It's a great app that logs me into my school's WiFi with no problems most of the time. There's the occasion where it doesn't log me in (even if I block it from battery optimisations) but I just launch the app and it logs me in quickly. The UI is pretty dated aswell and it would be nice for a material refresh. However, this app does save quite a bit of time in automating login for WiFi and well worth the small price.
It's amazing to me that this is the best app available for auto connect. I've had all sorts of problems, failure to connect, blacklisting due to multiple wrong password attempts. The interface is horrible. Still waiting for something better..
I have recorded a script but the script still not working. In the wifi login page, the form has two separate submit buttons, the script needs to fill the bottom one but it doesn't. I manually edited the script with proper "id" fields, but it still doesn't execute the script properly. More importantly, the app is not opened automatically when I join the network. I sent a support email, but got no replies. I cannot get a refund because I was able to test it 2 hours later after I purchased...
This app is real life saver. Once set - I can just walk down the path and stay connected - all done by automagic! Was looking high and low and found nothing that even close to this app. My only concern - if I am using VPN (and everyone should on public WiFi) - app fails to detect HotSpot (Captive Portal). Wonder if that can be fixed, since phone itself somehow detects that (with VPN on) and gives notification to login. None the less - 5 star app!
so i just don't understand this app. for many others it seems to work flawlessly, but i have used it on various devices on multiple carriers over a few years and it never works reliably. also, usage is unclear. is it supposed to work 100% automatically? do i need to configure for each network? if yes, do i configure before/after/while it connects to network? i am so frustrated with this app. great idea but poor execution
Best app I've ever d/l. It's def worth $4.00 perfect for places w a web portal wifi login. Auto connects to wifi. In theory I should be able to connect an echo and use the Echo as a training aide/customer taking an order at the place I work. The price of this app I'm actually saving a lot of money. Very underrated app and much appreciated!!!
Works as intended up to Android 11. Not tested with 12 yet. UI feels out of date, not using the latest theme. If the app is not running, check battery optimizations from vendor or run manually.
This app was my first Android app purchase (worth every penny) and was part of the reason for me ditching apple. Works seamlessly behind the scenes to keep me online with all the guest/captive portals I deal with daily (several). When Android 10 caused an issue the dev got back to me quickly with a beta version that fixed the issue - couldn't be happier! Thank you!
98% of the time logs me in to public and work wifi, even timed connections, requiring to accept the terms every hour or so. Automatically connects me to these captive portal store's guest wifi and I dont have to scroll down and hit accept every time or do anything. If and if it does fail because of weak signal or app is "sleeping" just open the app and close it. Very handy tool. More people should know about this who use alot of public or guest wifi. iPhone users be jealous:)
If I don’t sign into my school internet within 30 seconds I have to restart the whole process. I have to re-log in every hour and a half. It is incredibly frustrating. This app keeps me on WiFi and saves me so much battery (the hurricane shelter construction of my university kills cell signal and therefore battery.) Words cannot express the dopamine hit I get from seeing the notification that this app has logged me in automatically. Quite possibly the best $3 I have ever spent.
This app has grown on me. First I saw that generally it doesn't log me in automatically, and I was disappointed. Then I saw that on many access points, once I reconnect when Android tells me login is needed, it does log me in automatically. I also get a browser tab to log in manually, but I can simply close that tab. Then I saw it was easy to teach the app how to log in where it's automatic process doesn't work.
As a privacy conscious person, I like that the permissions are all explained on the website. Open source alternatives haven't been updated in years so this is the only working app. You have to give it background permission on some devices.
Update 11/8/19. Developer did a mass reply to emails (first message was sent 9/27 and reply was 11/3) and provided the apk file to try out and everything appears to be working again! Hopefully tested enough to be pushed through as an official update. You will have to email support and patiently wait for reply to get it fixed. --- Original post: Hate giving a 1 star but tried reaching out to developer for the Android 10 fix and haven't heard anything in week. Hoping this message will be seen and will update accordingly. This was a paid app so I really would like it to work. Currently completely broken.
Great app, works perfectly and a responsive Developer. I contacted the Developer about an Android 10 issue (related to the new Privacy Settings in Android 10), they responded quickly and sent a preview of an updated version, which works great.
Works great if you turn off "Auto switch to mobile data" in your phone's Wifi preferences. Otherwise it won't capture the web portal if you have data available. This is likely the Android 10 issue many are running into.
This is great for WiFi networks that require login every time you connect. This app automatically does it for you. If the login web page is complicated, just do it manually once and the app will remember for next time.
maybe good in some places but doesnt work at all in japan where it is necessary to click checkboxes and I agree before entering credentials I the login pages here are super annoying and I hoped this app would help. Unfortunately it seems to do nothing. I wish I could get my money back
A little clunky in the UI, but it does the job, and so well that I can say it's saved me an incalculable amount of time, no more wasting time fiddling with pointless wifi authorizations.
Used to work fine but broke after upgrade to Android 10. Emailed support, no reply after more than 2 weeks. UPDATE: Nov 3 developer gave me version 14.6, which does work on Android 10. I hope it will be released to all soon.
Works great since the update. Still wish there was an option for when the Wi-Fi times out. I have to reboot my wifi when it times out, but the app reconnects right away.
1/2019: App works like magic. Does what it says, saves me from having to login to wifi. Worth the cost. 2/2020: I reaffirm rating. Ryan, the developer, created this app for his own needs, then was nice enough to share it. I had an android - version problem just now. He sent me a new app version to test and it works great! Remember, this is something he does in his spare time to help us all out because he's that kind of thoughtful guy. Be nice to him.
Emailed the dev for support after the Android 10 update cause the app to stop working. He responded by sending me a pre-release version to test, which worked excellently. Thanks for your work on this.
Works almost never lately. Sometimes it works right away when i open the app, but the entire point of the app is that it should happen automatically. Please fix it.
This is the only one it works after I had tried many different ones. success rate is > 80% in term of different types of captive portal. If the portal works, it will works 100%
fails horribly. Incredibly buggy. Core functionality like embedded browser seems broken. Developer never replied to repeated emails and ignores request for refund. Problem can be solved with an 8 line of code script on a desktop.
Used to work exceptionally well. Since the new system upgrade there have been issues but, the developer is good about getting back and helping troubleshoot.
I love this app. It does exactly what it's designed to do as long as your phone doesn't try to disconnect you automatically. It stopped working with the Android 10 update. It took a while to get back with me, but the developer sent an updated version that works perfectly again. In the meantime, you can try turning off mobile data, opening the app, which should then do the login, then tapping the "sign in to network" notification before turning mobile data back on. It's better than nothing.
