WiFi Monitor

WiFi Monitor is a powerful network monitor that helps you to watch the state of WiFi networks by gathering data about its parameters.
"Connection" tab displays information about connected WiFi network:
• network identifier and BSSID
• router manufacturer
• connection speed
• signal strength
• frequency and channel number
• security options
• MAC and IP address
• subnet mask, default gateway and DNS address.

"Networks" tab allows comparison of all available WiFi networks by the following parameters: network type, manufacturer, signal level, security protocol. Access points of the same network can be grouped together.

"Channels" tab displays network signals depending on its frequencies. The spectra of signals with similar frequencies can overlap and affect the quality of a WiFi connection.

"Strength" chart helps to compare signal levels of visible WiFi networks and check its change dynamics.

"Speed" chart displays the real amount of transmitted and received data.

Excellent app. Ads are small and at bottom of screen so it's unobtrusive. Lots of useful information about your Wi-Fi connection....managed to detect an unwanted leecher...lol...this app actually does more than the app provided by my ISP.

Great network analysis tool. There is a bug with the Pro version where view log files finds no app but strangely the non Pro version works fine.

Worked perfectly immediately after install. Does exactly what it says it will do. I've tried similar apps and they all worked from the get-go though this app is one of the easiest and clearest to use. I was expecting ads all over the screen based on the complaints I read but the only ads I found were across the bottom of the screen and I almost didn't notice them.

Very good so far. Can't turn on to keep app open. Would be great if could display frequency of connection in the slide down, so can tell without having to go into app. Edit: Still using it having moved to a new phone. To the problem if you don't want the app active, but change your mind later, there's no option in settings to turn it back on. Reinstall and select it to stay on is the best bet. Edit: Added a star, Dev added frequency used to drop down, so can easily tell which band connected to!

Works well. The chart update is kind of slow, so I usually restart the app every time I need fresh data if I survey interference around the house. Update: I was already thinking about paying for ad removal but the app started to perform not well. It says "no data available" most of the time instead of showing the chart, so mostly useless.

Automatically starts and cannot stop it. Good idea but need to be able to turn in and off. Who would need it on all time? Few people if any. Despite you saying turn it off as a reply to the above IT TURNS ITSELF BACK ON SHORTLY AFTER BEING TURNED OFF! if you do not know this then I would be very surprised as you wrote the code. Clearly there is a timer built in that turns it back on if its been turned off. As another reviewer says it drains battery that is why I want it off. The software is good and useful. But it needs to stay off when turned off. Happy to try update and test and report back.

Was quite neat to have, but since a update in recent times its power-consumption has spiked up apparently. Having caused notable slow-downs and causing the battery to drain rapidly if Wi-Fi is on and the phone to heat up while charging. So great to use for a short bit, but if you have it is running in the background prepare for a short battery life!

I haven't yet identified all of my devices listed in the scan mode but when the task is complete I expect to see unauthorized users. I need to learn how to do that and if it can be done within this app. When I identified my devices I forgot to use the proper icons that note the type of device and there seems to be no way to go back and do that, disappointing but not a deal breaker. I also need to know if unauthorized users can see my devices identifications.

Application ignore user search preference. Basically they know better than you. Almost useless application with tons of ads.

Just started using this app. It shows my router and two d-link 1320 extenders quite clearly. All three nodes are shown with the same SSID. The installer used the same crappy basement corner for the router and I received crappy speeds in office and bedroom. Luckily, the WPS works well and both 1320 units connected. This app PROVES that everything is working correctly.

Thanks a ton for this App. Few suggestions. There is a delay in showing the dBm( Decibels-Millimeters) section. It would be nice to know on which channel the Wifi is running. If the dynamic channel changes can be shown, that would be really helpful. If there is a chance, please do try to write additional code to stop and block piggybacking on the signal and also display overloading and the latency descriptions. Best wishes to the developer for the future endeavors.

Bad and slow Edit: as a young programmer, I appreciate your fast response. So: devices scan is slow (and sometimes don't find all devices connected), WiFi scan (channels and strength) is absolutely unusable cause high latency response (most of the time, it's shown only an orizontal line). Speaking about UI, it's easy but primitive and graphics isn't good at all. Network speed it's ok.

Very well displayed and lots of useful options and information. The the app is very good in my opinion. Unfortunately the 3 optional questions below have a scrolling or sizing issue, so you cannot access the buttons, in each of the 3 optional questions. Thanku

This free app works better (especially with virtual access points configurd on my Mikrotik routers) than the paid/premium WiFi Analyser app I used before.

Upon searching through this app and all its components, it's frightening to think that someone could find out all of my information just by my installation, information that no one else could ever access unless I gave it to them. This app has far too much access to my wifi and modem identities and for this reason alone I don't recommend it.

Very simple and powerful. I especially like kepping the app on top when i am driving with WiFi OFF, which i am forced to do to orevent constant interruption from drive-by hot spots. Then when i get somewhere with valid WiFi fir my phone (home, Peet's, etc.) I'll remember to turn WiFi back on.

Have great success with my Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 they are running Android 8 and 5 respectively. My Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 can't select the 5ghz or BOTH options. It runs Android 4.4.2. Otherwise, very helpful when looking to find openings for running a router as part of a live sound mixing setup.

This is a great app. Easy to use and accurate. I use a netgear extender and have 4 option for which frequency to connect to. I have mapped each room in my house and am able to optimize my reception depending on where I am at.
