I'm using this android app over the years... It's awesome, thanks WifiDroid. But recently I bought a new device having Marshmallow ,now I'm having issues here. I can't read/write my external storage, as it's completely invisible. I have tried every possible steps, but failed. Please fix this issue and provide an update to solve this. Here I should mention that I'm using Google-Chrome browser to transfer files.
I used to like this app for moving things like music onto my Nexus 4. Since then, trying to use it on two newer devices - a FengXiang vKB0004k tablet on Android 5.12 and a Moto G4 Play on 6.0.1- attempting to move any files onto the device immediately and silently fails. No error that I could use to fix the problem. Nothing. Possibly relevant: both devices have MicroSD slots, but I don't have a functional SD card to put in them.
I like the app. It is a quick and easy way to transfer files between my HTC 10 and my Windows laptop. The only problem is that every once and awhile, it doesn't work. The browser window is different when opened and can't be manipulated. The next day it's fine. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Fast file transfer to/from phone. Only dislikes are 1) error says Firefox does not support downloading/uploading an entire folder, must download files not folders 2) downloading multiple files causes the app to 'zip' the multiple files as a single compressed zip file. This process changes the time stamps of the downloaded files. If you need accurate time stamps for legal or other purposes this feature screws with your files and potentially creates a problem for your legal proof. You'll need some other way to move your files without changing the time stamps. Aside from those two issues this app performs near perfectly. (the claimed Firefox folder 'issue' might not be this app's problem, if the error msg is being truthful about the blame).
the app does not have a tutorial. I have tried numerous times transferring a file from my PC to my phone. DOES NOT WORK.
Didn't actually work moto g5 plus. Can see files. Only allowed short cut to be copied to PC which is worthless. Download, copy nothing worked. Sorry
it allows me to transfer a 1Gb file in less than 10mins. EDIT: NOW IT WON'T LET ME WRITE ON MY SD CARD. FAIL
It's a great app. But the scroller needs to be fixed on page. It only displays 1 page which makes the display to slowdown. Hoping they'd make the app open source.
Works well, transferred files from tablet to PC. Detailed feedback already given directly through email correspondence with developer on minor issue.
Cannot enable hotspot, it failed. Transfer files through hotspot mode is the fastest way over wireless and this app failed. Useless. Fix it developer. I'm using Galaxy S7 running stock Android 6.0.1.

Excellent utility. For people who don't like to use cords too much to transfer files between their phones & PC
(1st)time i used this app it downloaded my files really fast. (2nd)time i kept getting an error message 😠
Runs non-stop, drains battery, moves pics to PC but then there is no way to download them
Easy to setup and use. Simple and user friendly layout that allows quick file transfers from phone to mac over wifi. Don't have to worry about compatibility with older computers as my MacBook is running 10.7.5.
Title says it. Fire it up. Use it. Move files, seeing both trees easily. Like working on one machine.
Rare that I write a review. This app is worth it though. Works flawlessly. You only have to install the app on your phone and you work from a your webbrowser after that. Rated 5 stars, a must have.
Works as advertised. Finally a reliable way to move things back and forth between Mac and Samsung Galaxy 6/7 phones.
Easy to use. Better than share it for PC. But can not send folder directly. Need to unzip after transfer. But good to use.
Amazing piece of software. Some improvements can be suggested: the can show the password under the URL on the screen. When setting a short password the just ignores it with no warning. Finally, browsers save the password when connected to the app (it must be revoked after stoping the server)
After trying many other apps this is the first I've found that does what I want first go without having to root my devices and mess around with settings.
I feel your app will grow after you update the UI to something more modern and sleeker. Functionality is great, good job guys.
The best application. I found it after installing and checking more than 9 applications from play store. It is full featured app without any full screen ad. It can play videos from my mobile to my PC browser.
Connects quick. 50x faster than Bluetooth. Loved it to transfer files via wifi
I am having issues on marshmallow. It looks like I can't see SDCard. IS there any particular option I need to setup,or the link to the sdcard has changed on MM? Thank you for your great APP!
WifiDroid-wifi File Transfer apk is a good program to transfer files from Samsung android phone to windows 7 OS laptop and served the purpose for which i was looking to transfer DCIM snaps, located in the Storage data card.
This app can turn your Android device into portable file server. Although there are many similar applications, but this one has some advantages over others, such as: 1. Absolutely Free: no feature limitations, no time limitations; 2. It can share file over your own portable hotspot instead of limited to using another Wi-Fi network, so no need for external router.
Awesome app! Easy way to transfer files. Wish list: restrict to folder & subfolders, restrict delete file/folder, & rename etc. Sometimes you want to share stuff with friends but not unrestricted.
Very good app. Helps me quickly transfer documents between devices. Ads aren't intrusive once you now how and when they pop up. Would rate it 5 stars if they allowed files to be uploaded to secondary micro sd (only uploads to internal memory). Edit: upload to device unable to support large files. Keeps on canceling mid upload
