Wind Map

I like the way this app delivers useful information. I use it when planning work trips to areas prone to typhoons. The beautiful UI allows me to check at a glance current wind conditions, or to preview pronostics. When tapping on any place of the map, a tooltip will show its precise coordinates along with the wind speed and direction. And bokmarking of places is a very useful feature. There are still some minor quirks, though: 1. When going to different places while also switching the time back and forth (f.ex. between "now", "+12h" and "+1d") sometimes the map ends up not matching the displayed time. (In those cases, I just close and reopen the app.) 2. When going to bookmarked places, there is no visual clue pointing to the exact bookmarked place. (I hope the developer will address this in future updates.) All in all a good app, worth getting the ad-free version.

It's a clone of the nullschool website. while it works more smoothly than the site does in a mobile browser, it's missing 90% of the features. If all you want is temperature and wind speed this is fine. I want more though. There's ads designed to mimic the interface of the app, too. Very sneaky and not cool.

Looks like it would be good but it is too hard to navigate and the ad at the top is annoying. The ad has an "x" on it and after pressing it a pop up comes up asking to buy an ad free version of this cumbersome app with "one touch". It could be very easy to Buy this when you are just trying to exit the application. Uninstalled.

Disappointed. This app is nice and I was going to pay for the upgrade (worth the $2.99) but the free version started popping up full page game adds that you couldn't exit from until you watched a bit of it. I support developers and they have to make money for their time. However, that's an irritating approach to selling your app. No upgrade and uninstalled.

Really amazing. Shows real time animated wind, temps at elevations from surface to the edge of space, for the entire planet! Lists and shows all named storms, invests, depressions, will show you actual sat. images, plus 'right now' wind and temp at any spot you tap with your finger. Add aren't too obnoxious. Very pleased with it. An impressive demonstration of the technology we have available at our fingertips.

I've always wondered about the dynamics of the winds as the national media normally shows just tiny sections only including the country's vincinity. Now I can see for myself on a day-to-day basis how the weather moves and influent the entire globe as a system. Everything is connected. This app is easy to manoeuvre and I love the visuals.

A small subset of the original. Very slow. No air pressure and the many features of the non-app, web version. If this was a student project then congratulations on making a test app. It is a good start but it is not enough to attract us away from using a web browser on which we are able to view the full work of the site's creator.

Informative global temperature overlay and cool adjustable globe styles. Zooming, never glitches on me over 2 years I've had this app. Pin drop will give info at that spot and predicts the future too! If you're looking for a good weather app, I like it Hope that helps!

Its amazing and the ads are easily skippable with the samsung phone's back button, so they're not an issue to me. It is really cool being able to see the live wind maps and even future wind forecast.

It was bad, because it needs pressure, wind speed, and some improvements, Improvements: 1. Why is it always gray on the map when I move it 2. Add pressure checks when tapping on 3. Add a button that checks he wind speeds globally

This app is quite easy to use and helpful. Shows the current active typhoons in the respective areas. Good except for the annoying ads.

Slow to render the images of the map and ads with audio. I find this app invasive with ads and still slow rendering if you pay for the app. There's better apps out there.....

Seriously... ads? Install all, before loading first time it had 3 commercials then I zoomed in on a typhoon ... answered a call and went back to app and yup more ads. Unreal... I can respect ad driven but this is too high a rate of commercial to use time. Note9 android 9

Great app, super easy scrollable and stable interface, geolocation data is granular enough i use it daily for public weather modeling and private research of jet stream movement causing layering effect in clippers, just awesome!

Guys, this is great App but still can be improved. 1- Graphics can be improved more. 2- Places names around cyclone eye should be displayed. 3- Expected future path to be shown. Maybe these are present but I couldn't see any of these.

Excellent at displaying wind patterns that impact my area. It makes easy work of giving the user a visual of why the weather is what it is for your area. Great job!

Too many ads. Didn't even zoom in all the way on the area I was checking and it hit me with an ad and a pop up to get the premium version. Instant uninstall

I got the app to check just the wind conditions to see how they may effect fishing. I don't check each and every day. You constantly send me messages that you miss me come check out the app. I will only use it when I have a need, not daily. Quit bugging me.

Fixed the problems! Great app! Would be nice if it showed wind patterns over land as well!

Fun to look at. Tropical Storms and higher are tracked on the app.

Free (ad supported) version appears to have disappeared!.. UPDATE: This has now been resolved.. many thanks ☺️

When using the app today an ad appeared that I could not close. Even after uninstalling and installing again. Ads are preventing usage so I just uninstalled once and for all.

Great app, but loses one star due to sending notification nag begging me to use it more, in the middle of the night no less, despite settings set to only notify about weather.
