Used to be Awesome, then updates came and took away the ACCURACY! I deleted it & tried other apps. Most were 10 minutes behind. When you are outdoors me st of the day, 10 minutes behind doesn't cut it!! Now downloading new & improved app. We'll see & I'll re-rate it when I find out how it actually performs. THANK YOU WINK for listening to us!
Data intermittently fails to reach my Android 10 phone. Maps, ads, and all background graphics fully display, but no hourly, daily, or lockscreen or notification area information appears any longer. I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times to no avail. Nor have I ever received a callback from WINK TV despite leaving several messages.
I'd still like to set the map to my specific region and not the entire state. Used to be able to but you took that feature away a few updates ago. Not crazy about new format; prefer the old main screen as it had more info instantly.
In SW FL I work in roofing and use 6 different apps to forecast the weather. This app has been the most accurate. I use it the most. This app remains my favorite weather app. I've moved to another state and it still remains to be the most accurate.
The app no longer displays hourly and daily info. If I leave it running in the background it eventually works, but it takes 15 minutes or more to catch up. It used to work great...not any more.
It's one of the best weather apps for SW Florida. I really like it and use it a lot. With one exception.... I'm getting tired to look at the two gentleman when the app starts. It's really strange, who are they and why are they shown?
You've got advertising smack in the middle of the page!!! Come on guys, the old version was much better. The background photo features the top of some scraggly looking tree... how about a palm tree or anything Florida l ike. Please fix this mess.
The update is terrible. Clumsy revamp. I liked that it used to open with the radar map and daily forecast. Adds are obnoxious. And why on earth does the home page include South West Florida's forecast when I live in the Midwest? I will most likely be finding a new weather app.
Doesn't work anymore. Uninstalled and reinstalled and the app still won't open.
Feel that the information that I gain from watching wink weather is straightforward and truthful. The weather predictions that the meteorologist provide is extremely accurate. I line soccer and flag football fields with water base field marking paint. I am extremely Reliant on weather predictions to do my side work.
After several years this app slowed to a crawl while loading. I cleared the cache and data and now it works like it did in the old days, loads quite quickly now.
I've been through all of the other weather apps including WeatherBug and The weather channel and weather underground and all the different apps and this one is by far the best weather app I have found.
Uninstalling. This weather app is always the exact opposite of what the weather really is. Terrible forecasting Wink....switching to someone else.
Latest upgrade doesn't work on my phone. It won't load! Previous version was great. Now I'm looking for a usable ap.
Worst weather app I've ever had the displeasure of using. False reporting on radar maps. Won't lock on my GPS, it locks on to the station address only. Terrible.
Always used it and loved it . after latest update will not let me put lightning alerts on. I NEED THIS FOR MY WORK. so i have uminstalled it.
The current weather video often gives the circle of doom for 10 minutes... Then said if I want to watch the video again! What? I didn't see it the first time! 🥴
Terrible Update... Daily, current temps, hourly not loading and you maps are inaccurate. I uninstalled your App on Android!!!
Keeps giving me notices that don't open. News videos aren't playing. Spin and then ask if want to watch again having never played.
Doesn't work on android. No hourly. No daily. Doesn't even give the current temp. Worked well until this update.
The app is stable and works well. I like the videos of the broadcast TV weather reports. Unfortunately, the videos are only updated once a day, twice if you're lucky. On weekends, the video is often a day old! The TV weather reports are broadcast at least a dozen times daily. How hard is it to post those videos in the app to keep us up to date? Update the videos 4 to 6 times per day and I'll give it a 5* rating.
