I like the features of this game, including topic representation and fund spending, for a start. I find that it can sometimes not be challenging enough, however, I understand that it is for younger audiances, therefore I will not recommend a difficulty alternation. Though, a small suggestion from me is that you create a setting, which allows for the United States of America's 50 states to belong to their historical political sides. Other than that, I see no problems with this game.
Good game, educational, and pretty good graphics. The only thing is once you get the hang of it, your basically unbeatable. To make it more challenging I make it to where I cant flip states over 10 electoral votes. Also sometimes AI get too fixed on one state and spend like 4 weeks trying to get it when I clearly just keep negating there progress. My favorite election game, just would like it a little harder.
Very enjoyable, but short and little replayability. I wish there was a longer version and let you play into presidency. My only gripe is when you decide what options you pick to advertise your party, you get 3 choices and its so obvious which is the right one it feels a little like a tick box I love the gameplay ans the way they've design it, shame its not very long
Its a good game, but there's very little replayability, as once you win once, you don't have anything else to do. It would be nice if you could maybe plays a the president, or transfer your data to another game to continue your presidency, and also would be cool if you had risk moves that maybe would be improving your happiness but you are at risk of being revealed as fraud. Also, the AI is terrible. Sometimes I have seen it go to a state that is secure to campaign. Oh well, still a fun game
Good game, designed fine. Only problem is that the AI loves Alabama and Illinois for some reason? They campaign over and over again in those 2 states. Makes the game pretty easy because instead of challenging you in the states that are worth a lot of points, they let you have them in favor of those 2 states. Also, it's really easy to click the wrong state and end up fundraising or campaigning in a state you didn't mean to
417 high for electoral votes! It would be better if there were 15-20 weeks to battle. Also states like California and New York should always start blue, while Texas and Florida should always start red. Maybe add a false propaganda button for states where there is no option for positive or negative campaign options. Give a high risk high reward for false propaganda, it would make it more interesting. Still a great game though.
Fun, but too easy. I understand that the game is meant to teach K12 students, but certain things like answers to interview questions and being able to flip states like NY and TX without the AI even trying to defend them take a lot of realism away from the game. You guys could take a page from The Campaign Trail's book gameplay-wise, that game has more of what I would expect in a campaign simulation game whereas I love the customization of this one.
A very good experience, the game got considerably better since the new update. However, i do have one complaint, the only one since i first started playing it (months ago) that is, realism. "How could California become red on the start of the game?" yet that was exactly what happenned. I think the momentum system should be modified slightly as to make the game more competitive or something, along with the 'poll randomizer' at the very start of one game. However, nice app.
I love this game and its concept! It's so easy to use and it really seems like your running a campaign. I would love it if there were third parties though, just for the fun of it. I know it's supposed to be realistic for educational purposes, but I feel like it'd be more engaging if you have the choice between many, multiple parties. Even if you just include the Greens and Libertarians.
Game is good, needs improvements like, telling the player at the end which states we have flipped, including the battle ground states too, rather than just showing the states. Also include the popular vote, so we can compete for it, and lastly put in options where there's a democratic caucus, in the beginning, in which we compete to get the most delegates, to win the nomination to run for president, and an option where you put in debates with the other party just before the campaign starts
Solid, fun game. It's really easy to win (I don't think I've lost yet, and can score over 400 most of the time). I wish the state the candidate and veep are from mattered, and more importantly I wish it would retain my sound preferences from one session to the next.
Mixed feelings. I'm british, never been to America in my life, despite this I decided to chose the hardest difficulty on my first and only game. I won by a landslide. This is a very easy game, your choices for what to say in appearances and ads are quite frankly common sense. However it gave me a good half an hour of enjoyment, but I probably wont play again.
For every thing this game does right theres 1 or 2 thing things it does wrong ,there's is strategy ,but not much of it theres no way to win a massive landslide,no matter what your opponent will somehow keep a handful of states and vis versa I tried purposely losing in a landslide by picking every wrong answer and i still managed to win around 180 votes ,theres a lack of impact of your decisions ,you can say something one state likes and and it won't change the lead in a state thats against it
1st of all i was not knowing how to play ,then i understood the matter when i failed after 10/15 times, and I'm winning the matchs, But u can come up with the update like, ruling the party for 5 to 10 years, re-election it if it's not working on the point. and make little hard to play, and many more updates u can make in it loved it.
One of the dev's best games, incredibly simple and the enemy a.i. wasn't that complex Good experience overall, but definitely lacking in replayability and that bit of oomph (can't quite put a finger on it, except it's not quite exciting) Ps: for new player target CALIF, TEX, and FLA. And any 2-3 money states.
Nice concept, but I was bored right after beginning. It would be much more interesting if the questions were hard to answer like, if you choose climate change, the should ask how many tons co2 america produces or something. You could actually learn something. But here it's just stick to the topic and focus on the rich states with many seats.
A very good, educational and at the same time quite simple simulator of the presidential race. I especially like the descriptions of party values and your voice acting. Keep it up, I wish you success in your new future games!
There are literally no negatives and cons about this game. No ads, very addicting, takes 30 minutes to complete, very simple, and get o make your party and support your own issues. Gameplay: Fun, addicting. l Controls: Even your Cat can play. l Graphics: Too good for a mobile game.
While his game is fun it lacks the realism of a real electoral map and the issues that it attributes to the diffeent states arent exactly true. As a tool to describe the electoral college it is a fine game, but to describe the nuance of a political campaign it needs some serious work. The choice of home sate and VP should have a larger effect on the game is just one of the changes that would make the game more realistic.
Very dissatisfied. I downloaded this app thinking it was a good game but turns out it's not. The game is OK. You get 3 choices (which are extremely easy) to answer at speeches which are so easy to answer that it's crazy. The game is too easy. It's hilarious how easy the game is. There should be more options for you to answer (not all have to be wrong) and actually CHALLENGE the player. Don't download if your looking for a challenging game.
Game's super easy if you know the correct strategy: grab TX, CA, FL and NY every game - that's a guaranteed 151 votes and $3 every single turn - use that to poll big money states. Then just turn over states with at least 10 votes, while ignoring your opponent's moves even if they can steal some smaller states from you, it's fine as long as you can get a bigger state in return. So easy, I finished with a 427 vote landslide once. Those who says it's hard just needs to get good.
As someone who has been playing this game for years, this game is excellent. It provides a sufficient, but not too terrible challenge, and it's nowhere near as biased as many other reviews make it out to be. I will say, however, it'd be interesting to have a mode where each state's values are adjusted to be similar to those in real life.
I think this game is awesome especially for educating young Americans and those new to the American political system. I say if you could make a similar game format that actually required picking between multiple answers of that effect the influence of your campaign(not just right or wrong) it would be A HIT!
I say that even tho not a American it is a very educational game for me but the problem is that there is no hard mode or something like that I understand it is for a younger audience but like for a going purpose that they should atleast add hard mode or a medium mode ............ But if possible add those modes because it's easy to finish this game in not more then 2-3 hours I rate it 3.7 stars
Quick question. What's wrong with the game 'convene the council' it causes my pc to shutdown (when playing via the website) and it is actually not on playstore. Please help. Other than this a bit of continuity or progression from one game to another will help those that think individual games are too short.
