I may not be the best person to ask because my technical ability is limited so it's possible I'm the problem? When I'm listening work using this app, it often turns itself off every ten minutes or so. I totally love the content which makes this particularly frustrating. I'm having a hard time with the fact that it stops and I have to try and restart it at the right place so I don't miss anything.

Two issues : I am forced to hear their ads every time I get on the app, even if it's the fifth time in one day. That's both irritating, especially In a "non-commercial" station, and it makes me miss the beginning of the news. Secondly, all too often the ads are a lot louder than what comes next.

Always something to learn while listening to WPR. Great local coverage and good programs. I especially like the book reviews.

I currently live in Central Texas and this app stays connected better than the Austin Public Radio. Plus WPR also plays music.

Great to be able to stream past shows-- but sometimes difficult to find them.

The app is so cool and fun! Of course it's cool that I can turn my phone off it still plays the radio and in my lock screen I can control pause, play, add 10secs, and reverse 10secs. My Bluetooth speaker actually has a radio, but never use it.So I downloaded the app, pair the speaker, get the Idea Channel on, and it works! The app is great for the on demand, the alarm feature, schedules, NPR news also the WPR news make the app great. Even tells you the weather. That's awesome. Worth downloading.

Great way for me to continue to enjoy WPR after moving to St. Louis. Interface is straightforward; not a lot of bells and whistles, but it gets the job done and offers pretty much any program on demand. Only request would be a "favorites" menu or shortcut tiles on the homescreen. Thanks WPR!

Works better than the earlier one. But it doesn't seem to regularly recognize my Blue tooth

Being a serious WPR-NPR listener and sustaining member for years, I love the convenience of this app.

I love all WPR's offerings! I miss the Politics Podcast!

The app works fairly well but I don't like the fact that the radio keeps playing after I close the app. I need to restart the app to shut it off, and then it does not show me the pause button until I fiddle around with other choices. Very annoying.

On demand playback stream cuts out on Old Time Radio stream. Cleaning memory and storage does not fix the problem. Restarting the phone works sometimes. Uninstall and reinstalling works for a few uses but occurs again after some time. Android 8.0 phone.

The app has good intentions but seems rather buggy. The "on demand" feature rarely works properly, and when programs are played as mp3s instead, they play at a lower volume level and frequently stop for no apparent reason.

Sometimes when you go to open the app, as it is starting up and loading, it will completely close out of itself and you'll have to go back in. Usually only happens once then your good. Other than that it's great!

Crashes regularly, will randomly pause for 5-10 seconds. Station identifications come in the middle of stories, when story resumes you've missed 20 seconds or more. Very annoying. Doesn't work properly with Android lock screen.

I have dependable access to a primary source of news and information, including links to programming from public stations around the country as well as, of course, NPR. There is also the opportunity to hear and/ or read segments from WPR and NPR news programming I may have missed or want to review. One thing I cannot do is send links to friends directly from the app. I use this every day on my Nook tablet for Morning and Weekend Edition so I can carry the news with me around the house.

I love everything about it, except listening to historical content. It can be difficult or impossible to rewind without jumping back to the beginning of a segment.

I love this App and use it daily when I'm moving around the house a lot or outside on the go. Totally reliable and trustworthy news, as well as excellent music programming.

App crashes when pulled from background to active and loses the place in the story and must be set manually. If a phone call interrupts, you'll need to remember where you were, in which story... THIS IS NOT SATISFACTORY, AND NOONE IS FIXING IT.

Seems very glitchy. Live stream drops intermittently. I don't have this problem with many other apps, and I know it's not simply my device or connection quality.

Tho. B. Jan 3, 2021

It works well. I wish the app didn't run in the background to drain my phone. I cannot get the station in the car in most areas. I love this station. Don't see any other options.

Good content but the app still has some bugs. Have to restart it to switch to on demand content from live stream, an at some other times.
