Downloaded this app to regulate my automatic watches. Unless you understand all the complex functions this app provides, you should read the tutorial so you can set it up for that exact purpose. Once the instructions were followed to the letter it worked perfectly for me. I've not tried (and do not understand) anything else, but for accurate setting of a mechanical watch it is spot on.

I'm always getting "The audio hardware doesn't support current audio sampling rate and sampling size!" error. But in the preferences menu it says your hardware supports current sampling rate. How can I fix this error Keith?

Impressive,as a test i used a Waltham 1857 i am working on with a weak hairspring.I knew from timing against a digital stopwatch it was dropping about 11 minutes a day, sure enough the app shows a loss of 11 mins 24 secs a day which is likely very accurate.Similarly i tested against an Elgin GM Wheeler i have just serviced and knew was very accurate and it shows +3 seconds a day.I will use this tool a lot,it works very well. Thanks for making it available!

Tutorial reads like Taiwanese stereo instructions - an unorganized collection of notes, sparse and terse. This guy has no Earthly idea how to write directions, thereby rendering a complex piece of software unusable and frustrating. I have no idea how to use this. Gave up & uninstalled it.

This app does only 10 seconds of spectogram and nothing else, not menu not buttons, nothing. Uninstalled after 3 minutes. Useless.

Thanks to the author I can fix the accuracy of my Hamilton mechanical watch , which is now at 15sec+, and it corresponds to my own measurements. It did take me a day to figure out how to make it read the watch's tiny audio signals, but finally did it, thank you for the app. The key to success is very very quiet room, I even went to my car to test. One suggestion is to make the key numbers bigger, need to use a magnifying glass. Also a button to make a save of the numbers.

Works as advertised. I'm impressed by the amount of work that obviously went into programming this, and grateful that the author chose to share. The author notes that the watch-regulating feature was an add-on- well, for an add-on it's pretty slick. The biggest limitation is the hardware, especially the phone mic. As others have noted, using this to regulate a watch requires a VERY quiet room. And if your stomach grumbles, or a dog down the street barks, you might as well start over. A pick-up mic is highly recommended.

I can see the ticks from my watch on the graph at the bottom of the page. Unfortunately, the app seems to not be able to resolve them well enough to get an accurate estimate of my Seiko 7S26. If I were able to view a few minutes with the 1 second scale I might be able to manually estimate the calibration, but I can only view 10 seconds. The accuracy problem may have more to do with the Samsung A tablet microphone then the app itself. Also, it was tricky switching between the tutorial and the settings pages. If it required fewer taps to switch between them, setting up the app would have been much easier.

I would like to have an option between 512 and 4096 bins. If they are available in pro version please add them grayed out.

The only working app that is free and gives nice result when you regulate a watch. Only you need a very quiet environment. Also I found a very useful YouTube video which gives the preference you need to do it. Nice app over all hope you continue to do a good work. Please make the s/d reading bigger its very hard reading it from distance trying to breath quietly.

Read the tutorial but all I can tell this is just an audio recorder.

This is one of those apps that does one job and does it good. I had no problem using the app. The dials, the threshold for the peak recognition - everything becomes clear after a few tries. Great product and a very intuitive frontend.

It's an amazing app and you have given us the opportunity to have fun with our time piece even further exploring the accuracy. As a small Time watch flipper this is great add on to show the watch works perfectly great

Regulated my Seiko which was running -10 secs per day. After using this app the watch is +1 secs per day. Highly recommended.

I like the app. I would have been clueless without the online video tutorial. I'm wondering what the advantage is in the Pro version over the Lite version?

Good software

Joh. S. Nov 16, 2014

Needs tinkering to set it up, but some work with the tutorial got it going for me and my Seiko's. Pick yourself up an external mic and go for it. Thanks Dev. Edit: Just went pro, worth the .99 to support this app. Also building a mic from dollar store parts. Don't blame the app if your mic is trash, the mic is the achilles heel and the dev isn't the one that made it.

Ok, I had a problem with my LG G4, couldn't access the menus, but posted that and Mr. Wiley responded back in a matter of minutes with the solution. Long press app button to get to the menu. I haven't tried using the app yet but want to just give credit to the developer responding so quickly with a solution. I will update my review once I play with the app abit.

I just finished repairing my great-grandfather's pocket watch and got it running (for the first time in decades, I'm sure). I was reading about regulating mechanical watches and ran across this app. I am very impressed and I appreciate all of your work. Please ignore the haters. You shouldn't comment on something you haven't taken the time (or haven't the mental capacity) to understand. Thanks again.

Will buy the pro after few more trial. My Galaxy S5 mic is hopeless in picking up sound with this apps. After experimenting with few handsfree kit, manage to find one that work. I put the watch and mic in a watch box to create that noise free environment and it give good result don't need to open the watch case. Will try again later with case open and phone mic. I recommend to use old watch box to get better acustic result. Thanks.. p/s I buy all good android apps that I use, this gonna be one of them.
