Windrock Park

One time trip. Just pay for the app Our first time we were glad they offered an app. Coming back, search for other options. Google local clubs or mapping for Windrock Park. Lots of other options. The down side is they don't always show property boundaries. If you enter another riding area without permits and get caught, Will cost much more than paying for Windrock Map.

Just got back from my first WindRock experience. This app was the main navigation tool I used to lead our group through the park. It's far from perfect, but it is functional. It is far better than using the printed map for in-route navigation. We used the printed map to decide routes among the group, then I used this app for moving navigation. Issues: 1. One cannot zoom in far enough to determine detail on small screens. On my iPad, the zoom level was mostly adequate, but not great. 2. When one re-centers, the app zooms out. Highly annoying, but not a critical issue. It should keep the zoom level. 3. Exterior road connections are not well marked. 4. Price - I build apps, and they are expensive to build. Special purpose, or limited audience apps (as this is) are expensive. The WR app is appropriately priced, IF the above issues are fixed. Currently, it is a little over priced for what I determine is a beta product.

This is a good map for when you are on the trails. It keeps up where you are even has a triangle on your location dot to let you know which way youre moving on the trail. However, the dot & especially the triangle are very small. You MUST be moving to see your directional triangle but when your moving on the trails..even slowly its VERY hard to see it. You cant zoom in very close and the details on the map are blury&small. Overall I would recommend this map but it definitely needs improvements!!

Pretty good except the blue dot representing you is almost impossible to see when your on a blue trail. It should be a different color than all the trails. Also it would be nice if the map changed as you moved we constantly had to move the map and locate ourselves overall it worked good and we always found our way

I had a paper map and this Windrock Park app. The paper map showed trail g55 as being easy. But the WP app showed it as being difficult. I have been riding for 14 years. The paper map got it wrong and the WP app got it right. Back in the day I'm sure g55 was easy. But very little traffic and no maintenance made it bad. We made it all the way to the end of g55 and on to trail 53 but it was rough. We could see where a lot of folks just turned around and went back.

Hands down the most dissapointing app i have ever downloaded! Was just looking for a simple map of the trail system, so i download the "free" app, only to find out i have to pay $10 for a 7 day use of the map. Makes me almost not even want to go to the park, now.

Another example of Windrock nickel and diming their customers. The place has seriously gone down hill since the ownership change and it just gets worse every year. Seriously, you go to their website and try to find a map and they just lead you to the Play Store to download this app. Then once you install it you find out you have to pay to actually see the map??? I used to come here with a large group of 30+ people at least twice a year. Then once a year. Now we probably won't come at all

Please, please, PLEASE change the your location icon to another color other than blue! A lot of trails are blue trails so having a tiny blue dot as your location is the WORST idea ever and is useless. Change it to any other color not used as a trail color but hey, it's Tennessee, how about orange?

Somehow I ended up being the navigator for our group. This app made it easy. It shows you exactly where you are so you can easily find your way to the next adventure. Trails are color coded and some scenic spots are shown.

People who think this app sucks and Windrock is greedy are idiots. $100 for a year of riding on 73000 acres is a bargain and $20 not to get lost while doing it is cheap too. The resolution on the map is not great, but it works just fine. We wheeled all day and didn't make one wrong turn. If you are a first timer or not super familiar with the park, get the app. Its worth it

Don't waste your time downloading this app. They want you to pay a unreasonable amount for the map. I'm a season pass holder and you would think you could get a free map by nooooo. Also, alot of their trails are just so washed out and not maintained. Be ready to tear your stuff up.

Love the app,but recently upgraded my phone,and when I did,now my subscription is gone??? I had gotten a year,what do I do now? Other than that the park and map are A1, I love them both!! Great work,and let me know what I can do,thanks!

Bought the year map 8/2020 its 3/2021 my years map and 20.00 is gone called said they would try to reload it. The so called interactive part never worked? Going next month here goes ANOTHER 20.00. But for this reason after this trip there are other places I'll be going. Really nice staff on property and campgrounds. It's just this map h of w know maybe the 2nd time in less than a year I'll get the interactive m a p I've already paid for I less than a year.

This is some garbage... I love windrock and all but this is retarded! 20 bucks for year access to the trail map?! Just download the Wikiloc app and get every offroad map you ever need for free... I mean come on! Ya'll charging 100 bucks for a year pass and now you expect ppl to pay 20 to look at a map?! just wow 🤦🏻‍♂️

The investment of your park, ideal great desicion but concidering the dissatisfaction of map app.pricing with not even incentive for your ( top paying customers ), such as a year pass holder.To throw in a free map isn't much to loose I wouldn't think ,considering the business you'll loose overall &long-term.Over $$$$ 20.00pinching .Probably isn't the best business choice.Ud get more $$$ when u satisfy the customers u have.THEY WILL KEEP COMING&THEY WILL BRING FREINDS&THEY'LL TELL FAMiLY&SO ON

This app is only good for viewing the map, which I already have. Would have gave it 5 stars (even if I didn't use the map) if there was an option to purchase the land use permit but sadly there's not.

It's hard to read the map on the phone also the GPS did not work much at the park. I found myself just using standard paper map.

I bought the map in this app and it was very glitchy, kept crashing and draining my battery... I couldn't get it to work... $9 down the drain.

Wish the map feature was available on all my devices after paying for it...Or at least another small charge for added devices! Cool if you got a free map with a annual permit purchase!

Wont pay for an app that may or may not work where i have no cellular service. You ahould at least give a free trial so people can see whether it works or not

Don't buy this app!!!! It's better to just get the paper map! The GPS almost never works! Absolutely worthless!

The map costs $20! If I am downloading a map I am probably already paying for a pass to visit windrock. That is just nickel and diming.

Useless app, if you pay for an annual membership then the map should be free. No need to tack on another 20 bucks for a virtual map

Downloaded so I can see the map, only to discover I had to pay for the map. No thank you please.

It's a free app that has only a place to pay $9.99 for a week of viewing the map. Just charge for the app.

Coming from their website. Installed the app for map, discovered I'd have to pay for map, uninstalled app. Pitiful.

Very disappointed that they charge money for a service that should be free for everyone that uses their trail system.

Lousy useless app, 10 bucks for a 7 day pass for a map and 20 for an annual pass for a map! Absolutely ridiculous.

The trail map is not interactive. It's just a map doesn't show you were your at ever..
