The phone app keeps "losing" my Device (Samsung DVR system). This occurs about once per week. When I try to reload the Device, I get a NOT CONNECTED message. I have to uninstall WiseView, download a new copy, open it & enter my Device again. My phone is an Android Samsung Galaxy S9 64GB . For the oast 3 months, after a few years if sporadic service, this app has failed completely. It won't recognize my device. When I Uninstaller & reinstall, it still can't find my device.

The app worked great for a long time, but i no longer can see my cameras after the recent update. Update as of 8/13/2020 - Resetting didn't work for me. Called the support number and they remoted into my computer. I can't say for certain what they did, but it was changing one of the numbers for connection and it worked perfectly. And they helped with other questions while I had them on the line. John was awesome and I'm back up and running, without wifi. Give them a call!

It's like a2nd grade child developed this app during recess. I had it connected, up and running, and then one day it wouldn't bring up the cameras. I found out the hard way that you can't refresh the device, you can't delete the device, you can't reconnect the device. All you can do is uninstall and reinstall the app, and then the app will never reconnect to the DVR again. The cameras are garbage, too, by the way. Always at least one of the four reads "video loss" at any given moment. Complete waste of time, money and effort.

This app is very poorly done. Almost every time it is opened, it "forgets" the DVR to which it is connected. It requires a complete CLOSING of the app and then re-opening it and "reminding" it of where it is supposed to connect. Unfortunately, it is a necessary evil for my DVR, but it would be nice if it someone could program it who had more than a 1.8 GPA in their IS college curriculum.

The app works, but it is stupid simple and not in the good way. You have the ability to reposition your cameras while in app, but you'll be doing it every time as it doesn't save your preferences on exit. I'd also love the ability to tap into one camera and automatically switch to mainstream instead of manually switching every time i jump between views. Galaxy A11 fully updated at this time.

There is no reason it should lose connection as often as it does. Then when it loses connection it either wont reconnect or it takes FOREVER. Very disappointed in the horrible quality of this app. The last Samsung security system I had also required a garbage app. I work for a support group, in regards to programs for my company, and fixing these issues should not be complicated. Get it together!

Worked intermittently for 2 years until the latest update. Now, the mobile connection doesn't work at all. I've reset, unplugged and rebooted, deleted the app and installed it again, ect. Nothing works. I rely on these cameras heavily during winter months in order to gauge snowfall and call employees in to salt/plow streets. I was hopeful they would get the issue fixed but it's been 6 weeks now. Looks like I may have to scrap this junk system and purchase something better. Zero 🌟 if I could.

I installed it, plugged it in, programmed it on a DNS setting & has worked so smoothly, you can switch between sd/HD viewing, wish it was viewed in HD only, still playing with the settings but I will change it from DNS to a static too see if it loads faster, it should, the ir cut filter sensor went bad recently on 1 camera but I can fix unless you can send me a replacement pls? Cause the system been over the year mark from Sam's club, I love this product, easy to install, setup & use🤙🏽😃📽

Update: the app went from bad to worse. If you don't allow permission for the microphone (even if the system has no audio) the app is completely useless. I am uninstalling this app and looking for a new system. Original: It takes forever to load if it does at all. Too many issues just opening the app.

App needs permission to record audio and to take pictures and video. there is no 2 way communication with the camera or DVR, so this does not make sense. I constantly have to force stop it to get my cameras up. It will only let you play back one camera at a time in the app. There is no reverse, or slow motion playback. direct advancing by sliding the time line bar does not go by individual seconds.

Ive had my system for around 1.5 year The cameras that came with the system work well. Over all system performed as designed. Platform could use some minor upgrades. A rewind and slow rewind. A way to disable a camera and enable the camera from the app would also be helpful. Over all not a bad app or system. After last update I can now zoom from my android phone.Snapshots and record functions work well. Periodic disconnects but no more than other apps like this. Needs rewind and disable feature

Black screen when using smartphone playback. I can still see live view, but can't look back on smartphones. So far still able to playback on DVR itself. But reviews and person experience are not confident this will last much longer. Shame because Cameras are really nice. Just not enough brain power behind the scenes to keep app working. Samsung is bringing shame to what was once a good name.

