Williamsport GMRS Repeater
General Mobile Radio Service

Currently a GMRS license is $85 for 5 years is obtained through the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and covers your entire family. Every 15 minutes and at the end of the conversation you or a member of your family is required to say your GMRS Callsign. Proper language is to be used.

The repeater owner is John
- WQGU515 and the repeater is located on Bald Eagle Mountain just south of Williamsport on Skyline Drive.

In order to use the repeater you will need a UHF radio capable of being programmed to the 462.675 MHZ on Receive and 467.675 for Transmit and a radio with a CTCSS tone (aka PL tone). Commercial Radios are the most likely radios for this like Motorola or Kenwood and even some are using Baofeng. They will need to be programmable radios either the case. View the coverage map on the website for approximate repeater coverage (which is where you should be able to communicate to and from.

For example, you could be sitting at home in Williamsport and talk to another that could be in Milton or Lewisburg or anywhere in the coverage of the repeater.

I'm not sure what this app is supposed to do. All it does is pull up a web page. Confused...

This is a great app to take with on road. You can still hear what's going on no matter where you are.
