Wind Free

Do you want to go sailing, windsurfing, biking, kting, drone flying or just out of the door? This application shows the current local outdoor wind speed (in beaufort, mph, km/h, m/s and knots) and direction, measured by a nearby weather station for which it uses your current location.
Features:
- the background color changes with the wind speed
- the direction of the wind is shown on a live compass
- change between different wind speed units (beaufort, mph, km/h, m/s, knots)
- The wind is automatically updated every hour
- The location is automatically updated when you move more than 5 miles/10km
- share the wind data with your friends

Useless. The forecast is 20 and up to 40mph today. This app consistently says 4mph, which it def ain't

Almost good, but very annoying layout for most phones, except the Samsungs with tall screens I s'pose) as you need to scroll. With such limited info, it should fit easy, (along with your ads) on most phones. If only you made the font of the wind speed half the size or even put it in the middle of the compass it would be sweet. Actual info was pretty accurate. If it looked better I'd by the Pro version.

Accuracy appears to follow true, but I fail to understand the orientation of the compass. It would be nice to have it with North at the top of my screen. Otherwise, I Like It !

The current wind is from e but it reports from nw. Where did you get the figure? Disappointed

The idea for this app is great, if you are interested in getting wind information this should provide that information, but it doesn't, first of all 90% of the time doesn't provide wind information, is blank with the compass needle alway pointed at magnetic north, although the north is most of the time in the wrong direction, I travel on a daily basis and I am always checking the weather conditions and in particular wind speeds and direction, wind gust is not an option, too bad.