Soooo out of the blue, we can no longer get this app to connect to our cameras. Not sure what changed, we have checked all of our settings and double checked... we can not connect remotely to it any longer, and its frustrating for sure. Did something change? i read another review that they are having the same problem as of today 7/14/2020

No problems like the others have. My lag time is near zero, I can view multiple multiple cameras at once, record and take pictures. Don't know what everyone else is complaining about. Setup was easy, just took a picture of the on-screen QR code, put my password in, and I was live within 30 seconds.

Horrible app and no service or answers to all of the negative reviews. The app is difficult to use and video live view is horrible picture quality. You can select a HD stream but you have to do it every time you open the app and for every camera each time you open a camera stream. It can take up to 2 minutes to open the app, connect to the dvr, select a camera to view, then select HD stream. It's awful and it's been this way for years. Clearly the company does not care.

I installed the app thought it was going to be really cool, then these 3 windows popped up requiring me to accept and let the app record the microphone and video, etc. Then I started to look at what it has access to, they only tell you about the 3 items, they don't tell you about all the other stuff they have access to that you permit them to have. I UNINSTALLED it as fast as I installed it. In this day and age of internet security requirements, mobile device security requirements, and you just threw all that out the window, what are you thinking? Anyone that loads this is begging for trouble. This app has access to: Device & app history, read sensitive log data, Photos/Media/Files, read the contents of your USB storage, modify or delete the contents of your USB storage, Camera: take pictures and videos, Microphone: record audio, Wi-Fi connection information: view Wi-Fi connections Other: receive data from Internet, view network connections, full network access.

Started off pretty good a year or so ago, but has gone totally down hill. Connection issues to the point of non existence. Definitely not dependable. You have to log in and out constantly. Certain hours of the day there no connection ability at all. Customer service is non existing. If another app works better let me know.

absolutely the worst app I've ever used. I've had to uninstall it several times since I bought my camera system over a year ago Now it will not connect to my system even after reinstall it I'd really like to know what the problem is, 8/8/19 that's great! Try to email the tech support and it's the wrong email they can't even get that right

It's been 3yrs, multiple phones and all updates and still the app opens upside-down. Not only that it makes my entire phones GUI go upside-down and extra hard to use. I have to close all my open apps and reopen it to make it work properly. Also over and over I have to login & reconnect which most the time requires me to delete the whole app because it says device already exists but won't do anything. And of course if I'm home and trying to watch my business when this happens I'm S.O.L 🤷🏾‍♂️

Once you finally get the app set-up, you realize you completely wasted your time jumping through the 43 hoops like a circus lion, because it only works on wi-fi (and barely then). Well, the only place I use wi-fi is at home....where my system is... The entire wisenet system is junk. I really wish I could return the entire system and get my $600 back. The power supplies fried 5 minutes after plugging in, the cameras constantly drop out, the "4mp" cameras have mediocre quality at best and night vision is useless after 10 feet (lol they claim 80+ feet), the user interface is garbage, the app is garbage. The customer service is a 5 out of 10 I'm assuming only because they have had enough practice with with so many complaints.

As far as DVR, and NVR apps go this is one of the easiest. The user interface is well laid out and so much easier to navigate then most other apps. As far as the people that failed access cameras outside of home. First: read instructions...negative review because of user error isn't really good for anyone. Second: port forwarding. You must forward ports in your router to whatever specifications are listed under your model. In my case it was port 9000 for wiseview.

Wiseview on a Samsung S3 tablet is total inadequate. The display is always 90deg out. If you rotate the tablet to have the display top to the tablet top, the display rotates back to be 90deg out. Also, prior to the last Android update, Wiseview allowed you to play back all 4 camera in sync. after the upgrade, the new Wiseview will not allow you to sync the camera during playbacks. You need to view each camera separately...

I use to be able to look through these cameras without being connected to the same wifi, miles away. Now it won't connect unless I'm on the same wifi. Old technology in need of being replaced because it starts turning into garbage.

I have had 0 issues with the app. It was super easy to setup and to connect to my home DVR. Ive had issues with the software on the DVR, but none with the app. Ive seen alot of people have connection issues, which typically is the result of poor internet, firewall settings, or bad reception. Also, if you are not tech savvy at all it can be difficult!
