wireless speaker for android

Android application to turn Android device into wireless speaker (Also works with USB tethering and WiFi HotSpot)Servers can be downloaded from http://wifiaudio.boards.net/
New Features in Windows Server :-1) Auto start at system boot 2) Auto discover mobile device (Needs firewall exception for port 32000 in Windows Firewall)3) Remember last used IP address and auto start audio transmission if IP address is stored.Linux Server :-1) Auto discover mobile device 2) Movie mode for audio video sync.

How it works:Download Windows or Linux executable on your machine depending on the OS a) Run WiFi Audio Android App, you will see IP address of mobile device after that run Windows/Linux application and put mobile device's IP address in the IP address field and then press start on PC application. Now all audio coming out from PC will be send to mobile device and you will hear audio on mobile device.b) This version also supports auto-discover feature, that will work in following conditions1) Users has to allow incoming packets from port 32000 on the PC, For Windows user has to add exception for either application executable or for port 32000. On Linux following command will add exception for port 32000 iptables -I INPUT -p udp --dport 32000 -j ACCEPT or users can use firewalld to add exception permanently.(Note: to execute iptables command root permission is required on Linux)

Requirements:Windows Vista or above Linux PC with Pulse Audio (64bit version only)

simply does what it says on the lable. streaming live audio from pc to your mobile when both are connected through same Wifi network. very simple downloading process and pretty straight forward when it comes to setting it up. I could understand the frustration for some new users, the urge to not wanting to register on their forum to download the .exe file. Forward me a message and I'll help out with the how-to if you need help with the registrations process. Amazing app! Many thanks Developers.

Have been using this app for a very long time. I really love it... has proven invaluable. My only criticism is, and this has been very frustrating, if my phone is not connected to a power cable the app eventually stops transmitting audio. I have removed the app from "battery usage optimization" to prevent the Doze Mode, but it still does this. Fixing this would make the app nearly perfect. The latency is noticable, but tolerable.

App is good, works very smooth when it does, but lately I am facing issues like sound breaking after every 3 second (yes i counted) and no matter what i do it is not fixing. It is automatically getting fixed which means i cannot control the issue. It had lagging problem previously but now that's resolved. I personally would have given it 5 stars if I were not facing the breaking effect. It's very annoying.

Much more consistent and easier to use than SoundWire, auto-detection is snappy, latency is amazingly low, but it lacks a lot of options. Namely, selecting a sound source (I'd like to use it with Voicemeeter) and detailed audio stream properties. All in all, a great little app if you find yourself lacking speakers and don't need to cutomize the audio stream.

Works very well with my mobile and laptop. I'd give a Five star 🌟, but the UI looks very basic. There's nothing wrong with the application. You'll have to download a small software for your PC and run the app. There's a forum for downloading the software, just signup for free to be able to download. Works like a charm. Note: It doesn't prevent the inbuilt speakers from playing, this can cause delay, so I use a broken headphone jack to disable audio from laptop and only use the phone speaker.

This mainly works fine. Some issues though: 1) This app will stop working on its own regardless or not if you change battery settings for it. Other apps like Blokada get around this by having a persistent notification. 2) I would like the app to be put on Github, hosting it on a forum is sketchy. 3) There is some slight latency at times but I'm not sure what causes it.

RED FLAGS. to d/l the matching server application required signing up for a forum with personal information. TOS explicitly says they will sell your information and market to you. WORSE, it inserts itself silently as a startup application with no way to stop it. i used msconfig to remove it from startup apps (removes the registry key it adds), but it reinserts itself every time you run it! i do not trust it. functionality is ok once, then fails without a complete phone restart every time.

It's a very good, useful and simple app that delivers high quality PC to Android audio stream. However, there is only one thing that is reducing its usefulness and that is the PC to Android audio stream stops if the app is minized on Android. So, the background playback is the only thing that is preventing it from becoming flawless. Some work around that would be highly appreciated. :)

Its definitely not a pain in the a** to download & install the pc client at all. its only a forum register. very easy-fast to signup. better than soundwire & all other audio streaming apps in the market. latency is nearly zero and quality is very good. edit: there is small disconnecting problems frequently on long sessions sadly.

Don't be fooled by the simple interface. This app works when all else have failed. It's by far the least glitchy of the WiFi audio streaming apps I've tried. Got lured away briefly by an app with more options recently. Nah. This is the buachaill!

An app that does what it is supposed to do effortlessly and without noticeable lag, only a few hiccups sparingly, but nothing major. Easy to setup and to use, a good solution for a lot of problems, from not-ready-to-party PC speakers to broken headsets.

I rate it 3-star because it solved my problem. But barely. There is a significant lag in audio, which renders this app very annoying to watch movies and youtube videos. Sound quality for music is only okay-ish. I used Dell-G5 laptop, Samsung S10+, Apple earpods and Spotify for these tests.

Does exactly what it says and is very easy to set up. The delay is minimal and is probably based more on your wifi connection. There are some breaks in the audio but that is most likely due to the connection. Grest app

This app is incredible. Lag free. I used this app to stream audio from my windows desktop to my Bluetooth headphones on my cell phone because my desktop doesn't have Bluetooth. This is the best one I found. Thanks!!!

I give it a 4 because its not suited for movies. There is a tiny latency which becomes annoying after a while. If there was a slider on the PC app that could tweak the audio latency it would be great. like a 0 - 10 sec latency fixer.

Works incredibly well unlike others apps that lag... This ones nearly instant and loud. Liver saver if you need speakers. I don't agree with being forced to sign and and confirm an account to use this but it's well worth it. Thank you developers.

I found difficulty in connecting the audio at first and found out how to connect it. By keeping the mobile hotspot on in my PC and then connecting it first and generating audio using Forum app. But there is a lot of unwanted noise like vibration while audio is generated

This app is just perfect. Minimalistic and works flawlessly. My laptop speaker is broken but with this app and its pc version i can play any pc sounds as long as I'm in range. To the developers, well done and thank you.

I'm using this app more than 1 year but recently (some time ago also happening this issue, but it was fixed. Audio lagging if its ruining on background or just turned off the screen... Even after all necessary settings are enabled.

If you audio is not getting connected whatever you do make sure that the wifi you are connected to on your phone has its IP settings set to static instead of DHCP. You can change the settings by going to your phonee settings app then wifi select the wifi you are connected to and then scroll down to see the IP Settings.

It works so well i resorted to this wi-fi or do when audio relay is no longer working it is so very easy to use and setup though if you were able to open it is really working or streaming the audio from your pc to your phone when see a see a window of the app in your pc you have to manually minimize all your windows so you can see you though it works so well and i liked it so much
