William UK English TTS Voice

Works, but this is William, not William-CereWave. There is a big difference. Not sure where to get William-CereWave, which sounds more natural. (Go to the cereproc website and put your own text example to see what I mean). Also, you might want to uninstall and reinstall google tts before the voice will work like it does in the app, but you might like it more as it is. Restart your phone for the voice to load into other apps and work properly.

For just 0,70€ it's definitely value for money. It sounds a little robot and pronounces some nouns as if they were verbs (e.g. "project") but overall a good quality voice. Much better than the built-in ones.

The app is great I have the voice reading books for me when I workingl. It is a not 100% like a real person but for a text to voice it is one of the best ones out there.

Ordinarily I'd give this 5 stars but for 1 thing. I forgot my Google password when my old phone started acting up. I bought a relative's when he upgraded but found my bkp of this voice wouldn't work on the 'new' phone. 20 yrs PC shareware exper didn't prepare me for that esp. as free but awful Glasgow voice works on all devices (which is why I felt fine purchasing William. I didn't know). So buyer beware! This is a sneaky practice which is so like way busn is going. No more paid apps 4me.

One of best voices on Android. After IVONA was discontinued on Android I tried several voices and TTS engines but only this voice matches the quality of the Amy voice of IVONA. I use the voice for listening to books.

The voice engine is poorly optimised and will remain in memory even when the app using it is closed. Even though the voice chosen is quite good, I cannot recommend this.

Not impressed. Pronunciation and intonation is bizarre, making listening uncomfortable. Loses consonants when played at higher speeds.

Unfortunately this doesn't work on device with custom rom. Settings keeps stopping and preferred voice engine has not been set. Had to refund.

compared to the old Ivona voices, this voice is simply monotone. I have yet to find one that matches the quality and expression.

will not install on huawei v8. tried everything. cleared cache and data in google play store. Refund not available... good voice in the demo though.

Beautiful voice! Does appropriate pauses. Speaks my medical student text (difficult words) perfectly. I'm very impressed!

Why has this app not been updated in a year? TTS has come a long way in the last year. This app is lacking quality compared to the market.

i like the sound williams voice. when i asind it to read haroy potr. It's better than a real human reading it. herd isabel was good to.

Great. But the word "cousin " is not read entirely . It seems it's been cut.

Nice! One thing makes me giving just 4 stars is can not spell abbreviations correctly. I wish there will be an update soon.
