I had to switch to AP mode, then all set up quickly. Basically there is a relay that holds for about a second, whch shorts the wire pair and mimics you pushing the wall button. very simple and clever. Works well. only issue I saw was 9 notification settings (all the same) - android phone, where I think there shoukd have only been one. Works great with Google Home.
Pretty simple and basic but doesn't seem to quite do everything it should. Smart control doesn't seem to work to open or close door by your distance away. A little so it is supposed to close door after being open for 10 mins. but doesn't seem to work. I'm guessing these are issues that need to be worked out.
Worked well until battery on sensor was replaced, after that I no longer receive notifications to let me know when it's open or closed. Receiving notifications was the main reason I purchased it. Emailed support but no reply. Update 6/1/20 support did reply and corrected the issue after an update. I'm receiving notifications again.
Good app, functions as described. I dont like using It with Alexa because you have to give weird commands, like, "Alexa, turn ON/OFF my garage". With Google, the interaction is more pleasureable because you're able to speak nornal sentences, and even get the status of the garage.
The app works to open and close the door but the smart control does not, it shows incorrect address, no map to change it (when I press on the blank map it comes up with Atlantic Ocean) as it's blank and if I press on submit it asks for dates... Why would I want to set a date for auto door function and how do I set dates anyways? Yeah this app is extremely buggy, I'm shocked it even opens the door to be honest
Worked fine for while. Literally nothing had changed on my phone and out of nowhere the app constantly crashes and won't even open anymore, notifications have stopped completely and there is not a single fix that works. Spend your money elsewhere!
Run, don't walk away from this device. it required complete access to all files and photos on your device to open the app. it also requires permission to control and make phone calls. I assume this is so it can transfer your personal information to some 3rd party in China or Eastern Europe. Is there a legitimate reason that an app to open and close my garage door needs access to all my personal data and permission to then have total access and control of my phone?
After almost a month of it crashing, the latest update (oct 26th) it seems to be working again. Fortunately it never lost functionality with Alexa, so I was able to control it via voice and Alexa app.
I've been using for over a year with no problem October 5th 2020 out of nowhere the app will not work it keeps crashing I've uninstalled and reinstalled looked for an older version nothing works. And the worst part is the company will not respond the emails to the support department.
Just recently the app keeps crashing on my Samsung Note 20. I can't even open the app to the login screen before it stops. I've tried erasing everything data and app and reinstalling but that didn't fix it. Help!
App was working fine then all of a sudden it wont open???? Whats going on here? LG g7 thinq phone. Older version of the app does work but does not allow you to login. What a stupid idea. Why not have an html or web version in case of this app crashing and locking people out their garage? Please fix thia and consider allowing all apps to connect to the server or allow users to self host their own server.
Worked for about a year but now the app constantly says door is open & sends me an open door notification every 10 min though the door is closed. It will open/close the door but it always says open (I press close, it indicates it's closing and then still says open) so now when I'm away from home I never know if it's closed or if I've forgotten to actually close it. It was great, Now it's useless 😪
Horrible . Have sent email to support and still no response from them...App all of a sudden stopped working with no warning! Nothing has changed on my phone...looking for alternative app because this is ridiculous!
App stopped working on my phone and wife's phone today. Previously the app was unable to indicate if the door was opened or closed. All this after two years of good service. 😓
RUN! This app and product is a complete waste. like others who purchased this product, I cannot make an account, rendering it impossible to configure the device. If you enjoy frustation and being out your money... this product is for you.
Collecting unwanted user data in Android but not iOS! This app requires access to media and phone. Why does a garage opener need this level access? Also this app does not require this data on iOS but only in Android! This permission levels need to be updated asap!!!
Constantly sitting there waiting for it to work. It asks me to add a device and then minutes later it finds the one I've been using for months. Horrible when you're in a hurry.
Terrible UI and buggy. It is currently crashing for no reason every time I open it - and it's happening on multiple family phones.
The app will not start if you deny it access to your phone to make calls. Obviously not necessary for a garage opener app. This app is harvesting data.
worked for a while, now get error message the wit garage keeps stopping. i reinstalled, cleared caxhe, etc but nothing works.
Only got a few troublesome months use before the device and/or app went belly up and couldn't recover. Don't waste your time with this product.
App doesn't work very well which renders this product worthless. I ended up removing the app and returning the product. What a bummer...
This app is clearly mining data. On the plus side, it no longer works so I have an excuse to replace it with something superior!
It used to work great. Now, without changing anything, it crashes immediately when I try to open
Still works with Ok Google, but app doesn't open/can't be used on phone. 5/31...all of the sudden it is working again!😁
Needed update today. Otherwise app. didn't work for last few days, crashing. OK for now. I did get door opener to work by installing tuya and using it.
Love the app. Just wish i could pick my own sounds for the garage door open and close + reminder..
Doesn't work correctly. Very easy to install and set up but will only show door as open. Doesn't show history or operation unless done through the app. Haven't been able to get any information or support to correct this issue. Strangley enough, it worked fine for a few weeks but has stopped working correctly. Very disappointed in this product.
