Want to know how windy it is outside without having to run out there and throw some grass in the air?
Now you can with the Wind Compass!
Wind Compass gets your current location and then the current weather conditions based on that location. No fuss, no configuration, just quick weather readouts.
Current options include the ability to switch Wind Speed reading between Miles/hour or Kilometers/hour or Knots or Beaufort Wind Force or Meters Per Second
Select Compass north from True North or Magnetic North
Select Temperature from Fahrenheit or Celsius
Select the Arrow direction of the Wind Indicator from Blowing To or Coming From
Along with your wind info, Wind Compass also displays:
Current Temperature as well as the Estimated Highs and Lows for that day.
Sunrise/Sunset times as well as the estimated "First Light" and "Last light" times for that day (Also known as Nautical Twilight Start and End)
24 Hour Forecast as well as 7 Day Forecast giving you a weather timeline for the Time, Estimated Temperature, Estimated Wind Speed and Direction and % Chance of precipitation by the hour or day.
You can also change the look of the app by selecting from the many different background types including standard colored backgrounds.
Wind Compass uses the Darksky.net Weather data to provide accurate conditions where you are. Just open the app, let it update, and there you go. Darksky uses many sources and creates as accurate of a forecast as possible for your location.
As an added bonus, Wind Compass shows you which way is North so if you are inside or turned around, you can always know which way is north, along with the current wind direction.

I need wind speed and direction, quickly and without a lot of buttons, THIS IS IT , wow, as a pilot, I use this app a lot, never lets me down! Great App ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This app is great. I use it everyday for at the moment wind and temp and for forecast wind and direction looking forward.
I tried the app and it is better than most weather apps as it gives you wind speeds with hourly updates and you can check the current readings. However when looking at the daily report I find it must be giving only the forecasted values like most every other app. It doesn't do any good to tell you the wind speeds for the day are 8-9 mph if the current wind speeds is 23.7 with gusts of 36.8 mph. That is bad app design.
Truly love this app! It's so easy to navigate, highly customizable and gives me exactly what I wanted, nothing fancy. I wanted quick access to the wind speed, temperature and having the dew point listed is also a great future, especially in the summer. I love how it lists several hours of wind speed also, great for planing out door activities. Wind compass is perfect for me, thank you 😊
Just what I was looking for. I live in a very windy place and love to play disc golf. If it's not too much trouble, would you be willing to make a widget for speed and direction? Just like the display currently used but small and constant for my lock screen? It would also be nice if clicking it would lead to a forecast of speed and direction for the day as well as where the data is coming from.
What a great app. Everything is clear and concise.....and most of all, accurate. Love the fact that the compass actually works but also the amount of information provided is perfect, without being too much. No intrusive ads. A huge thank you to the developer/s. Highly recommend 😃
I check this app before going flying everytime , very helpful.
I really like it so far. Went through the settings and tweaked things to my liking. No nonsense reports. The accuracy seems pretty good. I can't wait to try it out this summer for boating Lake Michigan.
Started using Wind Compass to replace the Dark Sky weather app. After using it for a month or so to determine if I can fly my drone, I realize that it is a great weather app. It will show you anything you want to know about weather. While I am mostly interested in the speed of high gusting winds, this app will show much more.
Everything on this app is good except for wind gusts. The winds were 17.2 mph but the gusts 40.0 mph. Come on now! I told the developers to check out the wind gusts on my android phone. They said they would but no changes as yet. Like the wind direction indicator very much & the different colors you can choose.
It's a fair app 4★. But the Subscription fee is way too much for what the app has to offer. Where's the map? When using "Share" it takes a wind summary screenshot, but the text is cut off. 2★ for the paid version. Final rating 3★.

Wind is my primary concern n crucial for my activity altho the app is great in all other aspects n set up nicely n easy to use I wouldn't recommend it to anyone for wind info. I downloaded several apps alike n they all gave the same wind info except this one it seems to be off by 4 or 5 mph in wind speed to me even 2 mph off could spell disaster.Everything else seems to be ok and a sweet ui setup also. I check back later to see if this has been corrected because I would like to use this app
It's good, but what I'm still looking for is a widget. Simple speed and direction, with option for units etc at set up. A 1x1, maybe a 2x2
Not all that bad, but not giving as per configurations in the settings. For example, I had chosen to show UV INDEX and there was no information displaying or refreshing
Installed today. Compass is a bit not precise. May have to calibrate it. Many features loaded. Working fine. Will experiment it while on the go soon. Good app. indeed.
I'm a full time traveler/camper. The wind compass app has proven invaluable. I know how much wind my shelters can stand without damage. If the wind compass app predicts high winds that exceed those speeds, then I will not set up my tents. Additionally, the wind app tells me from which direction the wind will be blowing. I set up camp with wind direction in mind. I often place my vehicle in such a position that it protects my shelters from the wind. I've used this app for years. Love it!
