in the name blank, but it doesn't save it or change it to a check mark.

SUX! Ads cover the controls, it disconnects the wifi and switches to mobile data makes it useless for scanning local network cause it scans the mobile network. It gets the Mac address of my phone wrong. Absolute waste of memory space because it DOESN'T WORK. Get FING, it works. Hasn't been updated since 2016.

I've had this app for so long over 5 years. I love that I can see who is connected to my wifi. You can easily add a recognized device by pressing the plus sign, giving it a name, and pressing "IS KNOWN". Although sometimes it's difficult since the button is blocked by an ad but you can close it and report it for blocking content.

Very Poor in being able to activate the list in this app for the ads that pop up over it's content. The ads cover over the button to display content and then I can't continue to activate it so how can one use it if you aren't able to for the ads popping up over the content. The app will also cut off the WiFi while doing it's scanning for some weird reason then I get no connection and then it keeps scanning until WiFi pops back on, but maybe that's how this inspector works.

So far it's good But I wish apps would not ask for a rating until a person had time to really check them out Again it is very good . Editing my review . The very reason I don't like reviewing apps when I first them. Nearly every one of them quit working right. Has it been a week I wrote the other review? What ever the date.I haven't had this app but a week or 10 days. And it ani't working right. I refresh it 3 times.keeps showing my t.v. is on. When it is not. Another edit ! Please quit asking.

This app works well and gives me a piece of mind that my network is secure. The only thing that prevents me from giving it a 5 star is the fact that even though the ads are small, they appear at the bottom of the screen and cover the tab you use to start your scan. There's just a sliver of the tab available to touch.

Pretty useless. Use to work great. Now ads cover the "Inspect Network" button. Can't get anything useful out of this app anymore. Too bad. used to be my go to app for finding out what's on a network. Maybe it's not compatible with Android on my Galaxy S10+.

adds are placed over the "inspect network" button which is why many people are questioning what the app does. it's because of this placement you can't activate the app to inspect your network therefore it no longer does anything. it's broken due to advertisements. damn shame, it used to be real useful and after 4yrs since I first posted this they still haven't fixed it.

Extremely intrusive ads, bottom ad banner covers the only button there is so the app is basically unusable, there's grammatical errors, the system doesn't even do extensive vendor detection based on MAC address. Useless, there's better free ones available.

Let me say that the application did tell me the Wi-Fi address of "my" phone. That being said that's all it did. My two other scanner's both had 6 connects on the 2.4 grid. Hopefully the application will get better. Untill then I'm outta here.

Used to be a good app...not anymore!!! MAJORLY DISRUPTIVE ADS!!! The frigging ad banner covers up the "Inspect Network" button. When you try to click the tiny bit that you can see, it takes you to that advertiser and you cannot even close the ad to exit!! Advertisement Jail!@$#

This app has not been updated for the latest Android OS. Previous review: Although the developer has tried to make the inspect/refresh button appear above the ads, sometimes the ads cover the button making it impossible to use - having to exit and start again.

What a crappy app! No way to access list of devices using wifi. Just have to get lucky and hope the list pops up. Would help if native English speaker did translation, too.

OLD, ABANDONED APP THAT DOESN'T WORK ANYMORE. Outdated, says it's made for an older version of Android and then just scans and says your device is the only one on the network when your connected with two more devices.....😑 BAD APP

I can't push the control button because the ad on the bottom covers it up! I have changed my text size to small which covers the rest of my phone, bit not here! how am I supposed to use this app when an ad is on top of the button I need to push to get it function?!

It is good except it should have a app or something else to stop the other object or a name because phone company want give it to you and you don't have a way to see what they are but I have 5 things and it says 10

The app has ads pop up right over the buttons to actually it. Trying to close the ads just leaves an empty space that still covers the buttons. Totally useless. Uninstalled

inspects wifi and shows devices. great BUT if not for ads idiotically placed at the bottom as overlay obsecuring action buttons. rendering the app useless. at least this happens on note8.

This app use to work very well but they changed the ad type or placement so now I can't get to the inspection button rendering the app useless. So I've moved to better app

I got a new phone. now the damn ad box blocks the function button on the bottom. If the ad box can't be moved i will find a different app.

This app seems to work except there are ads covering the bottom of the screen where you click if something is a known device so that needs to be fixed.

Very useful app. It also helped me and my family, as it identify IP and MAC of connected devices that does not belong to the list I made.

Great to scan your LAN and Wireless LAN and see if there are intruders. If you have DHCP on your router this will show your actual IP addresses. Very useful!

Works good. It just doesn't tell you what kind of device is connected. If it said phone, laptop or something saying what devices are connected it would be perfect for me.

this app was terrible. I couldn't see what else was beyond my own device beyond their ads and I was really counting on some help. disappointed. and this is the first bad review I've ever written about an app. bummer.

Because the ads cover the bottom, interaction button, it makes it difficult to use the application. I uninstalled.
