Wiser – Simple Senior Launcher

Nice app but few problems : 1. There's no battery percentage anywhere 2. Camera icon linked to gallery instead of camera app 3. There's no alarm clock that will wake you up every day. Only a reminder. 4. Clock tab background should be all black. Not half white. 5. Clock tab should be closer to the homepage tab or inside of it 6. Very very very slow, take a lot of time to open a contact profile, or even to scroll between home page to other tabs. And we have new and powerful phone (Samsung and lg models of 2017). Maybe it has something to do with app always trying to connect to the internet. 7. Better if it had its own calling and messaging app 8. I heard about crashes bugs in others' people phone, so far not in mine. 9. There's an floating icon of the app whener you leave the homepage and open another app, even if you do remove it it will come back again. Very unnecessary. 10. Instead of making the use of the phone easier it's making it harder. 11. I tried to uninstall it and i couldn't. The uninstall button on the apps manager was disabled, i couldn't shut it down, nor go back to the android default launcher. The floater always reappear after enabling another launcher. I succeeded to uninstall only through Google store. Overall it's very very very bad. I wouldn't recommend it at all

Installed and uninstalled on my mum's new phone on the same day. It caused everything to slow down to the point it was unusable. Uninstalled and performance significantly improved immediately. Couldn't load help or contact tech support as it just hung

it would be helpful if there was a easier voice to text message button. like clicking an a microphobe and just l adding it to text and sending a text message.

I tried some similar apps, this app seems the best because there is distance tutoring, but there are no other languages than English.

The add apps feature provides a bizarre menu of about a dozen apps. Why just those? I can't add WhatsApp. Pretty useless.

Stuck on permission to draw over other apps. Terrible but looks good if i can get past this.

Cannot add Facebook or other apps to the application page.

Seemed promising initially, but has too many problems to be useful. Puts a pop up over any app you use which often prevents you using part of that app! Annoying and unnecessary, the home button does the same as the pop up!! The main problem with it is after a while it runs very slow, the elderly can't understand why nothing happens for 30 secs + after pressing a button!

[snipped old review where I expressed large disappointment over what appeared to be unsolicited SMS spam from the app on my mother's phone] EDIT: UIU support contacted me to let me know the app isn't meant to send unsolicited SMS advertisements; it's possible my Mum accidentally triggered this recommendation "feature". Clearly that's a bit of a fail from the user interface, but I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt here and keep with it. And apart from this snafu, it's been quite good.

Changing language of the device does not apply for the application itself. Non usable for my 80+ non-english speaking grandma

Had to disable app after I just updated to the newest version. It get stuck at a screen saying "going online". Couldn't do much with it until I set the launcher back to factory.

90% off apps aren't showing in my applications and there's no way to get support when trying to fix it

I can't remove any slide event though I have the premium version! Very disappointing!

Installed for my grandmother. Worked perfectly, but after update it now has full screen ads and she's extremely confused what they are and how to dismiss them to be able to make a call. May seem easy to everyone else but it's not to a 91 year old.

So far I'm not happy. My son upgraded to premium and somethings unlocked but I still get ads and lots of buttons try to make me upgrade which I can't because I already have.

Brilliant app, I installed it on my mum's phone and has completely changed her life!!!!

Wiser is great for my grandpa, but missing key components. The biggest flaw is that there is no 'new voice mail' notification. The handy notification board will inform you of missed call, but not a new voice mail. Also, it is a bit odd there is no way to edit the Home screen. My grandpa would like voice mail on the home screen, not off to the side. A large battery indicator icon would be nice touch- they don't make readers good enough to read it in the tiny top info bar.

Please refund my .99 for the plus version I Never was able to use. It just keeps giving me messages about how I need to upgrade to plus.

After watching seniors use various launchers this seems to be the one they have the least trouble learning. HUGE drawback inability to customize home screen. Camera can be very confusing for the >80 crowd.

Good app for seniors..but contacts is not able to access stored contacts..I am using moto e 2nd generation.. please help resolve

Great for elderly. Please fix, gallery can't find it, second page should be favourites not applications, also add time to top bar of home page. Thanks for your hard work

It's notifications board is not working with Redmi 4. If the bug will be fixed I'll give it 5 stars

Needs more customization. Odd glitches, did not recognize my messaging app. A good start but needs more work.
