WIS News 10

This app consistently sends me the same push twice and semi regularly doesn't open the link the push is for. The app isn't particularly well designed. Lastly, WIS is constantly giving me pushes for things that are neither local or News.

Useless have the time you get notification and are not able to connect. It is only happened once no problem but this app isn't even a 1 star

Absolutely useless!! This new version is horrible! Spam adds pop up and I have to completely close the app and go back to the article. Within seconds of trying to read an article the screen goes completely white everytime. I've uninstalled then reinstalled the app. It's pointless. I don't understand why you would allow such trash and not have taken steps to fix it. I'll be using WLTX until this is fixed. It seems your viewers are no longer your priority. Very disappointed...

The new update makes video play every time you open an article. You have to constantly mute the video, which is annoying, and can't simply READ the news. There is no option in the settings to stop the video from playing every time. Don't try to wake up, have a cup of coffee, and read anything in silence. Right now that is impossible.

6/30/2021 update once again made things worse. Now the headlines are incomplete, you have to select it to know what it is about. Many times the incomplete headlines tilts the article one way but when you open article the tilt is the total opposite. New version is very slow to open. Soms articles come up, start to read, then a blank white screen.. Slower to update news than WLTX. On weekends seems to be very few updates. Seem to only post Gamecock news when they win.

1/25/22 WHY AM I GETTING DUPLICATE NOTIFICATIONS!!!! 4 of the one about the correction to the suspect info alone today! Please make it stop! Or do I need to just remove the app? 1/7/22 I like getting updated on what's happening but wish I could choose to opt out of somethings, like sports. My bigger issue is that for some reason I get almost all the alerts twice. Why? Once is enough. Please stop the double alerts.

Good app for general overview of the days events sometimes. But with the latest update, there are too many popup ads. Get right in the middle of reading an article and a stupid ad pops up. Also, scrolling thru the headlines leads you to believe many stories pertain to local situations. But after clicking on a headline, the story is often that of something in another state and has no real importance to South Carolina. More focus needs to be placed on local stories because you are a local station. If I want to hear about national or international news, I'll use CNN, FOX, or other main broadcast companies.

This update is horrible! Video plays when stories open, I get a white screen when I try to scroll and read a story. Then I have to exit and start over again! If you can't fix, just go back to the old version. Constantly crashes too.

It is a good app, but what makes me give it a 2 star is because every video there is an ad before you can get to the news and it's annoying. Now I can see some ads here and there, but every time. This why I don't watch the video's and I understand this is how you get revenue, but the ads are too much.

I do not like the new app. The old one was so much easier to read. The weather part is especially frustrating! Also, the lawyer ad that you have to close before you get to the news part is annoying. I'm considering taking the app off my phone and tablet!

Update! Had the app for a few months now and still say it's an ok app, one good thing, I only need to read the news one time a week, because they always keep the same news for a week or sometimes even longer! Not good but as good as any other local news apps so what do I do? Accept something not so good.

WIS updated their app for thir local news. Now you have to purposely click to close a lawyers ad before entering and screens often will load with a news story only to blank out white after a few seconds. Either the new graphics or the ads are making the load time on opening the app and its screens very long. Im about ready to uninstall it and go with CBS news instead on my usual NBC affiliate.

the update is trash never works on note 8 never get my notifications and the news never updates. May get a updated headline with the stories still being the same. Content layout is not very easy on the eyes so I would say its not user friendly....go back to the old version

App never wants to open on any device. I have to close out of it multiple times before it will actually work. Desktop website is just as bad. It's slow and the ads get a little out of hand.

Your new app is not working. Every time I click on a story the screen goes blank after the article appears. I have deleted and reinstalled it and the problem continues. The old app worked fine.

Ap crashes all the time, especially when trying to view the weather page. I understand they need ads, but most of the time the ads are longer than the news story videos!

Too much pushing of ads that you can not get out of without closing all apps. Also can not keep voice from coming on. Liked old app and will look for an alternative.

My experience?? I can't even get through a whole news article without a "CONGRATULATIONS YOU ARE A LUCKY WINNER" scam...so my experience you ask? I have ZERO with the news but tons getting my phone straightened out! After reading more reviews I am going to follow suit and remove from the play store..I would rather go back & buy the state paper then spend countless hours cleaning my phone

This was my go to app but now i will uninstall it. Freezing, excessive ads, and sometimes it won't even open, It just shuts down and takes me back to my home screen. Guess I'll go with WLTX from now on.

I will be getting my news from wltx until you get rid of this crazy app. If I wanted sounds and video I would click on you have taken away the choice of reading only plus it takes to long to load because of ads, terrible

Sharing news stories has become impossible... All that shows on Facebook is the "Top Story" link that redirects to the main news list. Also, reading stories on WIS is dangerous. This is the only website/app where these funky Google-looking phishing popups happen. Need better security on your site!!!

The videos and ads autoplaying make it unusable to read in places where I don't want the sound blasting. Check out WACH Fox 57 app to see how to make a user friendly app.

Latest update is terrible. At times just spins trying to open. Other times it freezes when you open an article. Will take a look at WLTX.

I really liked this app until it was updated. Since updating this app, the news is not up to date with breaking news, shows the same news for days and is over all not user friendly.

The new version of this app is terrible. It constantly closes, has to be refreshed and takes forever to load. I want the old version back!!!

The "new" updated app is awful! Takes several seconds, sometimes up to a minute to open. Strongly considering deleting the app.

Unwanted videos. Repeated stories. New not up to date. Poor sports coverage. Sports report several dsys behind. For some unknown reason screen goes blank and i have to restart from top.
