What can I do with the app?
WikiFarms Australia makes it easy to find a farm. Simply use the map screen to see exactly where are located the farms. Then tap a site to bring up its description. It will show you the name of the company, type of crops, phone number, and, for some of them, website and email. You can then call the farmers directly from the app and ask them if they need workers. If you are ready to go, you can also start an itinerary from your current location and ask them in person!
The app also allows you to use filters. If you are looking to work in a specific area or to pick a specific type of fruit during a specific time, you can do that!
The app lists also tons of working hostels, tourism offices, working agencies that can give you more information or help to find a job in a specific area.
With the app you can also calculate your 88 days of farm work easily and see if you’re ready to apply for the Second (or Third soon!) Year Visa.
Who made WikiFarms Australia?
Fellow backpackers like you created WikiFarms Australia! When we were looking for farm work to get our Second Year Visa, we really struggled knowing where to look for farms! There was some information here and there but nothing really consistent. This is when we started to think about a tool that will have all the farmers at once and WikiFarms Australia started just like that J
Why is the app not free?
We are a very small team working on this project for more than 2 years! As a result, the profit of the app really helps us to make it better day after day. In addition, it also contributes to our travelling passion (which we are sure that if you are here you can relate!)
In addition, you certainly think that most apps are free, but are they really? Most of the time, free apps are full of unwanted and annoying ads and you often have to pay more to have the full use of it.
We made the choice to offer a complete, advertising-free experience for as low of a price as we could make it. Consider that half the price you pay for it goes to taxes and Google share.
The application helps you get what you need the most, find a farm job, and when you will get it, its price will be covered in less than half an hour of work!

This app is amazing! It helped me find my farm work in Australia for my 88days. It shows you all the farms in the area and gives contact phone numbers & emails for the farm. There's also a filter in the app to show which farms are in season. Google maps doesn't show a lot of farms so this app is a blessing, especially if you want to contact farms that no one else / less people had contacted and therefore you are more likely to get a job. I found my farm job with it!
Very useful app to get in contact with farmers. I found several jobs with it so I recommend it. You just need to be perseverant.
A lot of farms seem to not exist anymore but more importantly as of recently the map is no longer loading. The icons are there but the map isn't.
It wasn't useful, perhaps I'm in the wrong area at the wrong, but I'm pretty certain there's a lot of sugar cane produced in the Mackay area at least. Other websites have been more useful and free to use.
This app is really helpful and easy to use! You can contact the farm in just one click. It is really worth it to get. Find this more useful than any website for farm job.
I really recommend this app as I found my job 2 times using it. I contains many farms, even if some numbers are not up to date it's a very good help.
I bought this app in the internet because I couldn’t find in in the App Store. I paid more than 10$ and the app still don’t work on my iPhone!!! Please change this soon!!!!!
Waste of time and money, most of the numbers are not updated so you'll risk wasting a lot of money calling numbers that do not exist and lots of the numbers are not actual farms. Better use other way to find jobs
great app but i only have one thing id like to see changed, if when we zoom in could we have a distance scale showing up so we can judge distance

This application is an help to find some farm job around australia, you can use the map, the tool, etc. You can contact the farmer or go to the farm with the address. if you need to find a farm for your 88days, this is the application you need!
Actually worth investing in as I got my farming work through contacting on of the farms using this app.

You can call a lot of farms with this i think it can be very helpful
I bought this app. You check the map and then start calling numbers. You can make a note. But your can't see the note from the map screen. Would be very useful to be able to make a mark for each place in the map to see what places I already tried to call, where I need to call again, etc. Maybe to be able to set different colors for the outside circle or something. Now it's hard to remember what place in map I called and go there and back from the map screen to the notes screen.
This application is a lot better than any other free websites. It has a huge database of contacts. But I warn people who think they will have a job immediately. Its not a job agency, its not a magic app, and in my case I had to call many farms before to finally get a job. Plus, the graphics is a little poor and can be better. To summarize, I definitely recommend this app, even if it's not perfect, it's clearly the most advanced tool to use to find a farm work in Australia
It's a great app for everyone who is on search of farm work. Doesn't tell you is they are actively looking for workers but it gives you the contact so you just have to go and call and ask. Awesome help for all backpackers who are lost on finding a second year farm work
Great app that list plenty farms. Some contacts are not working but if you spend time on it you should find a job. I found my job with this tool so I recommend it. The interface is good but can be better
Good app to figure out where the farms are and what they are farming. Really helped us to locate the areas with the most farms, so it's easier to find a job. Great in detail with phone numbers etc.
It seems that the numbers of northern territory don't work quite well, kind of disconnect or something.
Its excellent apps.. highly recommended.. ill using this apps all my time while here in australia.. i hope other will be help too by this great apps..
This app is great, with a huge database. I found a job in a farm in less than 48h. You look the map and the find farms in the place you are interested in, then call. Easy to use, easy to find.
You can only use the map and see the farmers information when you're in wifi.... What a disappointment, I'm rarely in reception areas. Can't download the offline map or anything.
It is a very good idea! I love how easy it is to see what farms there is in the area you're interested in! A bit more information about the farms would be something to consider tho, and a rating of the farm. It's helpful when you're looking for work but it could be better :)

Please allow the calctool to be allow for modification after add the days. At the moment, only delete options after long press. The map is not updated, I am working in Mareeba and the road name is not even appear in your map. Please check.
