WiFi Map — Free Passwords

I tried some 8-10 wi-fi spots. either protected now, or password changed, or spot doesn't exist at all. none of them worked. one of them showed a message to retrieve password, funny graphics - looking like decrypting is happening - showed up, still no connection though. subscription is REQUIRED. you have 3 days to cancel if you don't like it - unless you forget... app was a total waste of time for me!

Horrible. This app is not for a newbie in electronics. The way they made it look it was so easy. NOT. Don't use this app if you do not understand the computer or electronic app world very well. I'm trying to canel my free trial subscription before it ends and I get charged. Can not even find that in the app or a phone number.

Have to buy full version to even see any hotspots. This is just to give you access to demo version if willing to do trial and take a chance on forgetting to cancel before charges come in. Hate this false advertising, acting like your getting a working product when just downloading a bloated advertisement.

Used this app for years, the changes made haven't been crazy off the wall, but more on the pleasant side.. Definitely recommend to all to build the network. You never know when you'll be the one @$$ out and needing a helping hand, with just a little bit of free WiFi

The idea behind the app is great: offer a Wi-Fi database that is entirely created and maintained by the users. However, this is also the weakest point of the app because people keep moving and/or changing their Wi-Fi passwords and routers. Those Wi-Fi spots that are public have a better chance of working, but with many of the others, especially home Wi-Fi spots it is pretty much hit and miss. Sometimes they work, but I also found quite a number of spots listed in the app that don’t even exist any more. So, three stars for a great idea and good app, but minus two because it often doesn’t contain correct information and there is no easy way to make corrections as an app user. E.g. as I was walking though town I made a note of all the Wi-Fi-s that have either incorrect passwords or are simply non-existent. When I got back home where I had connection to the internet again, I was unable to edit those spots in the app. There should be an easier way for users to simply delete Wi-Fi spots from the map it they don’t exist any longer.

Terrible! The worst app I've ever downloaded. It doesn't work when you tap on the screen half the time. It has nonstop ads and even after you go through an ad it takes you back to where you were before clicking to reveal the password so sometimes it's actually impossible to get to the password part of the screen. Even if you could get to reveal a password the newest update I've seen is from 3 years ago and so far I haven't found a single working password.

These are free community provided passwords that are available online and through other apps. However, if you use the free version by clicking the continue with free, you are able to see all of these points on the map without having to pay. Manu other apps insist you pay to view, this one does not. You may have to watch a video or two of you hop through many connections, but that's a small price to pay. Was 1 star rating, but now it's a 5 after I was cleared up on a few things! Thanks Devs!!

Most passwords are wrong, not WifiMap's fault, I know! But when I choose the 'Verified last 90 days' I expect them to be verified last 90 days, meaning someone used the password to access the hotspot last 90 days! But I suspect that's not the case. I've been using this app for months now and I swear to God, I haven't been able to connect to a single hotspot as all passwords are wrong, rendering this app useless. I think the devs should do more to filter out wrong passwords or at least give options to show only truly verified passwords on the map. You don't want to spend hours going from place to place testing your luck in finding a password that works.

Spam app. Not worth trying. It's full of multiple sequential pop-up ads which I'm pretty sure it's against the standards for the Play store. And then there's ads whenever you click on anything and some of them you can't skip. I did eventually find a few Wi-Fi passwords but they were old ones. Probably they just stole someone else's outdated data set from a long time ago and then covered it with spam to try to make money.

Found, I love that feeling from connectedness. Whether I know by the moment when I'm online ,or this spontaneous capability to browse new ideas instantly on the go!

Useless app. Had it on my phone for a year now and tried to use it loads of time's. Absolutely useless, unless you get all your neighbours around your area to give you their Wi-Fi passwords witch is very unlikely. Only good for Public Free WiFi witch is free anyways and very easy to ask for the Password. In an ideal world this would be great. But people don't want to give away things that they have to pay for monthly. Replying back to your comments. Like I said I had it on my phone for a year playing around with it. I know exactly how to use it!! The problem is The People will Not just hand over their Passwords! Otherwise No one would pay their Bill! Who would pay for the Free WiFi then if it was Free to Everyone? The Government would have to make a Mandatory Taxes for Everyone to enjoy Free Public WiFi all over Your Perfect World!!! Dick.

I did the upgrade for free trial and tried to disabled before they charge me but they took the money on my PayPal account anyway and wouldn't refund it... I'm very upset cuz the app doesn't do anything good for me whatsoever now I'm just out the money

Very good app, but i dont remember my country Kosovo being part of Serbia... last time i checked my country was/is a fully independent one with it's own flag 🇽🇰🇽🇰. Fix this asap and i'll change the rating to 5 stars

I haven't found one wifi spot yet that gave me access other than normal open access. Everything with password needed I've been unable to access. *Believe it, developer. The app has done nothing to help me, ever. I am never able to connect to any wifi spots users have entered information on. I tried 2 years ago, gave up and decided to try again recently. No luck. What's amazing is that the developer takes the time to leave patronizing responses but has never once actually tried to help me.

This app is terrible. It lags, crashes, and I can't even connect to the wifi.

Garbage. App is large compared to other "Free Wifi" apps and full of stuff you won't even use. Talk about crapware. On top of that, this isn't even the full version as indicated in the app itself! Why pay $ for this? You can't even be sure if the nearby wifi spots are accessible in the first place. I was thinking of just needing internet for a quick email check or a Google search. Sigh. Just get a data plan instead. It's better to have SURE internet anytime, anywhere. App uninstalled.

Originally a handy community-driven app, monetized via some non-intrusive ads you could remove through a small fee or by contributing. I was quite stunned to see this suddenly move to quite an aggressive pay-to-use *yearly subscription* model and hide the key feature - offline maps - behind this paywall. I don't know if the developers *really* expect people to purchase an annual subscription just for a handful of trips a year... Probably the beginning of an end of a (previously) okay product...

Not really useful. Most passwords simply do not work. At a cafe or a shop, or a hotel, you simply ask for the access details and they give it to you. Also its ads are really intrusive. I understand they try to make money through ads, but they are doing it the wrong way, especially since the content is community driven. A good but badly implemented idea.

The app is best so far so far so good it's doing great, but there's this wifi hotspot around my area I cannot connect. It's said I need help from the manger or employee to do so. Please can you help add a wifi hotspot to your community. How can I reach out to you guys. Thanks God bless you❤️☺️

Amazing! You'll never have to go around asking people for passwords for networks around you... And if/when you do, just share it here on this app for others to use. Simple.
