Worst app. It keeps freezing (a lot), it disconnects and "reconnects", repeatedly asks you to sign, and it requires you to agree to very intrusive permissions. This app is required in order to use the device (when it works) so either no device (internet connection) or you get coerced into using the app. There are no alternatives so it is very obvious the company does not care and has no incentive to have any sort of quality. If ANY option presents itself I will take it. But it probably won't.
Could not setup the app via my cell phone, because you have to verify your email address and the cell phone version steamed unable to do that. Worked perfectly when I set it up from a desktop. Once app is set up, it works perfectly from the desktop or cell phone.
Downloaded and installed. Took a little playing to get it working. However the was useless. My Gateway was paired and now it shows it's not. When you go to pair it and it asks for the ConnecT password it won't accept it. However if I just go to my phones Wifi connection and select manage it through it I can do everything plus. So why have this app? Did figure out that the Gateway password won't work with the app if you have characters in it. Changed that and now working with app again.
I would rate it a zero if I could. I cannot log in because it says my password is wrong. When I try to reset the password, the message is -no such email address in the system. When I try to set up the account again, the message is that email address is already in use! I read the othe reviews which are the worst I have ever seen. And the Connect 2.0 does not work. So Winegard you are batting at zero: useless app, useless product and hopless customer support that sent me to this worthless app.
The 1/8 update sucks! It has a font size issue which is also an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) issue. Contacted development by email and they refused to fix the issue - they said to change global font to smallest. Application constantly fails when rebooting router. I made multiple reports on the failures. DONT USE THIS UNLESS YOU ABSOLUTELY MUST! Winegard has apparently stopped supporting the app.
I was able to download and connect to my Togo Roadlink C2. I was able to get my AT&T plan signed up, and the Roadlink device was connected to the internet with 24Mbps download speed. Then I tried to use the app's "Rename SSID" button (the pencil icon next to SSID). After renaming, the Roadlink device lost its internet connection. Then the Roadlink device disappeared from the app's list of devices, and CAN NO LONGER BE ADDED TO THE LIST BY ANY MEANS. This app was created by college sophomores that don't care at all about user experience or _even baseline functionality_.
I'm unable to click accept on the terms of service. I can click the links in the terms of service but neither accept nor decline do anything. Please help because until I can get past this point it renders the $400 connect I installed useless. Update 11/12/19 I'm using a Pixel 2XL running Android 10. I tried it out on my old Nexus 6 that's running Android 7.1.1 and it works as expected, so an update for a newer version of Android is required.
The original app worked okay although clunky. After the most recent update to version 0.5.9,I can no longer read anything on the right side of the window! It is now BROKEN. There is some gibberish on the right side of the window but is unintelligible. I have a Samsung Tab A S pen tablet.
The worst app and product ever. Difficult to set up... Could not read my sim card. After some time, it "forgot" all my log in and now I cant connect to the router. If there was negative stars I would rate this a minus 3 stars.
Used it to manually register myplaymaker. The scanner would not work. Never did find the signal pointer part of the app - it keeps sending you screens to buy things and to the corporate page "about us." Pretty useless.
Downloaded this app to use with a Winegard blue tooth controlled television antenna. This app is the worst I've seen. Barely connects, and as soon as you attempt to fine tune the antenna, the app fails and shuts down. Biggest waste of money and time.
Impossible. Two of us have been working on it for two months. And every other day it quits and we work on it for several more dayd. Still have never gotten Verizon hotspot to work even though I went to the Verizon store and got the manager to set up the sim. Support from Verizon is is nonexistent until you get to tier-2 which takes you over an hour each time you call and then the call gets dropped. Verizon doesn't understand that it's just a hotspot that is sitting on the roof with their Sim.
