WJAY RADIO

It signed "on the air" on June 6, 1947. The late, legendary Bishop R. F. Davis (Greater Highway Churches) purchased WJAY-AM 1280 in the 1980's and operated it as a black gospel music format. During Bishop Davis' ownership an FM translator (93.THREE) was purchased to expand the AM signals coverage. In July 2018 Bishop Michael Blue (Door of Hope Christian Church, Marion, South Carolina) purchased WJAY to continue it's rich legacy of black gospel music programming.

Tonight, I attended the WJAY #ReLaunch Concert. Indeed, it was an absolute blessing, not just to the community, and the Pee Dee region, but to the Body of Christ at large. Congratulations to The Door Of Hope Christian Church, along with Bishop Michael and Pastor Malinda Blue. This is the Lord's doing and it is marvelous in our eyes! #tenthousandtongues
