It's pretty lumpy in its performance. Great to know where and when people have reported seeing whales and the details of whale types and behaviour are easy to use but the app constantly loses its settings (regularly opens to Africa when I'm in Sydney) and won't appear on my homescreen.
A bit clunky and slow. Concept is great. Main problem is it only alerts you after 1hr since the sighting, not real time. So defeats the objective.
I've used this ap for years with no previous issues. now it keeps crashing. I've uninstalled and reinstalled and still nothing. please fix!!
App crashes immediately upon startup using Samsung S9. I note many other users with varying phone brands have reported this issue and no response from developer. Hello Developer are you out there?
There's only a 'yes' 'no' option for calf but I'm not sure. Perhaps a 'not sure' option could be added. Also, it works be good to be able to say how close or far they are.
Low usability, keeps crashing, their web page though hard to navigate towards, is much better

No longer available. This should be removed - what's the point in being able to download an app that then states the app is no longer operating.

I luv this app ..but i wish Queensland where i live in the Whitsundays had an app like this. i watch all the sightings up to the border. Then nothing!! come on queensland , where do the wales go after NSW.
Why can't this be used north of the QLD border, we get heaps of whale up here in Bundaberg this time of year. they don't stop at the border. PRETTY CRAPPY for such a good app.

The app takes you to Africa on startup not nsw. Good concept
Extremely limited as relies on gps location when reporting and some local place names are not accurate. Previous version meant you could pin location and add more accurate notes after you came in off the water. I have seen whales stationary for extended periods behaving unusually but locked in by format and have to indicate a direction of travel. Bring back the old app. or make this one more flexible.
