Finding FREE HDTV programming has never been easier! The HDTV Tower Finder app featuring augmented reality uses your current location and displays all available HDTV towers. Use it to place your current antenna in the best location or to look around for HDTV towers in your area. Avoid obstructions with the augmented reality view.
Antenna Pointer - Use the top-down map view to locate all HDTV towers closest to your address or GPS location. Eliminate signal obstructions such as trees, hills, and buildings by switching to the augmented reality (AR) view. Simply point your phone to the horizon and rotate 360 degrees to bring into view your desired HDTV tower and find the best location to point your antenna. The number displayed above a tower indicates the number of channels available. Tap the tower icon to see full channel details.

This app requires the use of the camera, GPS, and compass in your smartphone. Compass accuracy is based on calibration and distance from large objects that may cause magnetic interference.

it has been fixed and if you have a camera on your phone you can see where the towers are approximately. works great again, just like the old version.
I thought the app would help me get channels better, however no antinna are seen beyond 25 miles. Digital television has been nothing but a complete scam for me. I have better reception with old style broadcast!!! I hate digital television, and antenna all of it is just a waist of money so they friends politicians and crooked businessmen can crook people into paying money for junk. Why are we limited to 20 mile reception, we should have the ability to receive stations from 200 miles away.
Won't show chennels 30 miles away that Im trying to optimize reception for, but shows random channels 60 miles away that I cant get with their antenna in any direction.
Does not appear to work, poor instructions, not clear what orientation of the screen should be to "hold red circle to horizon". The red circle stays in center of the screen. Should surface of screen be horizontal or vertical?
Latest update v1.1 is completely broke on Android 10 and Google maps 10.46.1. won't let me set an address and map display is blank!
OK - this app is gone. Why do you need permission to take/record pictures & video ? Pulling location - understood - no problems. But pictures/videos ?
It just shows you the location. It is not a compass map that would show you how much you need to turn your antenna.
Totally useless - hook up antenna and move it around then you don't need to share your all your info with wineguard.
Defective app with a bug, can't pass the agreement page, only exit, I hope tech support address issue soon.
force use location, sad. all I need is a geolocation of nearby transmitters. not to give away private information so you can target adds and sales to me
Works great. Just make sure a compass app is on the phone to locate true north.
Pictures and video required to locate radio towers, mobile location allowed, too weird.

Doesn't work. Displays a single tower in a static position on my screen no matter which way I'm facing
App didn't even work at all, never opened to tower finder screen. Waste of time.

not letting you take pictures and record video
We are retired and are touring the country in a motorhome. We have been using two Winegard Flatwave antennas for OTA input to our two TVs. We are seldom familiar with where local TV towers are located wherever we go and have tried numerous apps designed to locate the towers. I almost passed on this app based on the low average rating but when I read all the reviews it became apparent most of the reviewers slammed the app based on an early glitch getting past the T&C. Glad I didn't. Best app yet.
