The app finally works on my S7. Taken a while to get here, but whatever it was that finally got updated has done the trick. Upgraded from pointless, to 4 stars. Here's hoping it keeps working! Switch doesn't seem to drop from WiFi like it used to in the past either.
Without changing absolutely nothing, started throwing "An unknown error occured. Please try again later". I can't even delete the device and re-pair. Used it to remotely shut down 3D printer for safety but it is too unreliable.
I got these out of the garage after giving up in frustration last year. Amazingly it worked first time. That turned out to be the only time. Giving me time out error again on Android and iPhone despite their website reporting no problems. Shoddy.
moved to a pixel 3 and the app just doesnt work. was on a galaxy s8 previously where it was unreliable but at least opened - makes the product pretty useless! 3 months and no help.
Thankfully I got given it by work, although I think this might of been a sick trick now. After jumping through hoops to get device recognised by the Android app and Alexa it just sits there saying device offline! This is within two minutes of it finding the damn thing. Life's too short to bother with this piece of junk!
Once setup the app work but the timer interface is horrible. You can setup timers but the swipe to delete doesn't quite go far enough making it impossible to delete time actions once setup.
Tried several times to connect the WiFi plug and followed the step to step guide. It won't connect at all. I just give up now and uninstalling app. I had enough of it.
A complete and utter waste of time. Beats me how any developer could actually publish this garbage. Fails to find any devices. Save yourself time and don't bother. One star is too many, deserves to be zero.
If I could give it a minus I would. Tried various times over a 3 year period. 2 IT consultants couldnt get either the sockets or glass switch to work correctly. Bought at a Grand Designs show. Promises and guarantees mean nothing. The phrase Snake Oil salesmen come to mind.
latest update doesn't even start on Galax S7 or Note 9 hardware. worse still, feedback sent via multiple channels, no acknowledgement or response.
Couldn't get my Smart WiFi Plug to work with the app. The app won't find the plug despite following the guidance.
app wont open have deleted and reinstalled switch is listed as unavailable on ipad app tried to set it up again and ipad app crashes
latest version does not open. shows splashscreen for 2 seconds, then crashes.
Your app and device doesn't work, it never finds the device
have 4 plugs but the app keeps crashing, now it will not open at all, think i want my money back!!!
This app is so interesting. It is very easy and simple to use. You can easily control your devices using this mobile app.
Tried for hours to make this work with no luck, downloaded the Apple version for my iPad and it worked first time
Not working. fails to load properly, only giving the option to close the app
Won't open. Simply does not work, much like the plugs.
plug stopped working after a week, and then i cant log into app,
Notfit for purpose.Instructions fail to set up plug.Wasted 2hours of my life messing with this rubbish. Uninstalled the app
Was very happy until the update. Now app just crashes
Doesn't work, won't recognise the app . Totally useless
does not start anymore since the jan update an galaxy a8.
Found no issues with using the app, works well enough for me
Pants. Does not detect wifiplug glass light switch. Wasted ALL day on this stupid app and waste of money light switch
Rubbish, don't buy at Grand Designs show..
I've been fighting with my WifiPlug for 2yrs, trying to get it stable/reliable, but it's finally beaten me. The Android App is flakey, and doesn't start at all. The switch itself has had a mind of it's own turning on for random schedules at night (even when no schedule is saved on my account) and I have always been unable to turn off the annoying beep everytime the switch is pressed (or auto triggered), even though it is an option. I'm reverting back to a simle dual gang switch.