This is the worst app ever. Bought a togo, tried to set it up and it would not connect. Got on the phone to customer support. After about an hour and a half. She finally told me to send it back to amazon, because it was defective. So I did. the problem is it would never "find" my winegard antenna, even though My phone (a LG stylus 2) " showed it "as connected very strong signal - but no internet" she said it wont have internet until I buy a package. But I cant buy a package because your program wont work... so I sent the unit back and ordered a new one. Today it came in. I spent 2 hours trying to set it up it still wont connect . when I try to connect my antenna it now says cant find GPS or something like that. My location/GPS is turned on. I tried using phone data, I tried Internet through my normal verizon wifi connection, and I tried through the winegard wifi connect even though it has no internet.. I removed/installed the program several times. I deleted the old unit in my togo account and installed the new one. I reconfirmed or allowed the program to reset the password/administrative several times. I went out to the antenna and did the reset several times... Come on winegard. this is ridiculous. Why cant you just let me hook to my Togo through my computer and skip the whole sill phone app????? I guess I will call at 8 am when you open tomorrow and waste several more hours. I will upgrade this review when you get your act together. NO WAY could I recommend this to my subscribers...
Since the new update, the app freezes and stops responding making it very difficult to control my roadlink. Please fix, otherwise, I've never had an issue with it.
Your company and it's "help" desk is absolutely useless. I've been back and forth for over a month now, trying to get Winegard to update the sim card number on my account. I keep on getting the same generic reply, which is not helpful. When I go through your tech support, they tell me to reset my device or update software, which does absolutely nothing to update my SIM number. I got a new sim card I want to put in the winegard. I changed it already, but the device is still showing the old sim.
Coming from a software engineer.... This is a poor UX experience and the app doesn't work at all. It's too bad Winegard doesn't seem to back their products, I was so hopeful for this in my RV, now it's just a paperweight on my roof.
Piece of junk... can't even log into the 'must create ' account. Setup twice and still looking for 'must confirm email' message in my emails (yes, already checked 'junk' & 'spam'). Returning antenna and amp!!!
Awful awful app. Doesn't work. Im literally connected to my ConnecT 2.0 and it keeps telling me that it cannot find the device on this network. Horrible app. Makes the device almost not worth it
Well, so far I cannot download the app at all. Very frustrating...other thing download fine. This just keeps saying waiting to download. Update...24 hrs and still cannot load app from play store. Seems I just wasted $400. Note5. Will try another phone, but I'm not aware of any other way to use the device.
The reason I had a great experience is bc I placed my phone 1 inch away from the white power supply/amplifier. Had nothing but problems when I was further away! The reason I made it 5 stars is so you guys will look to see who the hell rated this 5 stars, then see the fix I did! You're welcome!
Terrible app. This app is a POS! It simply does not work. Tech help is clueless. That bubble on the top of my motor home would not even make a good boat anchor.
The winegard connect 2.0 device is garbage I hate it it turns on and off on and off.. I've not used it one effing time in from the day installed but it maxes out my data in 2 hours its junk. I will never buy your products ever again.
I spent $430.00 to purchase the Winegard Connect 2.0. This app is basically used as the controller for it and is single handedly the worst app I have ever used. If I could go back in time and never deal with this company again I would. Would not recommend.
Impossible to stop scanning. Impossible to connect. Impossible to make it work. Never use it!!!
Unfriendly interface. This app doesn't work as advertised. Very non intuitive too. I'd return the winegard antenna if I could. POS.
Stopped working and by the looks of things it looks like no one is working on the app anymore With all the problems with the winegard not seeing the sim card etc maybe they just want to take people's money before they shut shop No use in emailing them its not working and no-one is even monitoring this page
EASY set up using the app! My guess is the bad reviews for the app are people who who don't read. I didn't have any issues setting up my device at all. set up my account and guest account like a breeze! I can't speak for the salty people here. I didn't have any issues using this app at all. just follow the instructions it's pretty simple! I'm currently using my Togo device to leave this comment! TY winegard!!
This App is totally nonsense. It doesn't recognize my password but seems to recognize my email (login). Then when I try to reset it is doesn't recognize my email.
Ever since the update, it's not connecting well to my Winegard Connect-T 2.0, which is really frustrating. Please fix immediately.
This app is absolutely terrible, major connection issues, if there's no internet access say I don't know your Wi-Fi booster isn't working It is next to impossible to log into it with this app to reset it because it needs internet to work. Or it seems like it, and for newer phones that when they figure out there's no Wi-Fi or internet through said Wi-Fi it automatically reverts back to cell signal for data it cannot find the device, wish developers could pull their head out of their ass.
